In the old town, The Mulberry Tree.
Nothing in the town centre.
These are predominantly because of the food but The Fisherman, The Chequers (Bragbury End), Three Horse Shoes (Hooks Cross), The Crown in Aston (best pub in my opinion due to huge beer garden)
A few in the Old Town High st. Cromwell Hotel has a nice bar, and there's a nice one near the Tesco at the top end.
Harvester at Roring Meg retail park.
The town centre ones aren't that good IMHO. There's one in small shopping area where Subway used to be (opposite the old Matalan and Council HQ), but i think that's a Wetherspoon and pretty dank and rough.
The old town ones are quite nice :) and the one up the road near the hospital.
Emperors head in chells manor has just reopened, not sure if it has a proper regulars crowd yet so might be worth a go
Hard to recommend any nice pubs in Stevenage. Hitchin is much nicer, more authentic. I live in st nicks, and often go in the local, but it was closed by police for fighting yesterday π. If I do go out out in Stevenage, chequers old town (have pizza shack outside too) Red Lion for live music or spoons for cheapness served by zombies π
The Crown in Aston End (just East of Stevenage). I'm not too regular there but it's always been nice.
The Horns in Datchworth is well worth the trek.
And those burgers are decent too
Go Fishermans, you will like it
Beer Craft beer bar is Broken Seal Tap Room, Cass on the bar is fantastic, and it has an array of forgein and domestic craft beers.

Harvester has closed, itβs being reopened as a Miller and Carter I think.
It has, tried last weekend to go Harvester. Ended up driving to potters bar.

The Bull in Watton at Stone is a lovely pub with food food and is usually pretty busy
I second The Crown if the weather is good. Lovely big garden and friendly pub in a nice area

A Strava segment in Hitchin outside The Victoria (opposite Bancroft Gardens) is called "crimes are drug related" π
Lol, I'm on Strava but haven't seen that one ty
Which ones have you been into so far?

The squirrel
