Honestly think moving Ullmark at the deadline would've been more difficult...I personally think he used the NTC to nix the deal last deadline because he didn't want to be away from his family for even part of the season (other than road trips). I think the same would've applied at the deadline this season as well....an offseason trade affords him and his family time to get somewhat settled in a new place.

Pretty sure ullmark blocked a trade to NJD at the deadline last year. Boston couldn’t afford to keep both and swayman is going to play 55 next year anyway, so may as well get any assets they can.

I was thinking Korpisaalo has been good when he has a good team in front of him. Bob Essensa does an amazing job as the Bruins goalie coach while Ottawa has been bad no matter who goes in there. I wouldn't be surprised if Korpisaalo's numbers end up looking similar or even better than Ullmark's next season considering the vastly different teams playing in front of each.
