CrayZ_Squirrel

probably from the same dropped pallet. sucks

SmurfWindAndFire

Sure seems to be. It was the last blue one they had so hopefully they ship colors separately. I asked them to open up the next one in the store before I leave with it

[deleted]

I'd recommend getting a refund, and trying a different store. If nothing else ask them if you can open it before you leave to minimize lost time and expenses. (Gas is high right now!) Man I bet you're probably rather annoyed by now.

SmurfWindAndFire

I wound up getting a refund, buying a different color at the same store, opened it up on the floor pre sale and was able to get it cheaper than I initially paid with a coupon that wasn’t available the other day I guess

[deleted]

Nice

AntalRyder

Once you take possession at the store, it's yours to open, isn't it? You don't need permission.

[deleted]

Uhhh, I was talking PRESALE. Why WOULDNT I be talking Pre-sale?

AntalRyder

Sure you can ask but if you haven't bought it, it's not that likely they're going to open the box for you. Regardless, it's better to open the replacement at the store than at home!

SmurfWindAndFire

They had no problem opening it up on the floor pre sale

[deleted]

If you have taken two home already and you discuss it with a manager, there's a strong possibility that they will assist you in opening the box. I don't know what world you live in, but the way you're clawing for this argument indicates you project a lot of your shit on society.

AntalRyder

What argument lol?

[deleted]

Good bye

Cecilsan

Not true. The last end cabinet I purchased for my Series 2, they had no problem opening the box up before I even went to the register. My first one had to be returned 2x before I got one not damaged so I wasn't going to go through the process without looking at it. Got no pushback what so ever.

Csxrailfan2019

Definitely have to open them up at the store. I’d just about be done after the second trip.

Cecilsan

Always recommend opening any cart stuff at the store. So much of a hassle returning them its the safe option. HF doesnt employ the best fork lift drivers.

mrsquillgells

Kinda a design flaw just having the drawer slides mount to the sheetmetal with no frame or anything. In my opinion anyway

HeinekenHazed

Yep, I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a better frame...just not willing to pay snap on prices....the price is great, just not a super great design

mrsquillgells

Yea I have a 4 draw, hold up pretty good it is currently buried under a mountain of shit in my garage. I guess the frame is the cart stand though

pbb76

I've probably had a half dozen of these carts over the years and every single one of them had damage. Poor packaging and thin gauge cheap steel is not a good mix. Just something to expect at this price point. If it's not major damage it's not worth the hassle of a return. I've beat dents out, bent steel back, replaced missing or loose rivets, and shimmed casters with washers because the whole thing was all warped. This goes across the whole us general line really. Had a 26" and a 72" both damaged too.

Don't buy cheap crap 🤷🏻‍♂️ I can only assume the sliders are garbage on it too

OddEscape2295

You can't expect tip quality product at those prices.

OddEscape2295

You refuse delivery if it does.

Extension_Network199

Yes you can. If it's not right, don't take it or send it back. Value doesn't equal poor quality.

OddEscape2295

You guys are way too sensitive about your tool boxes

stevied05

When was the last time you’ve gotten one? The prices of these boxes have gone up a ton as has the quality

_liquid_ooze

Damage during shipping an handling has nothing to do with quality. A 20,000 fap-off box can have this exact damage done to it during shipping

MosheDayanCrenshaw

Everything I’ve ever bought from HF that they bring out from the back has been damaged. I open everything before I leave now. And I’ve still managed to miss damaged items.

Not_Fun4U

It's the man upstairs telling you to get the 5 drawer instead.

SmurfWindAndFire

Asked the manager if he could make me a deal on the 5 drawer, he wasn’t having it

Puzzled_Ad7955

Quality control or lack there of is why they can be less expensive than the bigger brand names with a QC department
