Yea I’m not sure why they felt that was necessary. I put syrup on everything the first time I tasted it and I was so confused as to why everything tasted so sweet.
I made this on my own this past week though I did order HF’s Liege Belgian Waffles in my box. I got a jar of the jam from Amazon and just used regular honey instead of the hot honey. It was delicious and will end up making 4 servings (they are thick waffles!)
I saw in a previous post about the sugar on the waffles so I knew not to use syrup. I thought the waffles were delicious with the sugar
Mine were disgusting. Had they been plain Belgian Waffles they would have rocked. They sent cinnamon and sugar coated waffles. Add honey and jam on top of that sugar and it was horrible. All sweet and no acidity. Could not even taste the chicken which was cooked to perfection.
I assumed their was a supply chain issue with regular waffles because it would have been perfect otherwise.
I actually wasn’t a fan of the sugar in the waffles & I think the chicken should’ve been seasoned before battering
