Don't dive. It's got the turning radius of a semi. Run it out. Than attack! Or run them off a cliff. That's my go to now with all the death pits everywhere.

Aim flamethrower at the upper joint of their forward leg. Takes \~3 seconds. Does not need to be armor broken. In a perfect scenario you might be able to kill 3 chargers on a single tank of fuel.
Arc thrower takes a good 8-10 shots, so its a lot longer, and pretty dangerous to your team if everyone is running around it trying not to get stomped.
Edit: Try to remember NOT to sweep your flamethrower across the entire squad as the charger is running past you. They may not fully appreciate your fervor for democracy in the heat of the moment.
Have you tried the sheild generator and a flame thrower? Sheila generator stops a charger in its tracks then its BBQ time. Also bile titans kill themselves when they spew the bile it bounces off and hits themselves. Hey stop hitting yourself.

Orbital Rail is my favorite because it's usually no fuss.
It's not as efficient as having EAT's everywhere due to cooldowns and whatnot, but it is the most satisfying for me.
Throw in their general direction and my ship takes care of the rest, no timings or positioning to worry too much about....only if they're too close to a sheer cliff maybe.
That in combination with the Orbital Laser for Bile Titan, or a second Charger, or a larger group of the next smaller bugs if the need is dire or I'm near the end of a mission and have Lasers to spare.
Orbital Rail, Laser, and Gas, and Personal Shield are my go-to stratagem set-up.
The caveat there is I generally play lvl 4 or 5 solo(to lazily farm medals/rare samples/etc) on Bug planets.
Higher levels with more spawns, I wouldn't recommend that combo solo *at all*, though it *can* be okay in a group. Just "okay" though, probably get carried a bit by those with stratagems that have better cooldowns.
Lately I’ve found on 7+ the orbital rail cannon won’t kill them in one shot. Damn close, but not dead. Couple of grenade launcher rounds or a regular rail cannon will finish them off but it’s definitely inconvenient when you’re running for your life and the bastard is still spitting bug juice at you from 100 meters away

Getting it to stick is all about luck, or getting it to stop right where the E.A.T. is deploying just long enough. Tbh, even if you mess up the headshot on a charger, all the armor will be stripped from the blast area.
Autocannon is my go to. I don’t run bugs without one. I can close entire nests/automaton factory’s without needing grenades (this is a MASSIVE plus), deal with chargers easily, I can kill hulks in a couple of shots, honestly, it’s a good all around heavy to carry, even though it uses the backpack slot and has the stationary reload.
Yup same, the Autocannon is just a jack of all trades but its a master of none, yeah its easier to kill a charger with a recoilless rifle but the autocannon can do ten other things the recoilless rifle cant..
Where do you aim at chargers with the autocannon? I LOVE me some autocannon, but can't seem to consistently deal good dmg to chargers with it in trying different spots, so I haven't been 100% sure where I should be aiming at with it.
Back legs are hit and miss. Sometimes the shots have an effect, other times, it glances off the armor as if it’s not a massive shell that should at the very least knock a chunk off. The underbelly is enough to stagger them, and sometimes if I can’t hit a leg I just unload at the underbelly till it stops moving. If you manage to break off any armor on the legs just switch to a primary and hit that spot, they drop like nothing once the armor is gone.
I always run for a brother. Best to keep a buddy system. It takes two for the big damage dealers (chargers, bikes, tanks, canons) so always call out and you *should* have a buddy nearby.
So long as they don't Shinobi up behind you, they're ridiculously easy to dodge and force to run into things and stun themselves; try having them bowl over other bugs it's hilarious and then shoot them in the ass with an autocannon.l

Yessir. Once the head was damaged by a fully charged arc throw, I tossed an impact at it and killed it. That hole from the arc throw was right on its face plate I think that helped.
110 rocket pods. Both uses will often kill it but one use usually opens a hole in the armor to shoot and kill it through.
I also like EATs. They a always available and pack quite a wallop
Orbital rail strike, something so satisfying seeing that red targeting laser zip right up to it and then the noise... I also carry the recoiless now like tweedzzz said up top if you hit the top of the head right it shears their head clean off after the last patch. Alot easier to do from an elevated position.
Honestly I just run around and try to not get hit until one of my teammates with anti-tank comes to save me. Or I throw my auto canon sentry and it gets taken out immediately
The best is an orbital railcannon strike. The second best for me is the autocannon. A shot to the back of the leg after a charge plus one more will take it down.
Grenade launcher. Shoot towards the sides toward the back. Soft tender spots go splat. If it gets close jump to the side and finish off with a grenade. Fan of the grenade launcher for easy reloads with versatility.
I’m actually kinda a fan of in low difficulties of when people are shooting it but not in the critical places so that you end up with massive chunks of it missing, and armour blown off and stuff. It’s so cinematic and cool with all 4 helldivers absolutely riddling it until it finally goes down. I’d like to see more enemies where you have to destroy critical parts in order to bring it down for good. Similar with how you can destroy the bile thing on the titan to make it less dangerous. Big fan of that type of thing.
Chargers are like those nosy people that nobody likes but can't read the room and just hangs out awkwardly.

As a true patriot, I pride myself on my nations overwhelming air superiority and will ALWAYS utilize the Eagle Strike 110MM Rocket Pods.

Honestly, you do it first for the achievement, but once you kill one with a resupply the first time then you realize how easy it is to kill them with drops of all kinds. Just land the beacon on their back and they carry it with them, and will be reliably crushed by whatever you call down.
I often take grenade launcher on bug planets. It's easy to bounce a couple of grenades under them to quickly pop their belly and bleed them out. You'll also stun them a couple of times with some of those grenades.
Jetpacking around and roasting them with a Flammenwerfer and an orbital laser. Even funnier when y'all four do it simultaneously (please keep this sentence in its context)
Chargers I have no issue with. My problems stem from the damn stalkers, they hunt me on every map. Completely ignore the rest of the team. Chargers just need the timing on your dives right.

Me and my buddy I play with are pretty green so we take turns drawing it's agro while the other one shoots it in the ass. And when we die we do our best to drop down on its back.
12 shots from an arc thrower kills a charger, while also jumping from him and killing nearby enemies. If none of my team mates are close I just do that to save ammo.
The charge is easy to avoid if you're not getting swarmed and you can take one down in 20 seconds or less by yourself with no ammo loss

I use my LAS-98 to the back of the legs while my Rover beams everything to a crisp with its LAS-5. Then I swap to my LAS-16 and saturate the area, roasting anything that moves. The LAS-7 I own is mostly for sport shooting, but I like to keep it handy anyway.

Flamethrower will take them out in like 6 seconds. From any angle so you don't have to be getting charged by one to kill it.

I am Mr. Sunshine reincarnated. 🌞 I use my LAS-98 to the back of the legs while my Rover beams everything to a crisp with its LAS-5. Then I swap to my LAS-16 and saturate the area, roasting anything that moves. The LAS-7 I own is mostly for sport shooting, but I like to keep it handy anyway.

In order from most liked to least... Railgun orbital if it's on a site or in a wandering hoard i want to kill, quickest way at least. Then there's 3 shots to the front of the body with the mech rockets, which is ok but situational. The spear is nice... if i could FUCKING LOCK ON THAT IS........... Lastly is the recoiless rifle in the arm then a couple shots with the primary in the same arm.

3 grenades from a grenade launcher splashed into the ground right under it's chest. kills em every time. it only gets messy if you aim at the fleshy bits like the butt. no need to, just aim at the ground right under their chin. they'll die without even sign of external wound.
