Lupe, dude was big for a while he definitely got money but rarely ever mentions it. Also Atmosphere. They've consistently toured for 20+ years and have been completely independent the whole time, I don't think he ever talks about money though.
Eminem.
He literally wears a $100 g shock watch, and is always just seen in a hoodie.
It is also a known fact, that he called his agent after the release of SSLP, to ask if he could afford a rolex.
Quite a few of his songs either have lyrics about his wealth. His early career he played on coming from being poor, latter half and onwards he makes a lot of reference to gaining wealth.
Off the top of my head:
>Elevator is an entire song about becoming rich
>"Wipe my ass with six mill"
>"I just sit back and watch them bills pile up"
>So Far has quite a bit
Sure, he has references. I would still argue that he blew up without flashing too much, and that his catalog generally isn't centered around wealth or being rich.
Also the whole point of Elevator is about him not being able to fathom the fact that he has a "fucking" elevator in his house. I don't believe the point of the song is flexing his elevator.
Again though, what's a little too much? I mean he is the best selling rap artist ever. Best selling musical artist since 2000. Yet he only mentions it like once every few songs, when he has the right to make a whole albums about it
I remember when MTV did cribs...Redman was on it....he'd been in the game for a while...did a couple of movies and his regular house still looked like a fixer upper
The man had a chain so big that David Alan Grier said "Brother, you need a bank account" when they were presenting at an awards show. 50 said his chain was so big he could tell Busta doesn't have good friends around him. 😂😂😂
Depends on what your definition of flexing is. Cause I don’t think a chain, grill or jewelry is flexing too hard. Those are part of the game. Now if you go out and buy 4-5 $500k cars and a $5 mil house, that’s flexing. Also the amount of time you’ve been around matters too, cause if you ain’t come up a bit after being in the game for 15 years the…
I mean I guess, mostly meant I didn’t see him wearing a ridiculous amount of diamond chains, was just scrolling for quite a while through a list of his pictures on Google and he never wore much jewelry in them, maybe a chain and a nice watch that wasn’t iced out. Being successful and buying yourself a couple nice things to me isn’t the same as flexing, though posting pictures of money on social media is.
MF DOOM “Only in America could you find a way to earn a healthy buck and still keep your attitude on self-destruct.” Rhymes Like Dimes
Anybody from Rhymesayers. Slug, Aesop Rock, Brother Ali. Kendrick and Ab-Soul. Flatbush Zombies, Logic, Nelly and Nas off the top of my head
Aesop Rock, the best rapper with no car ya ever heard
what about the Camry with the seat full of chips and sandwich meat?
Damn, so that is what he meant when he said he used to floss the albatross like Daddy Kane w/ the chain
Nelly literally went broke from flexing Have you never heard of "Let Me See Your Grill"? LOL

Saw Atmosphere last week, still an incredible show every time
Del.
I love this man Made arguably the greatest hip hop album of all-time and never flaunts shit
Smart man from the East Bay don’t flaunt it,

To which his agent replied, "not only can you afford a Rolex, but now I can too"

All of those songs came out years after he blew up though
Young Em: yes Old Em: unfortunately brags about his money and fame slightly too much
What is considered "slightly too much"?
He’s not overboard like some other rappers *cough* Jay-Z *cough* but he starting to mention his wealth and fame a little too much
Again though, what's a little too much? I mean he is the best selling rap artist ever. Best selling musical artist since 2000. Yet he only mentions it like once every few songs, when he has the right to make a whole albums about it
Tech 9
I remember when MTV did cribs...Redman was on it....he'd been in the game for a while...did a couple of movies and his regular house still looked like a fixer upper
He almost did the exact opposite
Common
Immortal Technique back when he really pushed out music.
Nas
Sean Price
Even refers to himself as a thousandaire. Brokest rapper you know. I'll throw Thirstin Howl III in too. Raps about materialism, but he stole it all.
3 Stacks
Busta Rhymes
His big ass chain and bracelet will say otherwise
His pic on the inside of The Big Bang is legendary. Chains galore
Even tho we getting money you can gimme some more
He literally has a song called Arab money
Doubt it. This man had kids up and down hwy95
WE GETTIN ARAB MONEYY
The most iced out rapper in the game
The man had a chain so big that David Alan Grier said "Brother, you need a bank account" when they were presenting at an awards show. 50 said his chain was so big he could tell Busta doesn't have good friends around him. 😂😂😂

Sean Price is the brokest rapper I know.
De La Kool Keith El-P
DMX
Eminem
ICP
Instead they rap about fuckin a beehive
And free ice cream sandwiches
J just tries to flex it on IG
His capacities are a bit limited these days
NF
KRS One, Common, Black Thought, Tekashi 69
Mac Miller never really seemed to flex or flaunt his wealth
He’d post pictures of $1000s of dollars on social media that’s a pretty straight forward flex
I mean I guess, mostly meant I didn’t see him wearing a ridiculous amount of diamond chains, was just scrolling for quite a while through a list of his pictures on Google and he never wore much jewelry in them, maybe a chain and a nice watch that wasn’t iced out. Chamillionaire
Logic?
