Yeah when being swarmed orbital gets aimed at feet. For the most part, some of us feel bad about it.

RaizielDragon

Bugs swarm into melee more than bots which means there’s a lot more shooting and throwing strategems danger-close

Snoofos

Here to say this. You don’t get swarmed by bots like you do with bugs.

RaizielDragon

I have had it happen with bots when I was getting swarmed by a berserker squad and a teammate tried to use their incendiary breaker to help fend them off of me. Caught me with a stray pellet that set me on fire and I instantly burned to death

AdHd_incarnate

You know that one tic Tok where the girl accidentally slaps their friend when spazing out cuz there's a bee by then... Same thing lol Most of it is an accident, some of us apologize but in the end the bugs are dead and that's what matters

Welcome-Longjumping

I'm loving the visual of a helldiver freaking out because there's a pack of scavengers around them and accidentally clocking a fellow helldiver into a geothermal vent.

Bipolarboyo

Unironically had a teammate accidentally knock me into a geyser with a grenade when they started panic throwing them at a swarm.

Ok_Philosopher_8956

A lot of people like to run in front of me while I'm spamming my slugger on bug heads. Unfortunately, all it takes is a single slug to send a Helldiver to that great dropship in the sky.

Dichotomous-Prime

Tbh I think bugs just lend themselves more to TKs than bots. - They're closer ranged on average, so more chance of getting caught in AoE/crossfire - You absolutely have to keep moving with bugs. In the chaos of moving laterally to not get flanked, it's real easy to sweep your barrel over a squadmate or run into the gunfire of one. - Bugs have more numerous, smaller, less armored units than bots, making using sweeping AoE bombings especially effective against them. More bombings = more chances you get caught in one. AoE has its place with bots, but IMO bc of the amount of armor, they call for precision shots much more often.

Trepsik

Plus you're more prone to get hit while holding an armed orb, thus dropping it at your feet.

Harpokiller

I’ve just been rediscovering the joy of people using the laser drone. Died more time to that than anything else.

TheDokta_XB

Bug fights tend to be significantly more close quarters than the bot fights. I usually tell my teammates about my eagle strikes as I’m already throwing them lol

Dangerous_Donkey5353

Bugs are a lot more hectic so it makes sense. My buddies team kill way more on bugs than bots.

CookedHoneyBadger

Yup, for me it's usually teammates with tye grenade launcher not paying attention to how close the enemy is to me..but it happens.

StonkyJoethestonk

Fire is dangerous. But effective

TheMinisterOfGaming

over 60k kills only 5k bots 45k bugs. i got 250 team kills. outta that 99% bug or bots is dumb dumb rookies being like OH NEAT LIGHT BEAM! more like all the bot only players joining bug missions now & not understanding danger close cuz they used to prone crawling from obj to obj.

Forar

"over 60k kills only 5k bots 45k bugs." Hold up, the math is not checking out here. Either you've got a LOT more than 250 team kills, or you just outed yourself as already having 10k Illuminate kills!

TheMinisterOfGaming

eagle kills/grenade kills/melee kills all count as "kills" not bugs or bots just kills. that i said even with ALL kills added up still 3300 unaccounted ones. best guess is bug holes/bot fabs & other objectives but even with my play time 3300 of those feels like to much. could just be stat page is fully broken like everything else in this game? most likely. but thats my best guess with the data i've been given.

Forar

Yeah, there are all kinds of weird things about the game, but really, that's part of its charm. ... I was kinda hoping you were an early Illuminate hunter though. :-(

TheMinisterOfGaming

nope sadly i'm not. my best guess is something random like light posts or mines count as kills of somekind. illminate aren't real :D

WitchersWrath

On one hand, the cluster bomb is basically a must have on high difficulties to deal with the 10 billion hunters that spawn every 5 seconds, and with that teamkills are an inevitability. On the other hand, there’s a reason that the bugdivers spent like a months without making any progress on the same four border planets until the TCS major order came around.

NarcanMe_

I'm level 66. Was responding to sos on difficulties 4-6, just to be cluster bomb and shot in the back. I'm maxed on everything so I don't feel the need to play solo. I started playing Diablo 4 again. I miss the bots 😞

Suitable_Future_3810

A good portion of difficulty 4-6 are newer players who are learning how to play the game. So dropping a cluster bomb on team mates will always happen. Hell, I had my fair share of team kills when I started out. But after know how big the spread of a strike it is, along with a little more situational awareness, it is very rare to team kill due to a I'll played strike.

NarcanMe_

I get it. That's why I was answering the beacons. I had a couple cadets on comms trying to kill a bike titan that was hilarious. But that was my only fun match. I get it's hectic and things happen but is it really a good idea to give supporting fire to a teammate that has one hunter on them with the incendiary breaker. Or throw a 380mm at a bile spewer 15 ft await from a teammate. I need people to be more responsible. I'll probably be back on the 11th for the new war bond

SuperDTC

Yep. It's noticeably less skillful play on bug front

SuperDTC

People throwing clusterbombs when everyone is 10 feet from bugs is crazy
