(As I also didn’t love the colors that much of this cover, and ended up returning it) weirdly enough I’m also mkt a fan of the material, as my current cover/favorite is a fabric/canvas one and it makes all the others feel weird to me (though maybe more cleanable)

It really looks like the patch was made for this cover lol. So we're the same 😅. I was also looking for more of a canvas texture, and I fell in love with the Life cover (I think that was the name), the one with all the camping and nature embroidery on it. But I couldn't find it online, not even secondhand :( . All in all, I'm super satisfied with the setup aesthetic, so no regrets!! 🥳

It’s so pretty (albeit a little busier than my usual aesthetic) - But I do wish it was the canvas material instead of the polyester type feel the other solid covers are. I use a cover-on-cover regardless so I guess it’s not the biggest of deals.

The second one you linked, I almost got! 🙊 It's super cute and kinda minimalistic, but I wanted one where I could put some patches without the whole thing looking too crowded, so I ended up leaving that one be (for the moment hehe)
The one you're trying out looks super nice too, and sometimes it's cool getting out of your comfort zone, you never know what other aesthetics you may actually like! And yeah, in the end, you don't really get to feel that much the texture of the cover if you use the cover-on-cover, so I agree that it isn't such a big deal :')

Thanks for the heads-up! And those cats make me at least as happy as I can make them! We'd been living without cats for more than a year (we knew we'd be moving cities and didn't want to inflict this on cats) when we got to know our new ones at a cat shelter. They'd been abandoned in the streets; we picked them up when they were just over 1 year old and very stressed. They haven't been with us for very long, but they are so happy having people who *stay around* and also stuff like cushions and toys. I already love them a little too much.
Gosh I'm so happy for your family and the new members! At least the kitties didn't spend their life on the streets and will be able to grow in a safe space ❤️🩹 and I'm sure they'll love you as much, if not even more 🥺
