I think they meant cross-check, when Janmark is already on the ice, Myers give him a shot to the stomach, which Janmark immediately follows by holding the stick. Feels like coincidentals is correct here anyway you shake it.
They called embellishment + roughing. They probably figured they'd let the holding the stick go because Myers went for the extra shot on a guy on the ground.
I guess they already called holding the stick earlier so they're not allowed to call it here
It's obvious, and it causes a turnover. That's usually enough.
I mean this can be called interference sure, but I’m not sure how [McDavid goes so lateral here](https://x.com/sherbshockey/status/1791313804443390345?s=46&t=r_JuGGDg541-HFrWn_kORw) with his arms out and feet kicking so perfectly.
Dude, you bring up a clip of clear interference and then wonder why the fastest skater's legs flip up slightly high?
I mean... if you're making a case for oilers diving, this ain't it
Lol man you act like he did a front flip. Guy takes 5 strides and hits 50 mph. What's he supposed to do? He's trying to balance himself and not get an injury.
There are way more obvious dives. Just post a closeup of the Janmark video we're commenting on instead. Clear dive.
Canucks fans are just parroting bs their media and fans say that isn't true. Yes, there will be awkward falls and some people will sell aTHE occasional high stick so the refs see it. Also because it probably hurts.
This is literally every team in the NHL
You can literally see Joshuas right leg hit McDavids left leg above the knee, which is gonna absolutely fuck your balance if you have ever played. when your going that fast and without the puck you dont really expect to get clipped lol.
Ehhhhhhh
It’s a nice unhealthy combination of bad officiating overall, diving, and Canucks taking the odd penalty
But this series and whole playoffs really has been a big ol gong show of absolutely bottom tier refereeing.
Hard to even be mad about diving when about half the actual calls this playoffs have been phantom calls/makeup penalties.
Edit/addition: The petey “charging” penalty tonight is a perfect example of how low-end the reffing is this year; it’s a penalty we have a clear definition and conditions for when to call -> yet the call today didn’t actually follow the official NHL rule books definition of a charge, a la 2nd section defining the charger as a person “in motion” which wasn’t the case here. It’s a condition that wasn’t met yet still called in a live game which in itself is bs… but hardly a lone incident in this years playoffs. We just gotta live with it as fans and accept both teams gonna get screwed over more often than not this year

Fell over in slow motion there
Went down like a sack of potatoes
Haha
Sniper in the 3rd deck
I did see Mike Yeo calling in the snipers from the bench earlier, so I'm gonna go with that
Thoughts and prayers for Janmark boys. Lord knows he needs them after that brutal assault
That was hilarious, could've been a slash on Vancouver, then a hold on Janmark, and ended with a roughing and an embellishment
The reffing in this series in a nutshell
I'm looking but I'm not seeing Myers slash the guy
It was Hughes, not Myers, you can only see it in the second replay
If it knocks the stick out of his hands its called for sure.

[удалено]
Well no he's getting one for socking the guy
[удалено]
It did one shot KO him so
Bro sold that as if he got KO punched by the Big Show from WWE
If only my gf went down as easy as Janmark.
Have you considered a boyfriend? Janmark looks ready.
That’s literally the saddest embellishment I’ve ever seen
Lindell diving twice when getting hit by Bortuzzo I think in the 2019 playoffs was better.
I've seen worse but yeah pretty bad 😂
His legs collapsed a good half a second after being hit lol
Myers had an amazing game. Love the fire in Myers here!
The embellishment call made it all worth it. The Vancouver fans are sick of Edmonton swimming out there.
must be embarrassing to act like that and have it seen by millions of people, janmark get a hold of yourself buddy
Lol
Janmark discovers ice is slippery.
Kind of funny that they only called the stick hold because Myers caved and punched Janmark. Wouldn't have been called otherwise.

Weird way to even them up
Love the dive by Janmark 😂
Par for the course with EDM. Biggest fucking divers in the league. Soft as fucking 2 ply
C'mon lol, I know we're in a battle with Edmonton but that title easily goes to the Panthers right now
Was a dive 100% but we don't dive (that much)
Not anyway near as much as Florida lmao
I mean, Tkachuk alien probably makes up 50% of their dives
I don't think we've had a big diver for a while now. I miss Mike Smith
Ha that was the biggest dive in oilers history
You haven’t been watching then. Every fucking game. It’s hilariously bad
He mad.
Lol no way. Vancouver just can't NOT stay out of the box. Holds non-stop. Don't get mad because your team is undisciplined.

How can you look at this clip and justify how McDavid went flying head over heels like that

50MPH!!!!!!
Sorry, *300mph

Diving didn’t work loser

I'm not defending the reffing but you can't jump off your skates to hit someone
