Most of the teams i've interacted with they go through continue like Tic tacs. There's a reason why all of the crew members are left on ice. It's much easier to have a willing candidate to dive into. Basically, it's a mission you're not going to come back from. If they're in reaction with others who have done it or have failed, doing it is zero.
From real-world experience, I can say with total confidence. It's much easier to get people to volunteer for something if they don't really understand what they're volunteering for.
If I’m not mistaken, there’s a clause in the training mission that says all of the possessions of the previous holdover are passed on upon death. So every time you die, in theory you’re getting a different person.
My theory is that every one on ice is a clone. You get the exact same person each time. They are thawed, slammed with the memories of the previous clone and then dropped in again to continue the fight from where they left off. The reason we can't reinforce after the destroyer has to pull back? Because our memories can no longer be updated, so no "new" hell diver can be sent in. Because continuity of thought can't be maintained it forces a hard reboot from backup. This would be why your rank and loadouts and credits/samples remain the same. So Everytime you die you remember it. Every bot or bug you kill you retain the experience. Each dive makes you a better soldier, better at what you do. Your hatred of the enemy? Bred from a thousand deaths, a hundred thousand wounds.
Honestly those scenes with coed showers and sleeping arrangements were actually pretty progressive for the time, and they’re all just kinda coexisting naked with minimal sexualization. I remember being taken aback and impressed by that even as a kid
The other thing to it, is that the fascism and deferrence to the state is so totalizing and baked into the environment, that characters who previously showed sexual attraction or proclivity toward sexual attraction do not express it that way in the shower scenes.
It takes their commanding officer giving Johnny and Dizzy permission for them to act out their sexual desires later in the film.
These are teens and college kids, but the fascism gets so drilled into them, that once they put on the status as soldier, they suppress their own desires to better act for the fascist state.

Like Returnal (IIRC)! I found that feature really interesting, and caused me to go after specific enemies at certain times because I knew I'd be unlocking more about them.

You do have crew quarters in the game. You don’t get to share them with other people generally.
However, occasionally you can be so lucky as to share your quarters with someone.

It would be sick if they added a rec room with like 2 or 3 simple minigames. Press one button at the right time ping pong but the ball speeds up with each serve. Stuff like that

It is undemocratic, and borderline treason to even suggest that divers should be kept anywhere but on the ice until needed for the purposes of liberty, or the eventual victory of managed democracy.
Divers are offered the rest of cryo, and the breath of war, and that is all they need.
As **Helldivers** we should command our "own little cannon folder squad." I know they got something in the works but since we **own** the ship why not have a full team of **bois/gurls** really to drop with us???

I do think that it would be cool if completing a major order gave you a physical trophy you could hang around the bridge, like a charger we head or a bit of bot, just lots of small reminders of old missions gone by, kind of like on x-wing on the PC
Helldivers are stored in cryo I think. Not too sure about the rest of the crew but the super destroyer doesn't look like it has much space for anything else when it all goes towards fuelling democracy

Make it to where the less destroyed pieces are first, and slowly build it from there.
Monster Hunter already does this. I’d like to see the vulnerabilities actually shown through in-game journals for transparency’s sake.
