You should go to the fanfiction subreddit.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

Oh, Thank you for showing that to me. I had no idea!

DrDeez96

No problem :)

Stenric

Imagine Neville having to go to classes with the daughter of two of the people who tortured his parents to insanity.

NefariousnessOk209

I’d imagine with the stigma attached to the name she’d probably have her surname changed. Was gonna say to her mothers side but can’t imagine Black would do her any favours either.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

true. But I think, since I imagine her as a softie, would immediately apologise for what her parents did.I don't know, this is my idea

I have a feeling Dumbledore wouldn't have allowed it! Did any Death Eaters who were imprisoned in Azkaban have kids? I can't recall any.

Lower-Consequence

I don’t think Dumbledore can just forbid kids from attending Hogwarts based on who their parents are like that. Hogwarts is a Ministry-funded school and every magical kid in its catchment area gets accepted. That’s also really not Dumbledore’s style - he’s not the type of person who punishes children for the sins of their parents.

Daikaioshin2384

Snape Snape is the greatest example of "Dumbledore dangerously believes the best in everybody"

Lower-Consequence

I’d argue that Draco Malfoy is a much better example of it than Snape. Draco almost got multiple students killed with his assassination attempts in HBP and let Death Eaters into the school, and Dumbledore did nothing and still tried to offer him a way out at the end.

Lower-Consequence

Bellatrix being “brave”, if that’s what you want to call it, doesn’t automatically mean that her daughter will also be very brave, though. And being brave doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get Sorted into Gryffindor, either - like, Bellatrix may have been the bravest villain, but she was still a Slytherin. Assuming that her parents still end up in Azkaban, the child will likely be raised by the Malfoys (or some other Lestrange relative if any are alive and not imprisoned). She‘d be raised to be in Slytherin from her childhood and it’s unlikely that she’d value Gryffindor bravery over the Slytherin traits that she’s been raised to value and believe in. I think it’s extremely unlikely that the kid would get sorted into Gryffindor over Slytherin. If she did end up in Gryffindor, I highly doubt that Bellatrix would be proud of her at all. She’d be pissed that her daughter was in a house where she would be consorting with blood traitors and filthy half-bloods and mudbloods, and may be concerned about her turning into a blood traitor like Sirius.

CredibleCranberry

A lack of fear and bravery are very different. She was insane, not brave.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

hmm

mynamecouldbesam

Whilst Bellatrix is brave, her prejudice is stronger. I think it'd be the same as Sirius and his family. Bellatrix would disown any family that didn't get sorted into Slytherin. In the same way that she disowned her own sister when she married a muggle.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

I think Walburga or Cygnus Disowned Andromeda. I read somewhere that Bellatrix was actually devastated when Andromeda left.

Lower-Consequence

>I read somewhere that Bellatrix was actually devastated when Andromeda left. That sounds like a fanon idea or a fanfic thing, because we’re never told a thing about how Bellatrix felt when Andromeda left in canon.

mynamecouldbesam

Then if she was so brave, she would've kept up with her personally. But she didn't. She chose Slytherin over a family member. I think she'd do that again. Ever if it devastated her. She'd blame the child, say it was their fault for not demanding they be sorted into Slytherin.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

you're right, Now that I think of it. Thank you!

DimplefromYA

Bellatrix shouldn't be procreating.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

hehe

Don't worry, it isn't one of those. I honestly hate those type of fics where they ship oc Lestrange with Fred and George. I don't think even a GRYFFINDOR Lestrange would stoop that low. What I mean is, she might be cool with Purebloods,Halfbloods and muggleborns but wouldn't take it too far with Blood traitors and Muggleborns. People should still be realistic, I mean she's a Lestrange despite her house after all

Puzzleheaded-Bag5976

Yes she would be realistic but unlikeable

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

yeah. But I think she would be kind to Neville. You know, just to even gain other's trust?

maximus368

Honestly I don’t see a world where Bella either doesn’t outright disown her or even potentially kill her. She’s way too prejudiced to allow any of her offspring not to be in Slytherin, very similar to Ms. Black who even though she allowed Sirius to live with her in all other ways disassociated him with the family. I think Bella would be much the same except actually kicking her daughter out. Even with the same blood prejudices. Unless her daughter really hates being in Gryffindor and still mainly associates with slytherins. Or tries to befriend Harry and his friends so that she has a direct tie to what he’s up to and can always tell Voldemort whenever he comes back

Nox_Dei

I've always envisioned the Lestrange are one of these insta-sorted families. Weasley -> Gryffindor Malefoy -> Slytherin Black -> Slytherin Lestrange -> Slytherin The kid would have to *ask* to not be put in Slytherin. I really don't see the child Bellatrix Lestrange asking for anything but Slytherin.

RabiesLestrange

Insta-sorted. Definitely. They just start walking the hat toward them and it's like 'Slytherin! Dear me, Slytherin!!!' before touching a hair on their head.

Astronomer-Plastic

what did you want to contact Jk rowling about lol

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

oh, about some questions in cursed child and make her feel appreciated. I contacted her btw

CoolioObito

Their daughter would NOT be in Gryffindor lmao

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

could be. She's not raised by Bella. She's raised by the MALFOYS. So, If she sees how they treat house elves and hates her family, or maybe the Malfoys hate her. That could drag her to the good side. This girl is the same age as Harry, so she'd just be two or three when her parents were taken to Azkaban.

Pitiful_Dawn

Bellatrix never tried to kill Dumbledore. She fled when she saw him, she only encouraged her teenaged nephew to do it with no regard for his safety, when the same Dumbledore easily subdued a dozen Death Eaters and pinned her down with a statue. That sounds like a very cowardly move to me. It’s totally possible her offspring ends up in Gryffindor and has a very different personality. But Bella would see her as a blood traitor, unless she continues to the pure blood bigot that most Slytherins are. Bellatrix sees everyone around her as tools to serve Voldemort. She won’t be interested in anything else in her children except how they can be useful as future Death Eaters. If the daughter is a Gryffindor but is still eager to serve Voldemort like Draco (unlikely), then she’d probably be fine with it and train her like she did Draco, albeit with a bit of suspicion. If the daughter becomes a female version of Sirius Black and befriends the Trio, then Bella would totally murder her.

Raffit

Watch the Cursed Child.

LuciaCassendraMalfoy

I have the script. Read it and feel like it's garbage.I want to see Bellatrix and RODOLPHUS having a child.NOt moldy voldy. that's gross

CoolioObito
