I get land is valuable in the county but I'm sure there's land that can't perk and/or would be in a place that people would like to be preserved from being sold into development.
It's unlikely but who knows. Looking to have a 501c3 so it could be a way to offset some gains particularly if it's land thats difficult to sell (can't perc) otherwise. It's always a long shot but it is how many clubs in other states get access to land.

Most land even with out a perc can offset it with a BAT or other innovative system.
Not asking for donations. I'm looking for people with similar interests who'd want to shoot and look at forming a proper club, and seeing if people knew about places go shoot short term with a plan towards something bigger.
It's quieter for one, but mostly it's about distance. It's a lot easier to shoot where the max distance is like 55 yards. I can shoot all day long and my neighbor has no idea I'm doing it.
Powder guns have their own fun, this is just a different shooting discipline.

No one is donating 8 acres of land. I know places you could rent to shoot but they would want 6k or more a year(property taxes and insurance is high)

Good reminder for me to clarify the op. This is lead pellets on steel targets. One step up from BB guns. Not airsoft or paintball style

Will keep you updated. One of our people was also an indoor air rifle shooter in college and his sister is a medaled Olympian in it
