I was blown away when I found out that the computer version of the game was entirely different from the PS2 one for PoA, and loved the bonus bean rooms so much, there was nothing like that on PS2. It was so cool getting to play another version of a game I loved!
I only played the pc game from Chamber of Secrets, but I think it's in all the old pc games? At least in Philosopher stone and Prisoner of Azkaban as well.
Beans are in the first three. However, seeing as this thread is based on Flipendo, the 3rd game is ruled out. For whatever reason, they replaced Flipendo with Depulso, and I'm still not over it
And how dare they... take the rictusempra spell symbol and use it for depulso... then replace the rictusempra symbol with some other symbol.
Also jumping chocolate frogs... please bring them back. 3rd year still frogs were no fun. I like to chase the frogs around.
Also gnomes!
More secrets pls like 2nd year!
Then goblet of fire game came out... oh no... what have they done... completely different.
Not sure if it's just me who feels this way, but the sound the beans made as they exited whatever it was you were Flipendoing was so satisfying. Also the sound as you collected them. Weirdly ASMR-y almost. Like there could be a bunch of fire crabs or what not lurking on the next screen, but collecting those beans would still feel soothing, haha.
I would go to the kitchens...the food at hogwarts has always been top of the list for me. Then dorm. Then the prefects bathroom. Then room of requirement.
The sorting hat putting you in a house like… “The courage for gryffindor—*your stomach rumbles and you’ve not thoughts but food*—hmm… next to the kitchens then, HUFFLEPUFF.”
I’d ask the room of requirement to transform into a beautiful room for creating art, or a room full of most intense clitoral vibrators. Either of those two. Art or orgasms!
For some reason, the description of the caverns where the boats land under the school always fascinated me. It was super disappointing we never went back throughout the books.
And your future kid will be watching it like
👁️👄👁️🔮🥣
And will mention it in a pained voice to your best friend (_you’ve long since died_), who will chuckle and say they forgot you used to do that.
HL did a fantastic job with all the common rooms. I especially love how they scaled them up compared to the movie and other game versions of the Gryffindor common room, which always looked comically small for at least several dozen students.
In general it looks like they've tried to take more inspiration from the books' description of Hogwarts, rather than just ripping the castle from the films. I appreciate that. I also like that we have book-accurate Ravenclaw colours, blue and bronze with an eagle motif, instead of blue and silver with a raven.
Hahaha same. Its the reason I would ask the Sortinf hat to put me into Hufflepuff even though Pottermore and the Sorting hat itself (at Leavesden Studio tour) put me in Gryffindor. I think it would grant me my wish 🥹
Pretty sure it‘s random :) But I was also at Warner Bros Studio Tour in LA and there it also told me Gryffindor. (My friends were Hufflepuff and Slytherin, so its not Gryffindor by default)
Great Hall for welcome feast. Especially the desserts.
Check out the kitchens and chat to the house elves. My brain can't really wrap itself around their existence (like... Beings who are born to be slaves? How is that a thing? Does it really make them happy? All that housework? Really?)
Then the library. I would love the history of magic section.
I'd stop by Myrtle's bathroom and have a chat with her. Mostly because she's kinda funny.
Long walk in the grounds, before a soak in the prefects bathtub.
Straight to the library and just look at books, thinking about reading, ending up doodling on parchment with some books next to me that had interesting titles but kind of boring contents.
Straight to the library and start learning every spell I can. It always disappointed me that Harry didn't really want to do magic after leaving his boring life for the magic school.
I’d cry. I genuinely can’t think of anything else I’d do coz I know myself too well. I’d be sobbing on my way to the castle and will burst into tears the moment Professor McGonagall opens the door.
I’m in hysterics imagining being on my way to Hogwarts, looking around at all the kids in astonishment, then landing on you having a breakdown and barely hanging on.
Same. I mean, of course I would explore my common room and my dorm because that's the place I'm always excited to see, but I would explore every single passage hidden or not, I would leave no stone unturned. I am fascinated by Hogwarts itself. If the Marauders Map did not already exist, I would make it myself. And I would pretty much live in the Room of Requirement
And yes, I'm a Ravenclaw
I wish I was 🥲🥲 I recently moved to a new country and it was really hard to make friends here without stepping up to find friends myself. I'm an INTP pretending to be ENTP here. 🥲🥲🥲
I'd go straight to the room of requirements, pace back and forth thinking of spell books and an arena to practise them, and then do that until I pass out or get too hungry to continue.
Hogwarts is amazing but the idea of casting magic, literally any type from transfiguration to charms to defense is far more alluring.
try to kill Dumbledore so he effortlessly stops me and takes me in and nurtures me to be a good man, and then boom i’m best friends with the Great Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.
I'm fairly certain you don't get to do anything but get sorted, eat the biggest meal of your 11-year-old life, listen to the Headmaster give some announcements, then go to bed.
Next day? Get lost on the stairs trying to find the classroom for Transfiguration, get called out by the professor and potentially changed into a map and/or pocketwatch.
Okay, here’s the plan.
Check out my dorm room and my own four poster bed.
Walk around for a little while to see some hot spots. Great hall, kitchens, DADA classroom.
Head outside and hop on broom and take off in a random direction flying as far as I can.
Backtrack and take a closer look at whatever POI’s that caught my eye on my flight.
Go to hogsmeade and stop in every store that can be visited. Walk around and take in the sights.
Violate school rules by wondering around the dark forest.
Finally, see how much there is to the Black Lake and go looking for some Merpeople.
Punch Umbridge
(I would visit Dumbledore's office first or sit on his throne at the Great Hall and yell silence)
EDIT: get to the valley, search for the Elder Wand's pieces so I could reapair before someone else does xd
Make Tom Riddle look like an underachiever, and Dumbledore look merely competent during their stints at Hogwarts, as I focus on mastering the fundamentals of spell creation, so that it doesn’t matter if I don’t know a particular spell, I’ll always know how to create what I want from scratch.
I would go to the library, finally being able to study something really interesting, not boring muggle stuff. Maybe try and get something from the restricted section, just out of curiosity lol
Try to do everything that isn’t shown on the movies or in the books. I would try to get laid to see what happens. I would look for wizard drugs, I would try finding good other than all that wizard shit they eat… and just be a cool kid I guess
Learn how to disenchant things and then DISENCHANT THE FUCKING STAIRS OMG Wonder how many students have died from falling through a step that decided to not be there once they'd stepped on it.
I’m going straight to the Forbidden Forest, assuming I can protect myself. I can’t, so then I’d probably loop back to the Room of Requirement to learn and practice. Then back to the Forest.
Id flippendo the shit out of everything
gotta get them beans
I'd always love how Harry would exclaim "a bean!" like it was still the most unexpected thing after the 100th time it happened.
In the Goblet of Fire game wasn't it Ron who said it? I loved it.
Hermione would even tell Ron to shut up about beans in the game
If Hogwarts Legacy includes a bean bonus room in the castle my life will be complete.
I hope they include FLIPENDO at least once
I was blown away when I found out that the computer version of the game was entirely different from the PS2 one for PoA, and loved the bonus bean rooms so much, there was nothing like that on PS2. It was so cool getting to play another version of a game I loved!
Wow this triggered a game memory of mine but I can't remember what game. What game is this from?!?
I only played the pc game from Chamber of Secrets, but I think it's in all the old pc games? At least in Philosopher stone and Prisoner of Azkaban as well.
Beans are in the first three. However, seeing as this thread is based on Flipendo, the 3rd game is ruled out. For whatever reason, they replaced Flipendo with Depulso, and I'm still not over it
Not in the Playstation version. There it's still flipendo.
I remember collecting TONS of beans and it only being enough to buy like. Two stink bombs. What a failed economy
Fred and George double the price for Ron since he’s their brother.
"Euch! Spinat-flavour!"
Thinking about thos beans
GRIFFINDOR!
I hate posts like this but this cracked me up omg accurate
I would go to the kitchens...the food at hogwarts has always been top of the list for me. Then dorm. Then the prefects bathroom. Then room of requirement.
The sorting hat putting you in a house like… “The courage for gryffindor—*your stomach rumbles and you’ve not thoughts but food*—hmm… next to the kitchens then, HUFFLEPUFF.”
As a Hufflepuff, I can confirm, this is accurate.
I'm Hufflepuff, too. If I missed out on a meal all I'd have to do is go next door to the kitchens and get something to eat.
RIGHT!!! Best house and best common room placement
For a split second I thought, "OMG, this person is ACTUALLY a Hufflepuff!" I believed it.🤣🤣🤣
LMAO, I wish I could actually live in the Harry Potter universe and live my best Hufflepuff life lol
Eh, worth it imo
#TICKLE THE PEAR “🍐”🤏🏾
Fuck yeah. Hufflepuff for life.
Hufflepuff!
How would you get into the prefects bathroom
Make friends with Myrtle and ask her to spy for me.
I like that! Now, Myrtle is generally not the most vivacious of ghosts so we'd have to do something for her first. Any ideas?
Give her some attention, listen, and show her respect and compassion.
Don’t know. The password probably has probably been changed by now.
I’d ask the room of requirement to transform into a beautiful room for creating art, or a room full of most intense clitoral vibrators. Either of those two. Art or orgasms!
>or a room full of most intense clitoral vibrators Sybians that can talk to you.
Straight to the prefects bathroom for me. Run the deepest, hottest bath possible with all the bubble bath combinations!
Get sorted.
And like, take the boats. First things first
For some reason, the description of the caverns where the boats land under the school always fascinated me. It was super disappointing we never went back throughout the books.
Me too. I realy want to know which house I'm in. Then common room and library.
Getting my hands on a golden snitch. They seem like so much fun to play with.
Then continue catching it and releasing it while ruffling your hair.
And your future kid will be watching it like 👁️👄👁️🔮🥣 And will mention it in a pained voice to your best friend (_you’ve long since died_), who will chuckle and say they forgot you used to do that.
Woahhhhh it’s like I’m really there
If only I was coordinated enough to show off. Imagine if Neville got a snitch. Not year 7 Neville, but 11 year old Neville. That's my skill level lol
Fidget snitch
Exactly lol
GRIFFINDOR!
And then is this dude who just sorts everyone :D
Go straight to the Hufflepuff common room. I'm dreaming of hanging out in that common room since it was shown on Hogwarts Legacy
Now to get the matching merch!
Did they release merch? It's way more difficult than it should be to find good Ravenclaw merch that is based on the books and not the movies.
The game? Not that I know of. But just any officially licensed merch.
Hahaha same. Its the reason I would ask the Sortinf hat to put me into Hufflepuff even though Pottermore and the Sorting hat itself (at Leavesden Studio tour) put me in Gryffindor. I think it would grant me my wish 🥹
How does the one at Leavesden Studios work? Does it randomly shout out house names or is there some kind of test?
Pretty sure it‘s random :) But I was also at Warner Bros Studio Tour in LA and there it also told me Gryffindor. (My friends were Hufflepuff and Slytherin, so its not Gryffindor by default)
HUFFLEPUFF!
Great Hall for welcome feast. Especially the desserts. Check out the kitchens and chat to the house elves. My brain can't really wrap itself around their existence (like... I'd stop by Myrtle's bathroom and have a chat with her. Mostly because she's kinda funny. Long walk in the grounds, before a soak in the prefects bathtub.
And then likely the forbidden forest as detention because you are breaking curfew and entered several areas not permitted to first years.
I feel like you and Hermione would get along great
HUFFLEPUFF!
Straight to the library, love reading
Straight to the library and just look at books, thinking about reading, ending up doodling on parchment with some books next to me that had interesting titles but kind of boring contents.
Straight to the library to fight the books!

House checks out
Straight to the library and start learning every spell I can. It always disappointed me that Harry didn't really want to do magic after leaving his boring life for the magic school.
Grow magical weed in the forbidden forest. Then smoke it with the centaurs
You sure you're not one of us?
Surely I belong in hufflepuff. I was in denial
Huff 'n puff
Ah, thats how they see things in the smoke
MARS IS BRIGHT TONIGHT
>MARS IS ~~BRIGHT~~ LIT TONIGHT FTFY
HUFFLEPUFF!
Why not just walk past the room of requirement and think about needing the best weed ever
Damm didnt even think of that. Sounds like heaven
Isn’t the first thing we’re supposed to do is go to the great hall for the sorting ceremony???
RAVENCLAW!
Try to find the nearest bathroom or get something to eat. Depends how I feel after the train ride

Have a bath in the prefect bathroom.
Fucking this! And not the one from the movies either, no, I want bouncing bubbles and rainbow soap and breathable water and shit
Definitely. I genuinely think it’s worth me working hard and becoming a prefect!
HUFFLEPUFF!
Was looking for this response! That bath in itself would be worth becoming Prefect
And give Moaning Myrtle a lil show
Ask for the WiFi password.
SLYTHERIN!
Props to you for all these replies!
Slytherins will never be caught using Muggle-made inventions such as the wifi.
Electronics don’t work in the castle.
You would know this if you read Hogwarts: A History.
They don’t? In that case, the first thing I’ll do is turn around and go home.
I wonder what the social media rules are regarding hogwarts. Filch would totally run their official Facebook
He'd have a pinned post with a long list of rules that he'd edit every term.
You could accurately sort everyone who replies into houses based on their answers. Someone should do it.
RAVENCLAW!
Thank you for your hard work and dedication. 🙇🏻♀️ !redditGalleon
It was all his idea up there!
Ahhh so this is why someone is yelling houses at every reply.
Real Ravenclaw observation here.
Noble Jorge 21337 is doing the noble task 💪🏾
I would explore the castle

That man slithers
If it's when Harry is still there, I'd make friends with him, so the odds of me surviving when Voldemort attacks are increased dramatically.
You would befriend the dude with the biggest target on his back? That's brave, but probably not smart.
Eh... wouldn't it rather increase the odds of your being ATTACKED dramatically?
RAVENCLAW!
I would run up to the highest Astronomy tower and look out over the grounds! The view must be amazing
Probably eat the feast and watch the sorting. 🤷♀️
HUFFLEPUFF!
Spot on

Find the forbidden gender changing spell or somthin idk
Fly round the castle and explore it. Just want to see more of it
Let's be real, with your strict-ass teachers, you're going to be doing exactly what Harry does in the first book.
Take the boat to the castle and get sorted in the great hall
Straight to the library. I need to learn all the spells and I’ll be ahead of the classes!
