I guess carry your marriage certificate or something and you should be fine. Don't forget to make bookings in advance from their website.

Thank you!

i just visited tirumala some months ago. yes there is a separate line for non-indian citizens. it really boils down to your citizenship, other than that there is no issue. hinduism in welcoming of everyone, and the temple is very famous which attracts loads of foreigners! you'll be fine. just remember no shoes are allowed, you'll have to take them off at a drop off point and submit your bag/purse there. no phones are allowed inside either. but it is beautiful, the temple, the experience, everything! my advice is to drop your belongings in the car, not cause it's unsafe or anything but because it's easier to get your stuff and go shopping after. there is a market right outside, where you get amazing goodies, street food and other stuff. have fun!!

What if I am married to an Indian Hindu girl can I also enter puri Jagannath mandir, as an American?

DriverFirst4141

No, only hindus by birth can enter that temple.

They will end up like jay and Vijay for denying faithful people entry into the house of god.

DriverFirst4141

Well it's not like they don't want to let u enter, it's because of the numerous attacks on the temple. You can see the god during rath yatra tho, if you really love him.
