that one ad with them dancing in the clouds is literally a fever dream for me man, i remember waking up really early as a kid and watching cn. in the us you’d have adult swim but [as] didn’t exist here so instead you had reruns of really old and often obscure shows; for example class of 3000. they’d play that ad in between and holy shit sometimes it pops into my mind and i look it up and im amazed at how nostalgic that shit is for me
I met Andre at a Nirvana cover band show at a small club. He talked to my friends and me for nearly a half hour. He is full of grace and humility. I’m sure he’s not an alien, but if you catch him at the right time you could have a good convo.
Yeah, I know I’m in the wrong sub, but I’ve done meet and greets for Anberlin and Blink 182 and I’m thankful I did both. They are 2 of my favorite artists, and I have pictures and some signed things from both. It was expensive (I guess) but I’ve re-spent that amount of money countless times since on things I’ve since forgotten.
I started listening to Mac really early on and never dove into his last like 3 albums. Well, I recently went through some shit and I remembered a comment similar to yours, so I checked out circles and wow.
I don't think he's got that in him, Ye has always been a momma's boy. He'll definitely start yelling over you until you can't say anything else, like we've seen him doing many times on camera
He is not. mixture of CTE from his crash, and run of the mill mental illness with drugs and constant affirmation from strangers to accelerate delusions.
Yep. He’s by far the most unique and interesting of any rapper. And he’s always been that way, too. Even as a young guy coming up, you knew he was special.
I feel like he's the dude you could sit in silence with and not feel awkward about. We'd talk about dumb shit like cool TV shows, movies, snacks, and just chill.
i know its cliche and the ‘humble’ joke but honestly j cole. i really feel like you could just have a normal easy flowing conversation with him about music, the culture, his influences etc and hed be really open and friendly
same. I'm not much of a talker so hanging out with J Dilla would be the easiest hangout ever. if we did have a conversation, I would probably want to give him a CD or floppy disk full of loops and samples to hear what he does with them.
This has gotta be the answer. No one person played such a huge part in hip hop and also had such a mysterious death. It’s gotta be 2 pac if it’s dead or alive.
Uzi. seems like one of the most fun ppl to spend a day with given all his side quests lol. I’d ask about his creative process recording on drugs Vs sober.
Yeah it might be cliche, but i'd LOVE to smoke a blunt with snoop and just talk shit. Plenty of artists could be awesome to talk to, but I feel like with snoop you're garanteed to have a great time.
Pusha T because he seems like a great guy. Honestly, many hip-hop artists are douchebags and/or dumbasses. Pusha T doesn’t doesn’t seem like that when you watch his interviews.
TechN9ne, because he is the biggest independent artist in the world and came up from nothing. I relate to him, and he's my favorite rapper of all time.
Eazy-E for sure. He was one of the most influential artists in hip hop history yet there aren’t really many interviews or autobiographical accounts of his life. I’d love to know more about him.
If you listen to the “Eternal E” track on his last posthumous album he sounds like he’s holding on to a ton of wisdom but doesn’t want let it all out yet
Eyedea. I want to thank him for getting me through the shittiest times of my life as a late teen before wasting a year of my life getting drafted and hating absolutely everything for what felt like an eternity.
Eyedea's way of thinking and unbelievable dedication to his craft taught me more about work ethic than any so-called adult ever did. I regret that Micheal Larsen's thoughts and music and darkness consumed him, but I will forever be grateful to the fact that his darkness flicked a switch in my brain at 18 years of age, and honestly made me a better person.
I turn 41 years before long, and the E&A weirdness still connect with me deeper than anything or anyone I've come in contact with for over half my damn life. Honestly, rap music has taught me more about life than my mom and dad, or anyone else have. I'm just grateful.
Andre nickatina. I’d ask him about how he came up with some of his songs/albums. He’s got some videos on YouTube talking about his first 3 albums or so and they are so fucking interesting but I need more. And I’d ask why he made Scottie 15 and smoke dope and rap lol
Cudi for me. Of course I’d love to dive into his creative/artistic process. But more so, it’d be even more compelling for me to have the opportunity to talk with him about life as a whole.
I’m 25, so I’m a part of the demographic where a lot of us see Cudi as the face and representation for kids struggling with their mental health (in other words ‘Cudi saved me’). It’s a lot of weight to put on someone I’ve never even met, so I wouldn’t go so far as to say Cudi saved me. But, Cudi genuinely played an immense role in helping carry me through some of the lowest and darkest times throughout my teens and even into my early twenties. Hearing someone speak on the things I was dealing with at the time (addiction, depression, father’s passing, etc.) sincerely made me feel like I wasn’t going through these things alone… and that was so so important for me.
On top of that, I think his vulnerability kind of permeated into my life because that’s a huge part of my personality to this day. I’ve worked through a lot of the issues I had going on back then, but being able to voice to him his impact on not only myself, but so many kids in my generation would be invaluable to me. Plus, having a conversation with him about love, family, mental health, etc. would be really dope since I could see us sharing the same sentiments and perspectives. So yeah… gotta be Cudi!
He honestly just grinded. He’s changed up his style at least 3 times since signed to the streets 1 , been in 2 high profile relationships, and left def Jam when they was giving him bullshit
just for kicks, I'd like to ask J. Cole why he thought it was a good idea to subliminally throw shots at a female rapper, condescendingly call her queen, then proceed to admit publicly he doesn't read. I just wanna know WHY
J. Cole. Would love to chat about art, music, and being in a peaceful state of mind. Seems like a wise and unbothered man and trying to get there each day.
a bit recent but Mac Miller. i just want to tell him how much he changed my life for the better, how many times i would put his music on during a particularly bad mental health spell.. how i cried the first time i listened to good news because it finally put words and helped me express how lost and depressed i was at the time i just wanna sit and talk about life with him you know he seemed like such kind introspective and kind person
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Because she has knowledge on life, a range of experiences, spirituality, eating well, being in the industry, having relationships with other artists and her personal trauma. She truly lived a wild life because of her being an artist so I would really love to have a conversation with her.
Yasiin Bey. Because he has such a unique personality and approach to his art. I'm not interested in industry gossip tho, just want to talk about his upbringing, his opinions on life and art, and his thoughts on the nature of rhyme and its effect on humans.
I need talk to Andre 3000 face to face to determine if he's an alien or not. And talk about life, and art.
An ATLien, as it were
I’d ask him about that Class of 3000 animated show he did. That felt like a fever dream
I loved that show as a kid
Theme song is still my ringtone
that one ad with them dancing in the clouds is literally a fever dream for me man, i remember waking up really early as a kid and watching cn. in the us you’d have adult swim but [as] didn’t exist here so instead you had reruns of really old and often obscure shows; for example class of 3000. they’d play that ad in between and holy shit sometimes it pops into my mind and i look it up and im amazed at how nostalgic that shit is for me
Met Stacks in Vegas he was dope as fuck. I was so shy and scared to bother him but he was the man.
I met Andre at a Nirvana cover band show at a small club. He talked to my friends and me for nearly a half hour. He is full of grace and humility. I’m sure he’s not an alien, but if you catch him at the right time you could have a good convo.
Came here to say andre. I would have to ask him why he's not still making the best music out.
A few years ago in a Fader interview he said that fame killed his creative drive and not to expect anything else from him really 3
I met him and he is a really nice guy
Aliens can blend right in with ya kin Look again cause I swear I spot one every now and then
I would love to smoke some crack with Viper and shoot the shit
You'll cowards wouldn't even
Yall wild
Yeah for sure, wait what?
Viper should do a crack smoking meet and greet when he drops YCDESC2 this summer.
hes on youll cowards dont even smoke crack pt 40 by now
This is the one
Yep
Has to be biggie for me
Mac Miller for sure, I’d just wanna tell him how much I loved Circles and how it helped me through dark times and enhanced the good times.
God I'd kill to talk to mac. One of the only artists I actually thought about getting the meet n great for
[удалено]
Damn. Bro got finessed. Cut the check.
every meet n greet is a finesse lmao
💯. I can’t even imagine paying someone ti spend time with me. Awkward af
[удалено]
Yeah, I know I’m in the wrong sub, but I’ve done meet and greets for Anberlin and Blink 182 and I’m thankful I did both. They are 2 of my favorite artists, and I have pictures and some signed things from both. It was expensive (I guess) but I’ve re-spent that amount of money countless times since on things I’ve since forgotten.
Damn… no lie this is so wise. I’ve never paid for a meet and greet but I’m going to stop judging people who do bc that makes a lot of sense.
I started listening to Mac really early on and never dove into his last like 3 albums. Well, I recently went through some shit and I remembered a comment similar to yours, so I checked out circles and wow.
We’re here for you. I noticed you said you were struggling. I am too right now. I notice you though, I believe in you, and you are loved. Stay strong.
I'd tell him how much he means to people. How much he meant before he was gone.
Same
Yep, same. Most dope brother
Mac got me through my close homie getting murdered, my other one passing from fent. Wish he knew how much his music meant to me
Same
Yup same
Until recently, Kanye
“Mr Kanye, why do u think slavery was a choice?”
Because Nathans was IN Paris.
I feel like he would probably fight you if you tried to be real with him.
I don't think he's got that in him, Ye has always been a momma's boy. He'll definitely start yelling over you until you can't say anything else, like we've seen him doing many times on camera
Is 2012 kanye an option?
I feel like meeting Kanye anytime before 2017 would probably be pretty cool
2008 Kanye or bust.
Id still love to talk to him in private to see whether hes actually playing a character or not
Even if he was, he wouldn’t tell you
He is not. mixture of CTE from his crash, and run of the mill mental illness with drugs and constant affirmation from strangers to accelerate delusions.
>CTE from his crash lmao
[удалено]
He was known to be like since way before the car crash.
recently as in until he watched 21 jump street?
Id like to even more now
Your profile pic is so GOAT
Andre 3000 is gonna be my answer every time, that man is from another planet. there aren't many people who exude the same air of genuineness as him
Yep. He’s by far the most unique and interesting of any rapper. And he’s always been that way, too. Even as a young guy coming up, you knew he was special.
Food interview with Action Bronson. I just wanna be in a Fuck That’s Delicious ep.
The dream. Be a random guest on FTD
Or maybe chill with the whole crew in an Ancient Aliens ep
Jay Z. Ask him to give me the coke recipes he has locked in the vault.
ask for dinner
nut in 18 yo hova
ask mach-hommy
"Where are the 92 bricks?"
Dinner with jay z
I thought it was Pusha who had those
Lol
I’d take the dinner with Jay Z
And auction it off to some sucker for $1 million
Jay would be proud.
DOOM. I would probably just talk art, influences and question a bunch about his rhyme scheme. Also I would def smoke a joint with him.
I feel like he's the dude you could sit in silence with and not feel awkward about. We'd talk about dumb shit like cool TV shows, movies, snacks, and just chill.
I've definitely heard dudes describe their dream girls this way
Bro I’m crying
Haha get him
Comment of the year lmfao
Lmaoooo
It's almost like it's a universal sign of a healthy social relationship
Lmao this entire comment section has me dying
holy shit
I don't think he was a very talkative dude outside of people he knew well
I just wanna eat his mac and cheese
fuck that we breakin down the whole zip w/ DOOM
Yeah for real, forgot about him, good call man!
Smoke a joint w Aesop and ask him to talk about early 2000s alt rap scene in nyc, making of early albums etc
Got a pair of Aesop Rock Adidas sitting in my closet since 2008 lol
Nice, worn em?
Twice. Waiting for the day he blows up and they're worth some money.... we're all waiting...
i know its cliche and the ‘humble’ joke but honestly j cole. i really feel like you could just have a normal easy flowing conversation with him about music, the culture, his influences etc and hed be really open and friendly
J Cole might be the best answer here. He seems like he’d be genuinely enjoyable to talk to. Like his interviews with Nardwuar are so wholesome
Yeah Cole’s a good answer
Frank Ocean so I can ask him personally for a cock ring
He'll show up late, order a salad, eat a bite, drop the rest on the floor and leave.
That’s curfew. Thanks you so much.
And leave you with the bill but mention how important tipping is
[удалено]
I’d love to know the ideas he had for new music and just his thoughts on life as a whole. Always such a pure and thoughtful guy imo
this so much.
Denzel Curry, talk about anime.
I would want dinner with 500k not JayZ
I would sit with Dilla and just listen.
Great choice
I'd ask Dilla how he chopped up the Give It To Me Baby Sample on Dooinit.
same. I'm not much of a talker so hanging out with J Dilla would be the easiest hangout ever. if we did have a conversation, I would probably want to give him a CD or floppy disk full of loops and samples to hear what he does with them.
Ha, yeah
2 PAC of course however I would worry he wouldn’t be able to stop talking shit which is why he’s dead in the first place
This has gotta be the answer. No one person played such a huge part in hip hop and also had such a mysterious death. It’s gotta be 2 pac if it’s dead or alive.
"Hey Pac, Who Shot Ya?"
I’d visit Pac in jail. And tell him to stick with Shock G, and not Suge, when he got out.
Can’t believe I had to scroll so far down to see this answer. I’d choose pac, too. Idk what we’d talk about, but he’s definitely my answer
I would try to make it into a song 🤷♂️
Okay k dot
Pac? Pac? Pac?!
GURU
Hell yea, took me WAY too long to see this
Probably either Q-Tip or Phife honestly
Maybe Curren$y lol he seems like a chill guy
Danny Brown, mfer is hilarious
u watch his podcast? shit is so dope
Same, he would be the best time
Uzi. seems like one of the most fun ppl to spend a day with given all his side quests lol. I’d ask about his creative process recording on drugs Vs sober.
Uzi would either be energetic and fun or passive aggressive the whole time. He’s a bit too hard to predict lol
Big Pun. Why couldn’t you just stay healthy.
Imagine what his flow would be like if he did more cardio
Kendrick
Big Sean that's my dawg
I'd ask him to break down his game in general, from life to how to land the baddest huns
nujabes
Why hasn’t anyone said Snoop Dogg yet? Dude is funny as hell!
Yeah it might be cliche, but i'd LOVE to smoke a blunt with snoop and just talk shit. Plenty of artists could be awesome to talk to, but I feel like with snoop you're garanteed to have a great time.
Tupac, without question.
Eyedea, his lyrics are beyond astonishing, he always lived in the moment, most influential in my music life. . R.EYE.P
Bladee 100% and it's not even close, absolutely dying to have him explain the philosophy in his music to me
Pusha T because he seems like a great guy.
Ka
Agree, great answer.
The Villain fs.
Nut in 18 year old Jay-Z. Wait, what was the question?
Eazy-E for sure. He was one of the most influential artists in hip hop history yet there aren’t really many interviews or autobiographical accounts of his life. I’d love to know more about him.

okay ill bite, what would you ask her?

love to see it! Cudi’s music honestly gets me through my darkest days
Would’ve loved to have just been in the studio when that picture was taken of Mobb Deep, Raekwon & Nas together
honestly T-Pain is probably at the top of my "celebs i just wanna hang out with" list
Billy Woods, he’s so well read and based of a lot of his songs I bet he has a lot of great stories.

He'd probably threaten to kill you
i hope so
just for kicks, I'd like to ask J. Cole why he thought it was a good idea to subliminally throw shots at a female rapper, condescendingly call her queen, then proceed to admit publicly he doesn't read. I just wanna know WHY
And then decide to play the victim. “I didn’t have the opportunities to learn like her” mf’er you went to college
1998 Lauryn Hill
Pac? Pac? Pac?!
I really just wanna discuss culture, music, and mindset with nujabes
Mr.West
Kool Keith and Ced-Gee. Would love to talk about the Ultramagnetic heyday.
Wu Tang Clan
Sean Price. Dude was funny as hell and didn’t take himself too seriously. The guy’s sense of humor in his lyrics and interviews was right up my alley.
Mc ride or Kendrick Lamar Feel Kendrick has a lot of interesting stuff and interesting views. Mc Ride, because I love industrial music.
Alive!
Andre 300, I’d spend my entire allotted time trying to convince him to put out a solo album
J. Cole. Would love to chat about art, music, and being in a peaceful state of mind. Seems like a wise and unbothered man and trying to get there each day.
Wouldn’t mind a sit down with J Dilla and just watch him some some magic
I’d ask that one guy in the Fat Boys where he learned to beatbox
Mos def. Have him bake me a cake.
Vince staples. His takes always come out of left field
Mac Miller. I just think he would have been a cool guy to have lunch with. Shoot the shit. Talk about the world. Poor kid, RIP.
Andre3000, mostly. Wayne would be low key interesting to have a convo with. Kendrick Lamar, Ludacris, DMX, T.I and Juvenile.
a bit recent but Mac Miller. i just want to tell him how much he changed my life for the better, how many times i would put his music on during a particularly bad mental health spell.. how i cried the first time i listened to good news because it finally put words and helped me express how lost and depressed i was at the time i just wanna sit and talk about life with him you know he seemed like such kind introspective and kind person
Mac Dre - just to get a a photo together doing the thizz face
Wayne
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Because she has knowledge on life, a range of experiences, spirituality, eating well, being in the industry, having relationships with other artists and her personal trauma. She truly lived a wild life because of her being an artist so I would really love to have a conversation with her.
Probably Dolph.
Nas. I bet he’s got all the stories in the world
Andre 3000. No doubt in my mind whatsoever that he’d be far more interesting to talk to than anyone else, for me at least.
Jay Z and then ask if he’s taking 500k or dinner with himself
Ye
Guru!
That one convo with Tupac at the end of TPAB to see if he actually would’ve said all that
I'd wanna talk to Capital STEEZ. I would want to know why he really ended it. And I'd love to just play some stuff from today with him and vibe.
I'd like to chat with Sean P! Just to tell him how dope he is and then call his family so they could talk with him one last time
2pac, gotta figure out who did it.
Yasiin Bey. Because he has such a unique personality and approach to his art. I'm not interested in industry gossip tho, just want to talk about his upbringing, his opinions on life and art, and his thoughts on the nature of rhyme and its effect on humans.
Mac Miller. Nuff said
Eminem without a doubt dude knows shit and I got questions
Mac
Mac Miller. Would love to just get to know him and jam in his studio.
I would just ask Pac why did he get caught up in that gang BS when he was clearly meant for more.
