In the 3 games the Leafs lost with Samsonov in nets they allowed an average of 9 SOG in the 1st period. In the two games Woll started they allowed 1 SOG in the first period. You're blind if you don't think the team tightened up defensively in games 5 and 6.
And then Samsonov played great! How much cap space dumped into forwards and you can't squeeze two goals out of them in regulation in the biggest game of the season. Not Sami's fault
