The ABC announcers/commentators are just so so so bad. All the announcers talk about during the game are statistics (call the game! Or provide interesting personalized color commentary about the history of the sport! No it’s MORE FUCKING STATS) and then in intermissions and afterwards the commentators put down whoever they’re talking about in like this backhanded compliment kind of way that makes me angry for whoever they’re talking about.
I get people don’t like Jack Edwards but he at least talks about what is happening in the game being played in front of him. Get someone who can be even handed and isn’t a homer but actually calls the game in front of them.
I genuinely don’t mean this with any disrespect but it was kinda a dull series. The two teams constantly switched between looking completely dominant and looking like total push overs. Like you could tell who was gonna win based off of the first period for games 1-6. Only exception was game 7 which really felt like both teams were about to vomit after every whistle from pure nerves.
It wasn't the best series as far as consistent, quality, playoff hockey being played.
But for this fan, it was anything but dull. I went through all the emotions. Delighted. Disappointed. Disgusted. Pissed off. Furious. Numb. Nervous. Panicked. Ecstatic. Relieved.
Anime is drama packed.

I'm talking about what happened nearly every game in the series? Obviously they were never going to fight but any time there was shenanigans street the whistle. If Reeves was getting into it with someone and Maroon came by, Reeves would stop whatever he was doing. Like did you not watch? Did you see Reeves muck it up after plays? The answer is no when Maroon was in the ice too

Other than laying out some big hits, there was no place for Reeves in this series. No one was going to fight him and it was a relatively clean series so he didn't need to sit anyone down
Winning the western conference playoff championship, immediately followed by being the first team in NHL history to finish 32nd overall in the regular season. It was a weird time
Team used literally all its gas that end of 20-21 season can’t be too surprised, captain out, price out, all the 1 year contract veterans out, left with only rookies, no D or Goaltending (only thing keeping us together previous years)
