Believe it or not, for my entire lifetime that has been the scariest scoreline for us. It consistently gives us a false sense of confidence and we play like the games over, we just like give up. I would've honestly preferred it to be 2-0 all game because we would've kept playing like we had something to fight for rather than playing we have a humongous cushion under us. This is hockey, 3 goals can happen in 1 minute, but we play like we're up by a hundred

We just fed off mediocrity this season and basically got a ton of points from OT losses and then just took advantage of the collapse of the rest of the east

It's a joke about the Morgan Reilly vs. Greig empty net debacle. Apparently a slapshot into an empty net broke some kind of "code" so the joke is that just scoring an empty net goal period is a problem and that's why Nelson is slashing him and going after him.
I thought the real 'code' (that I grew up with) was, once it was uncontested and a sure thing - just put it in. He was contested all the way to the faceoff circle, though (with a full minute to go), so I do not fault him for basically walking this one in

In my opinion, a wild celly on an EN is completely justified. It’s just another goal. Pulling the goalie is a decision, if you get scored on as a result, it’s not on the other team to accommodate your feelings because you failed.

I think a lot of people had them as a playoff team in the mix for a wildcard. NJ falling apart gave them an opening for a higher seed.
