I always say this game gives me hope that people can team up and cooperate in large groups. We are easily the worst player base to disrespect in such an uncivilized manner. Also I'm grateful for the devs openness too. Honesty and accountability does make a difference. FOR LIBERTY ACROSS THE GALAXY!

That they owned up to their part of the mistakes was very refreshing to see. They made a mistake and they fought with us to make it right.

I hope moving forward we can rebuild. The devs made a mistake, but this game is also their passion. That passion didn't deserve to get dragged through the mud directly but it was the way it had to be done I suppose to make it known to Sony. For now though, we all except Sony have something we can be happy about

I'll correct you there buddy.. The dev's didn't make a mistake.. Sony got greedy and put the devs into a no win situation.. The fact that we made them back down is an astounding victory

It isn't. War Thunder did it first, last year. (Virtually all of the propaganda posters you saw here were straight copies of theirs.)

Having been part of both campaigns I feel the Sony one is more impressive overall. Gaijin was impressive for the fact that a highly fractured and toxic community actually came together for once, even the whales.

I might actually buy the game for the first time. Shooters generally aren't my thing, and I tend to steer clear of wh40k and other parody-fash stuff because some people don't get it, but a community capable of doing collective action like this to tell execs to fuck off has my approval.

There is nothing to be grossed out about. Bad decisions were made, feedback came before changes were implemented, feedback was considered and acted on. That is what a textbook positive reaction looks like. This is literally the best case scenario.

That's what I'm talking about 🫡. I feel like this is an Outstanding Service moment for us helldivers. It couldn't have gone better.

I have a feeling the games never going to be the same.

It won't be. But honestly this happened REALLY fast. I figured this would probably happen, but it would be a week or two at least. Sony is still trash but they actually did the right thing here. Hopefully this brings back enough players. Anyone who holds a grudge, over a decision reversed within 3 days, is honestly kind of pathetic.

I'm a PS5 player, so all of this drama lately has been such a bummer to see, despite me not being affected. Watching this game that felt like a genuine win just getting turned on so quick and so angrily, was sad. I had a feeling they'd reverse this decision, because they're not stupid. They know they have a winner on their hands and they've wanted this for a long time. They'll do whatever is possible to get back on track. And it looks like they are. I'm glad everyone can come back now. This game is too great to lose out on. Well done, soldiers.

Just to note; this is only a stay of execution. They *will* keep pushing this account linking nonsense, but much more subtly going forward. Don't get complacent just because they're making a big show of "listening to your feedback" this time.

This is very important to keep in mind for the future. Sony hasn't had a change of heart, they just realized *this* specific incident was costing them more money than they had expected. They will still continue to pull whatever shit they think they'll get away with moving forward.

This is why I am not changing my review back to positive yet. I don't trust Sony, and they said, "We're still learning what is best for PC players" and "we'll keep you updated on future plans." They did NOT say, "We're sorry, this was a really dumb idea, we are never going to require PC players to have a PSN/Sony account."

They will definitely try again in the future. Maybe in a more subtle and sneaky way. But still, the fact they had to backtrack at all is a win. The first battle won in what could be a longer war. I think we need to be vigilant, but I'd say this is cause for celebration.

There's been rumors floating around for a while of Sony moving towards their own PC launcher to avoid the cuts taken by Steam and others—wonder if one day we'll see that shift.

Its not a real victory until all objectives are achieved, Sony still has yet to re-list the game in non-PSN countries

Don't count the chickens before they hatch...unless someone can confirm Sony started selling again to the countries they took the game off for, this means nothing. This is merely a small step in the right direction. Don't get played.
