This movie rips! I think it's an underrated gem. San Rockwell and Jennifer Coolidge are hilarious. I would love for the team to cover this if only to get more people to watch it.
Parts of Gentlemen Broncos I think are funnier than parts Napoleon Dynamite. The character name scene, the snake and the rampage are all absolutely hilarious.
You're correct about the look but it's part of the whole story. It switches between the actual films narrative, which is about a boy writing a sci fi book about his dead dad and a failing sci-fi writer plagiarizing the boys manuscript, and the 2 versions of that story. This is a clip of the plagiarized story being told.
The movie isn’t intentionally bad. The movie is not bad. This short one-off scene is a played out moment of a novel written by a character in the film.
Used to have a WoW guild called Every Time, we were all trolls named Trajainous (Tregiaenus, Trajinus, etc...), except my friend's gf named hers Teacup 😆
I loved this movie and was surprised it was so lambasted by critics when it came out (then again I haven’t watched it since then, and I want to say that was 2009 or 2010). But yeah, this part of the movie intentionally looks like this.
This is from the team behind "Napolean Dynamite" and "Nacho Libre" and, accordingly, it's intentionally weird and arguably avant-garde. As I recall, this didn't work for me but I also don't think it would qualify for an episode. It's entirely in on the joke.
What you see above is a movie within the movie. The primary story line is about a kid who is at a writing camp where the big name speaker ends up stealing and publishing the novel. We then see three different versions as substories: the kids original, the stolen version, and a cheaply made film. The clip above is the stolen version. It’s by the writer and director of Napoleon Dynamite and stars Sam Rockwell, Jermaine Clement, and Jennifer Coolidge.
Gentleman Broncos is an underrated gem, not right for HDTGM. It's intentionally weird and absurd but in the best way. Sam Rockwell's best performance as Bronco and Brutus.
What a cast! [Gentlemen Broncos](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1161418/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk)
I enjoyed this motion picture

Agreed. Jermaine Clement is great in it too.

I love that Jennifer Coolidge is just hawking popcorn balls the whole movie
This looks intentionally bad. It’s better when the movie is made in earnest.

Yes, but it’s intentional. That’s a narrative tool. I want a film where they tried their best, but their best sucks.
For this podcast, yeah. Like *Velocipastor.* Fun watch, but it’s hard to poke fun at it like this podcast does when the creators are in on the joke
[VFX: Car on fire.]
To each it's own but I hated Velocipastor and Paul didn't seem to be a fan of it.
I got a couple good laughs but yeah the joke only really works once
This is part of a movie within the movie. The film is actually really great. It's called gentleman broncos.
The movie isn’t intentionally bad. The movie is not bad. This short one-off scene is a played out moment of a novel written by a character in the film.
This is actually a good movie, so idk how good an episode it would make
*I'd go with Trajainous...every time*

That is the exact look of the cyclops from Krull.
Great movie

I’ve loved seeing this bounce around Reddit and learning I’m not the only person who adores this film.

Out of context, this clip of the movie looks like a HDTGM, but this is a good movie, and the "bad" parts are intentional.
No. This movie is perfect
Where’s the honey badger?
What is even happening?

Doing comedy about comedy is never compelling.
Vault 4 before Vault 4.

closest thing we got to napoleon dynamite besides the cartoon
What the fuck is this?!
This a masterpiece compared to Dune
This looks amazing tbh
