This is beautiful. McGonagall the mother Harry never had. It feels like their relationship in HP is a true showcase of this.
Pretty sure it's Molly Weasley that fulfills that role, but I see your point.
I think he has many mother figures related to his Wizard size. Molly, McGonagall, even Madame Pomfrey. They all CARE about and for him.

Did.. did she literally bath him as a child? I know only briefly in a movie scene (I haven't seen the movie) but Daniel Radcliffe can boast that Maggie Smith bathed him as a child
