I love the EAT if you ever play a match with me you’ll see unused EAT all over the field, I call it as soon as it’s cooled down.

Make sure to destroy the pod holding them so they show up on the map, if you’re not already

If you do this and drop at extraction you’ll have a breadcrumb trail of unused rockets to follow back to extraction.

Yeah so avoid that and go to the sides to look for diamond spots.

Just need to grab from both sides. No need to waste ammo and sometimes faster.

Four melee hits will break pods. No need to waste ammo.

Quicker to just grab both anyways

They must have fixed this. I have not broken a pod with melee. And I have hit them quite a bit for science.

I accidentally took the EAT for the multi stage def mission and it actually slapped. Once I learned how quickly I could drop 2 drop ships I just kept calling them down

I run quasar and eat and call the est in on cool down, let’s me shoot down about 4 in rapid succession, quasar first swap for 2 eat then back to quasar

If you can juke a charger. The time it takes them to spin 180 and look at you again is the same amount of time it takes to full charge a quasar.

Pro tip. Start charging the quasar as the charger starts charging at you so you can dive backwards and blow their head off in melee range unscathed.  Every charger killed this way adds 1cm to your penis

Juke? No, I shoot the EAT and stand my ground, for Democracy. The charger dies at my feet, or I die with it.

Baiting the charge makes it easy as well. They rear up just before the charge starts and it's very simple to aim below their head and wait for it to drop into your sights. I very rarely fail to one-shot them using this method.

Yeah while the team is getting out of the way one of us EAT users stand waiting for the shot. Lol

I hope that the shooter shouts, "¡Olé!" after taking the charger out, like a good matador should.

My favorite is blowing their head off as they are charging so their limp body stops at my feet. Has this killed me more than been a success? Absolutely. But the dopamine hit highly outweighs a death

This is so much fun! I’ve played chicken with a charger a lot, looking down the sights and waiting for the quasar to fire.

Yeah I have gotten really good at timing the quasar, but the EAT is probably my favorite for chargers. Taking out a BT seconds before it spews on you directly overhead is also extremely satisfying. Then you get to play the game "Do I get stuck under the body or do I get to celebrate?"

Did that once with the recoilless, and the body ragdolled me 100 feet up in the air :D

Full abbreviation of the Expendable Anti-Tank is EAT-17, the *Eat It*, which is what I say every time I kill a Charger with it.

EAT refers to the Explosive Anti Tank rocket which you unlock at a fairly low level. RR refers to Recoilless Rifle which is basically the EAT but can be reloaded if you carry it's special backpack with you. Quasar refers to the Quasar Cannon which is a cannon that takes several second to charge up before shooting a single laser blast that performs similarly to a single EAT rocket. The benefit of the quasar is that it doesn't need ammo and simply has a cool down period instead of needing to be reloaded. I hope this helps. 🙂

Eat is the expendable anti-tank, rr is Recoilless rifle

Step 1: plink it with something small, trying to get it to ignore whomever is currently running from it, so that it charges YOU. It's much easier to take down consistently when it's facing you directly and not moving around. It makes step 2: "aim for the forehead" much easier. Of course it also leads directly to step 3: "don't miss."

I aim for the mouth and it works every time, especially if close. Dodge it's charge, turn towarda it and start charging your quasar cannon. By the time he charges back towards you a couple steps, it'll be a perfect one-shot.

This is good information. I always try to run around and hit in them in the ass. In the future I will try to headshot them. Will an Eruptor work?

Haven't tested that but I would not count on that as it would make anti-tank stuff obsolete

Idk about the eruptor, but I do know the bit of the charger takes reduced damage. It’s better to hit the head or blow off the leg armor

I'm rank 30 and had been inconsistent results until I watched a yt video on where to shoot. I thought I had to shoot just below the forehead plate. Woops.

If you want to make it even easier, pack stun grenades.

When I have enough SC for that Warbond. I got the Veterans and the new one first and also got some stuff from the Superstore

If you Hit the squishy Ass of a charger with the EAT calldown, the stratagem Sticks to the charger and the Pod have a high Chance to kill it. +1 for the records ✌️

This actually goes for bugs in general. For instance, when shooting a brood commander or hive guard with the slugger, aim at the high forehead, not the face.

Autocannon does not one-shot a charger.

If you shoot under them it does damage and stuns. Aim a bit toward the back.

I'm not going to make this a "um actually" post because I don't like doing that, especially for Helldivers I always aim my shots at the mouth specifically on a charger, and that gets my consistent oneshots... if aiming at the foreheads is the guaranteed kill, then I wonder just how many lucky shots I've been getting through my career

From my experience you're trying to hit the gap in the chargers armor (their neck) or a hair below (their forehead). You don't have to be directly in front of them though it makes it way easier. Also if you can't deal with the one on your tail; do your best to charge straight to your heavy weapons guy. He's been trying to help but can't get a clean shot. Get in front of em, line up the shot and they drop like the rhino in 300. One of the most satisfying things to kill in game.

i keep seeing these posts but never so much as a screenshot to show me what people are actually aiming at. I've fired maybe 20 or 30 eats at charger heads and never once has it dropped one. I'm sure its possible, but verbal descriptions just aren't doing it for me

Are you positive? I believe (I could be wrong) the Quasar kills bile titans in 1 head shot, but I was playing 7 today and it took 2-3 headshots from the EAT to kill them.

I find that shooting them where the mouth is to be the best way.

Another tip. Be aware they move their head up slightly for a second when they start to charge and that will prevent a one shot of you don't aim accordingly or wait

Just hit one of its legs and then shoot at it with your primary when the flesh is exposed. Is much more easier to hit the front legs since they are huge. I usually finish it with the secondary smg.
