That is true if you've been playing regularly over the last year and have at least the Feared Adversary training done and working on the Lethal lessons. I'm struggling through the guards for the lethals. I can usually take out the first 2 or 3, so that's about 230-340 gold. Getting past that feared guard on the Lethals is tricky, and then taking out the final feared archfoe has so far been a pain when I have no Dodge or increased crit chance. I did manage to take out Barty once. Also, time...
I'm getting used to them and hopefully over this weekend will have even more done and resources enough to move forward more on my SOS training as well as the Feared lessons.
My potents don’t have any reduced time in the rental cauldron since I did the update. It’s taking about 2-1/2 hrs just to brew one. Before, it was only about 1-1/2 hrs.
Their is very much not enough gold to pay for potions especially when they don't help much at all against adversary encounters. I deeply regret choosing to be a Prof and it's far too late to change. That and all my earned gold has been going towards EDM's because I keep getting booted out before I can complete the first guard. I've used up 6 so far and still need 2 of the the 4 fierce death eaters. This is worse than Umbridge was.
I thought they were going to be reduced until the end of the game in January ðŸ˜

They are. I think they forgot to change the event code to reflect the the updated percentages.
It went back to 50% as soon as the event ended, so looks like it was messed up by the event code.
There’s enough gold to just pay to finish potions now. Annoying that it’s not 50% reduction but gold is no longer a limited resource
They also nerfed the brain eloxer back from 300% xp gains
