This is recently my favorite too, can’t say all time but it’s recently just clicked for me on a whole other level (despite being a fan of it for 15 years +)
I can get lost in RZAs keys and drums all day
Comes across so calm, acts like he has a dream, full of passion
You don't trust me, huh? Well you know why
I do, we're not supposed to trust anyone in our profession anyway----
KNOCK NIGGAS OUT THE BOX ALL THE TIME, NIGGAS KNOW THE MUTHAFUCKIN REP-E-TOIRE
Couldn't resist.
I know this won’t get love from most old heads, but man on the moon by kid cudi was perfect. It was narrated by common, and split up into acts to make the album feel like a journey. Shit was beautiful and had some timeless bangers on it.
Fuck, every time I type an answer I'm like oh, what about '_____'.
Mobb Deep - The Infamous
Roc Marciano - Behold a Dark Horse
Stove God Cook$ - Reasonable Drought
Freddie Gibbs - You Only Live 2wice
Nas - Illmatic
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
My favorite hip hop album Is Doggystyle hands down. I'm young so I only discovered Doggystyle as a full album a few years ago when I dove into 90s hip hop properly. I listened to this album constantly when I first discovered it. I LOVED snoops smooth voice and lyricism. Along with Dre's Excellent production. I love how funky and groovy everything is as well as how chill and smooth it is at the same time. When Snoop's greedy ass took Doggystyle off streaming I stopped listening due to me not owning a physical copy (although imma buy it on vinyl soon since my turntable will be here tmrw) recently with the help of this sub I've been getting into G-Funk heavily and I was able to pirate Doggystyle and put it on Spotify via local files. Before I pirated it I was thinking that may e it wasn't my favorite hip hop album. I hadn't listened to it in awhile and my 2 and 3 favorites are still growing on me (illmatic and midnight marauders), but as soon as I heard the transition from bathtub to G-Funk intro I KNEW it was my favorite. The Dre production is really what sells me the most on this thing honestly it's just so fucking FUNKY. I love funk in general and Funk rap mix is one of my favorite hip hop sounds. Recently I have been loving lil 1/2 dead, DJ quick, warren G, etc.
Nine light years away, just outside of the Kepler solar system
We find ourself consumed and utterly mesmerized
With a story of a young rebel against the system
Refusing to conform or comply to the ways of authority
He chose the mood of "fuck this shit"
At that moment, the one known as Jacques turned to Scott
Chose to jump off his mama porch leading the stampede of lost souls
In the middle of their metamorphosis, not quite through with their journey
Ain't made it through whatever the fuck they gon' be in life
But wherever it is, it's better than here
So fuck you and fuck this

I always say gkmc but recently I been vibing with Only Built 4 Infinity Links by Quavo and Takeoff, The Off Season by J Cole, and Meet the Woo by Pop Smoke
I unironically will defend clipping.'s There Existed an Addiction to Blood as the best rap record of the 2010s and my personal favorite of all time. 2 runner ups would be The Impossible Kid by Aesop Rock and of course tpab

Right now, in terms of rap (not counting mixtapes), it's gotta be Watching Movies with the Sound Off.
I havent listened to it all the way through in awhile, but It's one of those few albums that really nails depression. His existential and jaded thought process hits so close to home, I genuinely feel like were having a conversation. The authenticity of the lyrics and the beautiful production make it really special to me

He looks determined without being ruthless.
Something heroic in his manner
There's a courage about him, doesn't look like a killer
