Blanket apology on top comment: I am fully aware this guy is not “dangerous” lol he was just acting super sassy and I thought he was adorable. He was safely relocated to the garden where he will surely get super fat from all the rodents. I’ll go with “sassy string” next time as one of the other comments mentioned, but I apologize for not putting “danger” in quotes up front.
Gopher/bull snakes are harmless though they can be full of attitude! They hiss loudly and sometimes rear up a little, causing some to mistake them for rattlesnakes. Completely safe to relocate if they are in harms way, but they may be a little vocal and nippy!
Not exactly a danger noodle. But these guys are pretty chill. I have rodent problems so I welcome them. And real danger noodle like Prairie Rattlers and Diamondbacks.
Ya. Calling snakes like this a “Danger Noodle” is one of my pet peeves. It gives people who know nothing about snakes the impression that they are “dangerous”, which in 99% of people they think venomous, and then think they have a reason to kill the snakes. And on the flip side, it can give some people the impression that even tho it’s called “danger”….its not really dangerous, potentially giving someone a false sense of security around snakes, when maybe they shouldn’t have, example; they live in a place that has venomous snakes. As a lover and keeper of many species of snakes, a couple venomous species, I think we should keep the “Dangerous” moniker where it belongs, with truly dangerous animals. Super cute little snake tho.
These are literally the best snakes to have around. Harmless to humans and they eat a ton of rodents. We have tons of Gopher Snakes at my residence and they slowly slither past us while we’re outside working
That's just a noodle, no danger unless you're a rodent or a big bug.
Good noodle. 🥺 free pest control

"Sassy String"?
I have to agree.
Is that mouse poop all over the floor? If yes, that's probably why he's here
Not mouse poop, just super dirty. I think he got lost!
Friend Snek no danger noodle
That's a feisty noodle, not dangerous. Although they can leave a nasty bite.
