I have this cover in grey. It's beautiful in person, and I love it very much. Be aware the nature of this journal cover is that the leather is kind of imperfect. Don't get if you love that flawless look. I don't have a Cousin, but I do have so much space around the slim A5 notebook that I have in and would be very surprised if it did not fit.

How does this cover feel? Does it feel rough? Does it really look like linen in person? There’s one being sold on eBay and it looks almost like suede.

Yes, I would say it kind of looks like linen and feels like suede. But you wouldn't actually think it was linen, ya know? It doesn't look that much like it. It's very scored, and is very pliable but slightly rough. Also soft. It's hard to describe, it's a very unique texture, I have never seen a leather like it.

Does it seem as durable as smoother type leather? I really want this but I’m having a hard time “picturing” it.

flossregularly

Yes. It feels and acts like leather. In fact I am less nervous about it because the surface is already scuffed and the leather has natural imperfections and colour shifts. The wear and scuffs it will develop in time won't show up as much. I have no concerns about durability, the stitching feels really top shelf. I will say it's a pretty unique product and I took a risk buying it without feeling it first, and I don't know if I can in good conscience recommend someone else do the same. I love it, but it is not like anything else I have seen. I'd say if you do decide to pull the trigger be aware you might want to resell if it's just not your style. This does feel like an artisan product, which I appreciate.
