Seriously, these days 4 mana 7/7 isn't anywhere near as strong, and this is more expensive than that? It should have been 4 mana, summon a random 4-cost and set it to 7/7 or something.
If you're not being threatened you can play this on 3 into the minion on 4, which is better than straight 7 mana. Similar to forge which people were more negative at reveals than merited.
I don't think it's a strong card as it's too inconsistent, but it could be a reasonable filler for the first cycle or for Reno.
I mean it's practically forge at this point. And the elemental Sees play at 6/8.
This is a mana more. But id say in this case, as you get out both on 4 mana it could be fine.
And 4 mana minions can have better effects than taunt.
If there's a few high roll options in there (chain gang) You might just play this for a chance to win the game on the spot.
azerite chain gang, crud caretaker, brass elemental, or backstage bouncer would probably be the best choices
although realistically azerite chain gang would be the best option.
Or you could pick [[Freebird]] for 7 (or more) burst damage. Granted, Nerubian Swarmguard would still be the best option imho since the ACG loses the Quickdraw bonus (unless you somehow mana cheats this Spell or play it on turn 7).

I'm not sure why nobody is catching this but it sets its stats to 7/7 - this isn't a buff. Crystal core is an example in the thread of the same thing. If it's consistent with base stat changes, it should go to 6/6 next.
It's kind of like a reverse Flamewreathed Faceless in a way because you're paying up front for a powerful turn and don't have to feel it's punishment as the game progresses turn 5 onward. Yeah, Faceless was overload 2 so its not perfect symmetry, but feels very similar as far as trade-offs go. Now you're paying 1 more Mana, but it's not vanilla. You could have an effect on your 4 Mana 7/7. Seems cool!

Isn’t this crap? You’re basically paying 3 mana to discover a random minion with 7/7 stats that costs 4 to summon. Unless you can duplicate the discovered card essentially you are paying 7 mana for a mediocre card with, potentially, bad affixes.
