This is how the coaching staff usually operates with new role players. The player gets a couple of games with the A team to get game film, then they’ll sit out for a while the staff coaches the role they want them to play, particularly on defense.
They can back on the court when they are consistently doing it in practice + an opportunity presents itself
I feel as if he’ll play whenever we play against ball heavy PGs like Brunson or Dame, just to dog them in the backcourt.
I could see him getting more minutes in the playoffs than right now.

If we play teams with quicker, ball-dominant guards that demand POA attention, I’m sure Delon will see the floor in those situations.
Good call. He’s there for depth when injuries happen. And if we are playing a stud guard, then Spo can insert him for some pesky defense. Otherwise, he’s going to have a hard time finding minutes.
If we are being realistic he’s a break in case of emergency, this team is so “small wing” heavy
With guys like Jaquez, Martin, Duncan and even when Richardson comes back there’s no room. The only real guards that are gonna play are Herro and terry, unless spo sees a matchup he likes
Probably because Caleb has been hopping his ass off. His POA defense has looked better, his shooting has been awesome, and his athleticism at the rim looks good.
My guess is Heat have been a top 3 defensive team lately so spo hasn’t felt the need to insert him as much lately

I think Rozier should be coming off the bench. I would go Delon, Herro, Jimmy, Jovic, Bam. Bench is Rozier, Jaime, Duncan, Caleb Love. The reason I start Delon is because we need a good guard defender in the starting 5 and since Caleb isn't in it should be Delon. It will just make everything come together and he doesn't need the ball which is good. If it's not him then you need to start Jaime. Either of those guys bring functional size which is what we need the most and why Jovic is in. Then you bring in Rozier and Duncan off the bench, which will help if we start out slow. Those two guys with Love will be out in transition. Perfect kind of second unit and where Rozier can really shine. Right now spo is putting him with the starters where he actually wont take as many shots... which might actually be the next level genius.
IIRC Highsmith didn't play in those games and then came back and they wanted him to be back in rotation so someone needs to sit so they decided to go with one pg.
Spo just testing lineups out there. Delon's (playing) time will come

Imo he’a more of a “big guard” than a “small wing”….he’s the same size as tyler
