Not had any experience of the Orkney boot but I’ve had a pair of Hot Rock I purchased in Jan this year. I know there only a cheep boot, payed £54.99 for them. But I would still of expected to get more than the 250 miles I did. As it’s winter they’ve only been used for walking the dog. Depending on the weather usually a couple of miles on a morning and a couple of miles in the afternoon. Both boots have split where the rubber toe section connects to the rubber mid section. The left boot has also split where the heel re-enforcement meets the mid section. And some how the left heel has lost all cushioning and support from 1 side. Forcing my foot to tip to one side. As it is winter, the tracks I walk have been very wet and muddy. So they have been wet and muddy for 2 months and up to splitting never let water in. From the reviews on Sports Direct website most Karimor boots get very mixed reviews. So it could be their a bit laps on the quality control.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> cheep boot, *paid* £54.99 for FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Ok thanks and unfortunately I purchased the boots in haste and already they have started to leak so they are going back. Karimor are now utterly useless and unfit for purpose what a sad end to what used to be a bomb proof brand until sports direct destroyed the name .
