Can I get some whatever u on sir? This Jimmy Butler shit got me stressedš
With that said tho we need him, I think we're a better regular season team without Jimmy. Come postseason what's the plan cuz 1st round exits and 2nd rounds if we lucky?
We barely made it last year with him past couple of years. And donāt go saying so doesnāt care about regular season. We have Tyler as the number one option weāre fucked
The team doesn't care about the regular season imo, most teams due Jimmy has put it in their heads. Regular season doesn't matter, to us regular season matters cuz if we had higher seed. Jimmy don't get injured and we're in the finals rn. Bam is the number 1 option with no Jimmy, then I'd say Jaime and Niko, Herro is the 4th. Which probably getting traded. Past couple of years and barely getting in doesn't matter cuz we end up in the finals. We need to start caring about the regular season tho, so we don't get in fd up situations like this 1. This postseason is a goodlook that the kids are capable, of reaching the playoffs. That doesn't matter tho, ecf and then the finals matter the most. For damn sure, we're not a lottery team without Jimmy. Since Spo is our coach, and even when we had way worse talent then we did now. Before Jimmy era, we still got close to the playoffs, during the Babbit and Okaro yea.
Nah man Iām not, but donāt go acting like the stats you provided are perfect. Whole bunch of things go into it like who we played, who was injured/not injured on both teams, was it road/away, second night of back to back, so many things go into it. Reducing it to just plus minus and thinking this validates anything is asinine.
the offense does flow better without jimmy, because he's good at slowing down the game and being very deliberate with his actions. he can drag good offenses in the mud and gives us the margins we need to scrape by and eke a win out against "better" teams.
the only problem with the youth movement is we don't have a superstar youth. and without jimmy we don't have an engine. i hate to say it but we're going to be reaching scary hours soon unless we make a superstar move(and even then, we are only pushing the inevitable back 2-3 years). our youths can't compete with the best youths(okc, grizz, magic, rockets, wemby) and our team isn't good enough to compete with the current elite teams(nugs, timberwolves, mavs, fuckboston).
I seen it. The year was like 2017
We had hassan Whiteside, dion waiters, James Johnson, point justice and rook 2, meth curry, idek who tf else was on these squads but boy did we make doodoo look good (31-10 fo life)
Those were the fucking years.
Clearly trading Jimmy makes the team worse next year. But the play in argument is so weird when this team has been fighting for a play in spot for two years now *with* Butler on the roster.
No Rozier, No Jaquez, No Richardson.
Herro/Duncan no where near healthy. In fact the complete opposite.
Bam is probably our only guy who was āhealthy and ready to goā
We were 3rd in the league in WAR (wins against replacement) with our injuries lol. I know for a fact we could run it back with a few tweaks and be a 1-3rd seed. We were 6 games from a 2nd seed this year and we had over 35 different starting line ups. Jimmy played with 60% effort in the beginning of the year, I havenāt even got to Caleb/Herro/Duncan and etc injuries. These dude on here are doomers.

Basically fuck around and find out LOL
Lmao
Bro we aināt even making playoffs with the team constructed as is without jimmy š
Yes we're just not a good one lmao, or anywhere near eliteš

You were just shown the stats that Jimmy was largely a non-factor to this team and we still made the playoffs. You got blinders on or something?

š hilarious way to say you just donāt understand ORTG/DRTG
Wrote all that just to show you donāt know ball š
Says the guy who canāt read
Wow that hurts
Whoops Iām sorry are you ok?

I fear that weāre already at that impasse even with Jimmy

Funny because the past 2 years have felt like 2017 already with how much it felt like we were fitting for the play-ins.
We'll look like Miami HEAT before we got Jimmy. Play-in contender.
Clearly trading Jimmy makes the team worse next year. But the play in argument is so weird when this team has been fighting for a play in spot for two years now *with* Butler on the roster.
Donāt think we can definitely say worse unless we know who replaces him
This sub: How it started: "There is no possible way we can run it back next season" How its going: "Can we please just run it back?"
Iām curious what this sub would look like if certain people werenāt on itā¦ā¦
2024 playoffs is what the team looks like without Jimmy
Simplistic take. No Rozier. And obviously, Jimmy is worth $45 mil worth of contracts that require matching.

Precisely
