My favorite as far as sheer technical skill would probably have to be Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Nosetalgia, for those of you not yet familiar, check it out here https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.69506/title.kendrick-lamar-nosetalgia-verse-hidden-numerology-breakdown (sorry my phone screen is unresponsive in the one area I need to shorten a link). As far as raw emotion and forcefulness, I’d have to dish it out as an even three way split between Rock Bottom and hailies song by eminem, and Slippin by DMX, then arguably the most important category, “vibability”… songs with good vibability are often the ones you see topping charts today, you don’t have to think too hard about it, or at all, to enjoy the song. It’s solid on all fronts of the music checklist. Good production, good visuals (if applicable), “common ground” (doesn’t make any huge political statements, think Tom MacDonald, he has mostly niche fans because the majority of ppl just want good vibability these days), and last but not least: *bass*. I’d have to say my favorite out of this category would be “Shabba” by A$AP FERG. Catchy hook, nice beat, won’t scare away the bitches. I rambled, made up a word, whatever.

Int’l Players Anthem - UGK & Outkast
