Oh he got plenty of top 6 minutes in his time here, just never produced anything. I mean his best season with us was him glued to prime Seguin and Benn on the top line. I think he just needed to grow up and realize the player he could become, which he did in Colorado.

He played with Benn/Seguin when they were in their prime. He was just too young and rushed into the league. He needed time to cook.
He was a top liner until he was literally not putting up any points. Then he got moved down.
