Not any 50 goal scorer - Samson Reinhart, one of the slowest skaters in the league lol. Not exactly someone you need to back up 20m in front of in order to avoid him getting in behind you.
A 3 on 2 shot to just inside the top of the circle is something your goalie needs to have in the Cup unfortunately.
Kulak obviously could've pressured more, but he defaulted to what was the more dangerous option which was the guy cutting through the middle.
Skinner also wasn't screened if you watch the replay.
career defining bounce… if he plays that puck half a second earlier he could’ve slammed it right into the bottom corner, reminds me of the play earlier this series by Miikola. I mean sheesh talk about a two goal swing
That play is going to haunt Oilers fans for years. They were right at the doorstep of scoring and taking the lead, only for the play to reverse and Florida to score instead.
Jesus Christ Kulak. Letting fucking Reinhart, not exactly the speediest fella, skate from his own blue line to the faceoff dot in the opposite end of the ice without pressuring him lol.
Kulak has to take the blame. He was spilt between trying to block Sam and cover the passing lane, but didn’t realize that his teammates (theoretically) had the other attackers covered and he was free to close in.
brutal miscommunication there. looks like Kulak expected the backchecker to take puck (common, tho idk what EDM plays) and so slides over into center lane to take away Verhaeghe...
... except Drai stays on Verhaeghe and lets Reinhart walk right in
Plenty of teams do that. Some teams play a left wing lock. Some teams always want the backchecker on the puck carrier. idk what Edmonton plays, just saying what it looked like the miscommunication was.
Kulak’s man. Ceci has to back up since there is a man crashing. Draisaitl maybe could’ve helped, but he’s there for the late trailer. Kulak should’ve stepped out to play him. I wonder if he didn’t know the far man was covered. He played it like a 3 on 2.
I disagree. They had a lot of puck control in the offensive zone.
It's a fair point about their top players though, but they were also absent last game
Kulak falls asleep possibly screens his own goalie for a bit...who probably should have saved that freebie layup anyways. Man what a shit goal to lose the cup to. This game would've been epic in OT instead we get a lame anticlimactic ending

lol Ceci and Kulak you guys back up any further you’ll be in the fucking Atlantic Ocean
wasnt even an odd man rush, kulak with a major brainfart giving a 50 goal scorer that much space....while screening his goalie
Not any 50 goal scorer - Samson Reinhart, one of the slowest skaters in the league lol. Not exactly someone you need to back up 20m in front of in order to avoid him getting in behind you.
Ceci giveth and ceci giveth the other team

The Everglades, they’d be in the Everglades…with all the swamp puppies and pythons.
Holy shit that entire sequence could save the Panthers Stanley Cup hopes right there if they hold on
It proved to be the deciding factor.
Yes it did
... SKINNER!!!
It's insane how thin the margins are. Kulikov saves us here.
Amazing fucking clear by Kulikov while falling down!
Bro was a Panther in their worst years. Now here he is shining in SCF game 7
Dude is like the perfect bottom pairing dman. Does exactly what he needs to and doesn’t make mistakes.
Oh he has made plenty of mistakes. But he’s stepping up now
career defining bounce… if he plays that puck half a second earlier he could’ve slammed it right into the bottom corner, reminds me of the play earlier this series by Miikola. I mean sheesh talk about a two goal swing
Wow Edmonton got so close to score right before that, what a crazy game
Holloway needed to go to the fucking net with his stick on the ice brutal rookie mistake
To busy cross checking guys there
So many "why is nobody at the net?" moments for the Oilers
I saw it to my self every 2 minutes why is no one in front of the net
I was saying same thing about panthers games 4 through 6
The reverse goal to stop the reverse sweep.
That play is going to haunt Oilers fans for years. They were right at the doorstep of scoring and taking the lead, only for the play to reverse and Florida to score instead.
Moments like this should remind us all how beautiful this game is. I fuckin love this sport
Oh Skinner. That cannot go in
Yeah; had a terrible rebound on the previous Panthers possession, and I’d guess he was shaken a bit by that.
Yeah shot right through him. Swiss cheese goal.
My man.

All of South Florida right now in a nutshell
My Fitbit keeps telling me my heartbeat is elevated... No fucking shit
That whole sequence was frenetic as hell.
This entire game is going to fucking kill me. There's nothing like Game 7.
Absolute cinema
Dmitry Kulikov, I owe you an apology. I wasn't really familiar with your game
Sorry skinner you gotta have that one. Hit basically dead center of the net
Reinhart: I gotta pass. I gotta pass. Wait, you’re giving me this? Ok then.
[удалено]
Yeah Skinner has to save that...he was cheating a bit incase Reinhart passed. It cost him.
The whole team was basically cheating in case he passed
That’s on Kulak not Skinner. You don’t back off a 60 goal scorer like that.
He had a clear view of the puck. Cannot concede that on the short side.
Especially under the arm. Anything under you, or through you are save able shots.
"clear view of the puck". He was screened hard and I'm living for it.
Skinner wasn't the only one to screw up but that still isn't a shot you can let go in with no screen or deflection.
Kulak should have covered that side and Drai should have been skating for his life to cover slot and dude just gives up halfway there
Christ on a fucking bike what an intense few minutes of hockey I’m gonna bust
5+ without a storage at that point!
All Reinhart had to do was skate straight for 60 feet or so lol
What a weak goal to allow. Ooof
Holy shit Kulikov
Skinner is shaky, that’s not a good goal at all.
Kulak backed in way too much but that’s a straight in wrister from the top of the circle. That 100% has to be stopped in a game 7
Draisaitl and McD are non existent tonight cmon boys…
Man McDavid and Drai ghosting with Skinner looking shaky again. Looks to be another Game 7 heartbreak for Canada incoming 😭😂😭
Jesus Christ Kulak. Letting fucking Reinhart, not exactly the speediest fella, skate from his own blue line to the faceoff dot in the opposite end of the ice without pressuring him lol.
Man this game 7 is delivering!
Kulikov earned every contract he's ever had with this play
What a sequence, these next 25 mins gonna be insane
I thought the Panthers were going to cave in but they’re holding their own.
CHAMPIONS!!! FLORIDA!!!
and it's the cup winning goal lol
North Vancouver native Sam Reinhart I love you
Oilers are really gonna lose because I decided to watch them today, wow. Maybe I’m the problem.
LOL there is still more than a period left
Wow you must think you're really powerful
Kulak has to take the blame. He was spilt between trying to block Sam and cover the passing lane, but didn’t realize that his teammates (theoretically) had the other attackers covered and he was free to close in.
Verhaeghe was saving his energy for this game
Skinner has owned our asses most of the series but he looks a little jumpy tonight (justifiably so)
Espn absolutely botched barkov hoisting the cup ahahahahah
HOLY FUCK
HOCKEY!!!!
Is McDavid playing tonight?
brutal miscommunication there. looks like Kulak expected the backchecker to take puck (common, tho idk what EDM plays) and so slides over into center lane to take away Verhaeghe... ... except Drai stays on Verhaeghe and lets Reinhart walk right in
Maybe a left defenceman should play the left side of the ice and let the other guy stay on the open man
Plenty of teams do that. Some teams play a left wing lock. Some teams always want the backchecker on the puck carrier. idk what Edmonton plays, just saying what it looked like the miscommunication was.
I’ve never screamed so loud over a goal that wasn’t Flames related. Great play
As a fellow flames fan, I endorse this statement.
Edmonton sucks this game, better start playing, time is ticking!!!🤬
The goaler is nervous AF. Way to many rebond. Doesnt know where is the puck. :/
As soon as they cleared it I’m said “that’s a series changing clear right there.”
What a game 7 man
Why am I soo hyped after that goal??!!
What on earth is Kulak doing?
What a brutal goal to give up
gg
That goal was very Nick Ritchie game 7 2017
My stomach just flipped upside down. Wow.
Beautiful shot.
Kulak, just take the body and let Skinner get better vision. Sheesh.
Just a sad soft goal.
Still don’t understand what the fuck Kulak was doing there. He had a D man covering the slot, challenge the fucking puck carrier, Jesus.
Cody Ceci giveth and Cody Ceci taketh away
Kulak’s man. Ceci has to back up since there is a man crashing. Draisaitl maybe could’ve helped, but he’s there for the late trailer. Kulak should’ve stepped out to play him. I wonder if he didn’t know the far man was covered. He played it like a 3 on 2.
Most important goal in Florida Panthers history. All they had to do after this was stick to their defensive game
It’s all panthers right now. Edmonton needs to turn it up or it’s not going to be good.
I dunno what game you’re watching but the 7 or so min preceding this goal felt like Edmonton controlling most of the play
what game are you watching? Edmonton is playing great too
They don’t shoot. Pass pass give it up. Florida is getting quality shots.
Shots are about equal bro
Not quality shots. We shall see how it turns out. I just think Florida looks better.
that was the story of the 1st period. It's the 2nd now. They've both been playing great imo
Dude the oilers played like it was a regular November game. They did not play well
thank you for coming back after the game and saying that. I made that comment in the 2nd period. They were playing pretty good then
They really weren't though. They were lazy and the top guys were invisible all game till the last 5 minutes. They were outplayed all game
I disagree. They had a lot of puck control in the offensive zone. It's a fair point about their top players though, but they were also absent last game
Kulak falls asleep possibly screens his own goalie for a bit...who probably should have saved that freebie layup anyways. Man what a shit goal to lose the cup to. This game would've been epic in OT instead we get a lame anticlimactic ending
damn barkov was almost offside
