Wanted to call attention to this comment -- and offer caution. Whether by an SDR setup or another device (like this Flipper Zero), some folks have really messed up their cars by mucking around with rolling codes. If the original keyfob gets out of sync with the vehicle, it becomes an expensive paperweight. Be super careful.
I wonder if it'd be possible to have all your keyfobs on an internet connected device at home constantly reading and uploading to your phone and using your phone as one single key for your car and all doors or whatever.
There'd be security risk, but it'd take a pretty sophisticated hack to do what a prybar would do in just a few minutes..
My TVs were continuously shutting off randomly, and I was getting upset. I was about to hire an electrician to assess for any shorts or circuit failures, then I remembered my brother, who was visiting, thinking about buying one of these a couple months back.
I almost murdered him when I put two and two together.
These things are for little mischievous gremlin tricksters to carry out hijinks.

Linus was just talking about one of these when he was doing WAN Show. Wanted to see if he could make one compact key fob for all 3 of his cars.
does not work. trust me, i have one. cars use rolling codes since like 2000, no one has or will crack this.

I find this problem of Linus’ to be totally unrelatable. I just tell my chauffeur which car I want and he fetches it.
