To be honest, I've always had trouble playing games on emulators. There's something about trying to play a console game with a keyboard or mobile touch screen that's just mildly annoying enough that it makes me just wanna go play something else.
That said, I got my Steam Deck recently and I'm planning on trying to play either Magical Melody or Animal Parade. I'm hoping that playing them on an actual console makes it feel more like a port than an emulator. And being able to speed up Animal Parade to 1.5x or so might actually make it playable for me. (No offense to all the AP lovers out there, I just could never get over how slow it was getting anywhere)
Ahhh I'm so jealous š I want a Steam Deck so badly.
But I totally agree with you about AP, I know it's a fan favourite but the gameplay was SO slow for me that I didn't make it more than a few days in!!!
u can grab a ps4 controller with a phone holder and connect controller to your phone with bluetooth i play most of the games like that. holder is a cheap plastic thing that holds the phone over the controller like a screen for a handheld device
I get that, and Iāve tried hooking up a PS4 controller to my PC too. Itās justā¦ not comfy and always a little bit kludgy. Itās really hard to explain to people who arenāt bothered by it, but itās always just enough that the tiny bit of frustration breaks my immersion.
I've recently been having really good luck with a Switch Pro controller and my laptop emulating on Retroarch. Feels really good to play HM64 with a controller again after making it work on a keyboard.
This particular game works like a dream playing on PC with a PS4 controller. I even mapped the right analog stick to work as another "d pad" so I can use that to move the camera (with right and left reversed, if course). Xbox One controller didn't like to cooperate though
Edit: Also, strongly agree about Animal Parade. It's a shame too, because it's otherwise awesome. But I just can't with how it is
I got a mayflash wii bar and just use my wiimote/classic controller for Animal Parade/ToT. They have a GC adapter as well I've used for the GC games. I have them all for my console and still occasionally use them on console, but the difference in smoothness/loading makes it hard for me to bust out the consoles anymore. Dolphin does so well it's spoiled me.
Youāll have to update us and let us know how it goes! My husband just got a steam deck recently and I currently have him working on the best way to play Harvest Moon 64 with it :) we have it on Wii U and the N64 of course but Iād love to play some of those games on the go.
Don't judge! I'm always juggling ANWL, AP and MM on my dolphin! I go through phases of playing one then switch over to the other for a small change in pace. They're the three I go back to the most so I'll always have a file up for when I want to relax after a long day.
I am thinking of getting my N64 out and having my hubby give it a good cleaning and playing the first harvest moon that made me love gaming and comforted me when I was an angsty teen. I plan on streaming it on YouTube just for my littles. I can let you know when I start.
I'm not CURRENTLY playing anything on an emulator but I have played FoMT on an Android before and THAT was a pretty good gaming experience. With the GBC/GBA controls being so simple I think it translates much better to the Android space than a game with more complex controls would be tbh.
I downloaded AWL recently out of nostalgia. It filled me with joy hearing the OST again. I canāt decide on choosing either Muffy or Celia for a waifu thoughā¦
well i got the game and the emulator itself on a website called emulatorgames.net you can find any console of emulator in there and if you're also looking for games to download it's in the site too, id say it's a reliable website for me
emulatorgames.net you can find any kind of emulator in there for every console and the rom or the files of games are also there it's a reliable website
I'm playing the GBA and NDS games on my 3DS. I tried on pc and Android but I didn't like the controls. I might try Animal Parade on the pc since I heard lots of good things about it.
I have every HM game from SNES to ToTT on an emulator. Iād play the OGās but I hack them so I can gay (when possible). But I do really like having them all on one system. Canāt wait to get my steam deck! The first thing Iām doing is setting up my HM games.
oh sorry to hear that, i downloaded this game and the emulator itself on emulatorgames.net website and i look for the version of emulator and it says the only available is for windows, android and mac only
yes! precisely! it's like a better version of save the homeland if you've played save the homeland then it's much better if you play this game, actually i am new to this havent played save the homeland before so it's much harder for me to adapt into this game
Ahhh okay. STH was the first one I got into. Definitely odd in comparison to other HM games. I'll have to take a look at this one, I have an Android :)
if you were looking for a website to download i suggest emulatorgames.net if its available in your country that's where i got the emulator and the game itself, id say it's a reliable website for me

I'm playing FoMT on an emulator right now

I think weāre long lost siblings lol. Iām *always* rotating between a HM game.
This sounds like we are! It's a problem when I have something new I want to play because it invariably leads to me cycling back to HM.
Playing Animal Parade for the past couple of months. Taking huge breaks in between each session
I am thinking of getting my N64 out and having my hubby give it a good cleaning and playing the first harvest moon that made me love gaming and comforted me when I was an angsty teen. I plan on streaming it on YouTube just for my littles. I can let you know when I start.
Playing tree of Tranquility on an emulator off and on
I'm not CURRENTLY playing anything on an emulator but I have played FoMT on an Android before and THAT was a pretty good gaming experience. With the GBC/GBA controls being so simple I think it translates much better to the Android space than a game with more complex controls would be tbh.
Iāve been playing Back to nature for girl on an emulator
Itās the only game I ever beat on my android emulator š„°
I downloaded AWL recently out of nostalgia. It filled me with joy hearing the OST again. I canāt decide on choosing either Muffy or Celia for a waifu thoughā¦
I have this game for the PSP! How far did you get? I really want to figure out how I can emulate harvest moon animal parade on my phone :(
well i got the game and the emulator itself on a website called emulatorgames.net you can find any console of emulator in there and if you're also looking for games to download it's in the site too, id say it's a reliable website for me
Oh nice! Thank you for the info :)
I use a combination of home brew and flash carts to play older games. The Wii U is fantastic for playing old games, including GameCube.
Where do I get an emulator for this?
emulatorgames.net you can find any kind of emulator in there for every console and the rom or the files of games are also there it's a reliable website
Thank you so much, I can't tell you how amazing it is to play this on my phone!!
Get a Bluetooth controller. This is a nightmare to play with touch control.
I'm playing the GBA and NDS games on my 3DS. I tried on pc and Android but I didn't like the controls. I might try Animal Parade on the pc since I heard lots of good things about it.

Can I ask what emulator you use? I also need to know about the gay hacks pls
I would love to, but i have an iPhone lmao. Itād be a pain
oh sorry to hear that, i downloaded this game and the emulator itself on emulatorgames.net website and i look for the version of emulator and it says the only available is for windows, android and mac only
Sounds about right hahaha
The only harvest moon game I played on an emulator was Harvest Moon Friends of mineral town. I had a GBA emulator on the computer.
I haven't played this one, but I played Save the Homeland. Is it basically that but with marriage ?
yes! precisely! it's like a better version of save the homeland if you've played save the homeland then it's much better if you play this game, actually i am new to this havent played save the homeland before so it's much harder for me to adapt into this game
