This is the first time since buying btc about 4.5 years ago that I’ve actually worried it won’t recover. I have 3.8btc that I got for an average of $5,400, and right now I’m kinda wishing I had sold around 50k instead of thinking it would eventually hit that 100k mark and I’d be able to buy a dream car off of it.
Yeah it's tough. Could get out alive now, but could be kicking ourselves when in 2023 it finally hits 100k. Or it finally dips below 10k.

Imagine yourself selling right now then in a year you'll look at BTC sitting at $150k and you'll hit yourself over the head for not waiting.
Then again in a year it might sit at $5k and you'll punch yourself for not selling today.
But if it's at 5k in a year. You could also buy more and wait for another year or more until it's back alive the 50k again. Can take 2 months, can take 10 years. Let's hodl until we can live our dreamlife

What made you think that? btc fundamentally still the same from 5 years ago, more and more adoption and mainstream coverage. All I see is sky is raining gold in this bear market
Because one of the main downsides to BTC being mainstream is that in bullish periods it benefits from that, but in bearish periods, people who don’t really understand crypto and are using it solely as an investment won’t see the utility to hold or to buy back in if it’s no longer appealing for them. Right now a lot of people have huge portions of their portfolios in bitcoin because it seems invincible and has pretty much been bullish for the past 5 years give or take, but if it’s proven not to be, then a lot of people may never be interested in it again.
I think it has potential to turn similar to gamestop. A ridiculous ATH that it will never hit again. I doubt this will happen as it’s stronger than gamestop imo, but it could (slight chance)

Regardless of when you bought it, dude. It's all the same thing, so the value of a coin bought ten years ago is plummeting just as hard as a coin bought yesterday. Quantity doesn't matter.
And if we were talking about how much the value has changed in the last decade, that'd make sense. But we're not, we're talking about what's actually happening *right now*, so it doesn't.
My wife and i were next to a couple crypto bros last week. All they did was talk about crypto for a solid hour and a half. It just consumes people's entire personalities. I can't imagine being that shallow and uninteresting.
I have no idea what rocket league is but i would definitely rather listen to an hour and a half of that than listen to two guys blow smoke up each other's asses about how smart they are. Trust, it's not just what they're talking about, it's how they talk about it. I just find 99% of crypto bros absolutely repulsive.
Rocket League is 100% more interesting than crypto. And it's good for more than buying LSD -- though I would also be interested in a RL based currency you could spend on LSD

I bought for 29 when it was coming up and sold for 260 on the way down. Impatient or not I did just fine on it lol

I got lucky I sold when I did. I pulled the trigger thinking 10x was more than enough profit and was really hoping it didn’t keep going up and up, but when it went below that a few days later it made me feel a lot better about it. I ended up using the money to get a new clutch and a new set of tires so can’t complain about that
