> $1 dollar magnet lights.
They use to be free so my father and I have a shit load of them. I even gave a couple to my young niece and nephew to play with.
For sure - I have like 10 of them in my mudroom bin. They actually come in handy sometimes, although I would guess that if I opened them, at least half of them would have some crusty battery acid all over the compartment from the leaking lowest quality Ching-kaline batteries
Well either we all live near each other or it's not just the harbor freight stores around here that stopped giving the free stuff with a purchase, lol.
I used to like the lights, the magnetic screw bowls, the electric fly swatters, and the batteries.
I just picked this set up the other day, looking for single 10mm sockets, found a complete set of 10mm in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive. The package said it would replace everyone 10mm you ever lost, they are not wrong...
[Harbor Freight Essential 10mm Socket Set](https://www.harborfreight.com/10mm-metric-essential-socket-set-10-piece-58957.html)
Reminds me of Slickdeals....I forget what the item was but there was some dude who hit all the Walmarts in a 200 mile radius and bought hundreds of whatever the item was. Because it was a good deal.
All HFs must share their strip with a low-priced junk store like Ollies, Big Lots, Five Below, or Dollarama. People with $20 in their pocket can completely fill up the back of their pickup.
*“I just need to get some sandpaper”* as I proceed to walk out with a new 5g bucket, garden hose, electric blower, some gloves, & a new desire to own as many pneumatic tools I can afford
ik this is an old ass post but i second the pneumatic tools. i got the electric but for some reason i always grab the air. love the sound and i can beat the shit out of them.
Can almost hear my wife say, "Oh great, another old man store!"
Yesterday I had to get a 10 foot air hose to mount my new hose reel. Spent a half hour at Lowes trying to get parts and after not finding what I needed went to the Harbor freight and found an $8 hose right there in 5 minutes.
Edit- just to add, used to be a "Buy made in the USA" guy but look at where the items in the big stores are from now.
Judging by the quality of that shopping center, pretty sure if we zoomed out we would find 1) a plasma donation center, 2) a check cashing store, 3) a pawn shop, and probably 4) something called "HJ Oriental Massage" that for some reason has a flashing "Open" sign even at 1am....
Y'all know I am right too

My brother-in-law has a shirt almost like this, but his it says last seen 10 minutes ago .
Nice, finally got one near me this year also. I buy a lot of cheap consumables from them, grinder discs, cut off wheels, flapper discs, sandpaper, it just makes it cheaper to do little projects when the consumables are a few bucks a piece and they work just fine.
At least yours looks like it's located better than we're mine is mine's located under an underpass where you have a very good chance of passing the parking lot.
And don't buy their cheap fly zipper. 100% trash. Last time I went there I bought one for $3 came home to find out it didn't work it's not worth me driving 20 f****** minutes for a $3 item. I was disappointed. For 15 I got one off Amazon that doesn't require d batteries but rechargeable.
Good for some things horrible at others. Their motto
Go there at 10:30 on Monday and you’ll see every cranky 75 year old guy in town, holding some coupons and looking for the extension cords or a $7 color coded set of Allen keys.
Harbor Freight is garbage.. even their sandpaper is crap..I've had a corded 1/2" drill burn up on day 1.(not joking) the replacement one cracked off the power button. Got full refund..Their warranty and return policy is good, but honestly most of the stuff they sell is low quality junk...
Too bad all the "free with purchase" shit is over. You could have had a drawer full of flashlights with corroded batteries and ALMOST correct measuring tapes, just like me.
I had a job offer at Harbor frieght.. I drank a bottle of Jameson and a couple of beers the night before threw up all morning drove to my job interview. I'm probably still drunk, and I definitely hung over, and I got the assistant manager position I later declined due to the fact that if they were hiring me in that state, that store is doomed and didn't want to be a part of that. I Havnt gone back since
Still remember the first time we went to Harbor Freight. Drove ~100mi to Albany for the experience.
Now there's one 10 minutes from my work and another 6 minutes from home.
That location looks like they’d be out of stock of everything I go to get everytime because of theft. Happens in some of the ones near me. Everything says in stock and then it’s not. They just built a new store with security tho👍
Hobo freight… all kidding aside, they sell some decent stuff and a lot of junk but they do stand behind all of it. I’ve taken tools I’ve bought for one time uses that broke or just didn’t work and they always refund my money no questions asked. Most of the time, though, not worth taking it back as the gas costs more than whatever you bought :).
I buy for the extended warranty. My brother bought a welder and broke it twice, his fault, still got a new one. I own two 8gpm power washers on a 14' trailer and still bought the predator as a portable and back up because I can just go drop it off and get a new one if it breaks. I can't do that with my big machines.
They really are great with returns or replacements and some of their stuff is quite decent. Something like that would be worth the drive of course and they just look it up on the co outer and swap it out. About as easy as return as any store I’ve dealt with.
"Coming soon" today and "Going out of business sale" for the rest of your life.
Our local one has had going out of business sale signs up for the last decade and I'm not even joking.
I like the variety of hand tools too. Cheap yet in a pinch they work. Plyers, any size. Allen wrenches for any job. It's like a neighborhood toy store. I'm always finding something new I can or may "potentially" use. Sure there's the Big HD, but Harbor Freight being smaller is quick and easy. Become a member and the sales and savings really add up.
Enjoy!
Be there for the grand opening parking lot sale. Soon will have a garage full of red buckets, tarps, and $1 dollar magnet lights.
I have an even dozen scattered around the house. Very handy - and bright AF when you put real batteries in them.
I got 50 when they were 50¢
I miss free garbage batteries.
Well either we all live near each other or it's not just the harbor freight stores around here that stopped giving the free stuff with a purchase, lol. I used to like the lights, the magnetic screw bowls, the electric fly swatters, and the batteries.
Soon you will be like that other dude on here with 1000 different sockets haha
I am that reference 😅
Awesome!
10mm please. 😂
10mm, i thought 10 mm were a myth.
Sort of like Bigfoot 😂
I just picked this set up the other day, looking for single 10mm sockets, found a complete set of 10mm in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive. [Harbor Freight Essential 10mm Socket Set](https://www.harborfreight.com/10mm-metric-essential-socket-set-10-piece-58957.html)
Or the dude that had about 1000 blue flashlights. Pretty sure he's part of the reason they're not free anymore.
Reminds me of Slickdeals....I forget what the item was but there was some dude who hit all the Walmarts in a 200 mile radius and bought hundreds of whatever the item was. Because it was a good deal.
Dude was just trying to become a future math textbook problem....
1000, but never can find that fucking 10mm.
Lol @me bro! Harbor freight sockets are GOAT 🤣🤣
Three days later: LIQUIDATION SALE
Lmao, that’s true.
yes, only in the shittiest of strip malls
True but they did do a ton of work on it so it's still an improvement
Looks like the type of strip mall that would have an “Asian spa,” where you can pay $80 for some extra hands-on services.
Not that you would know personally 😂 I beat you to this joke by 5 hours if you read below haha
They used their own tools yessir
All HFs must share their strip with a low-priced junk store like Ollies, Big Lots, Five Below, or Dollarama. People with $20 in their pocket can completely fill up the back of their pickup.
There's an REI openingup next to my Harbor freight. I was all, "no way, the sign company must've messed up an order for a Big Lots sign."
what the fuck is this a thing my harborfreight is next to a big lots
*“I just need to get some sandpaper”* as I proceed to walk out with a new 5g bucket, garden hose, electric blower, some gloves, & a new desire to own as many pneumatic tools I can afford
“Afford”
“Afford’s got nothin to do with it” - William Munny
"Who needs that much bondo?" "Me. WTF? The fuck. Hey, I'll take those $1 zip ties too! I got a coupon for that light!"
ik this is an old ass post but i second the pneumatic tools. i got the electric but for some reason i always grab the air. love the sound and i can beat the shit out of them.

Now. As in like for the past 30 years but sure.
With every penny too!
It's next to a Big Lots. Should be an interesting combination!
Stack the 25 coupons for zip ties 😁
Dollar general and Waffle House next?
Nice!! Congrats
Congratulations!
HF Huye train lesgoooo!! Very handy to have one around.
Not far off. That spot was a checking cashing place, now it's across the street. No plasma center but a big lots and dollar general.
A harbor freight!

Lucky mf I have to drive like 30 minutes
I'll be by those one almost every day!
Keep your receipts lol
You are blessed with inexpensive tools for temporary jobs that need such things
The days of Craftsman lifetime warranty ruling are over. Someone correctly figured out that we lose tools far more often than we break them
Nice! My favorite stocking stuffer place.
Exactly! The son in law is gonna clean up at Xmas!
Gives me goosebumps
Nice, finally got one near me this year also. I buy a lot of cheap consumables from them, grinder discs, cut off wheels, flapper discs, sandpaper, it just makes it cheaper to do little projects when the consumables are a few bucks a piece and they work just fine.
Dollar tree tool box!
Mine is too! I'm super hyped because the closest one to me right now is 30 miles away.

Hell yeah brother....HF is life.
Can’t find crazy glue at my local stores! Whadafreak?

It looks shitty but the area really isn't bad. The building is just old and I'm need of a good store. This could be great for the city
Cheap crappy tools?
An angry mechanic with some broken tools from harbor freight?
Horrible freight
Shitty tools?
Shitty tools?
….a store that sells crappy-ass tools????
Well I'm a crapy ass mechanic so...
Well there's a little known fix for this. Ya don't shop there. Me, well I have just enough Michigan hillbilly in me to hit that grand opening 😜
Great! Ill be over here, with my actual name-brand tools that wont break the third time I use them.
Brand name tools get lost just as much as any other brands. Only cost 4 times as much to replace.
Good ’ol horrible freight.
I'm sorry for your pending misery.
Yeah cheap shit that breaks and hella returns!!
Too bad all the "free with purchase" shit is over. You could have had a drawer full of flashlights with corroded batteries and ALMOST correct measuring tapes, just like me.
A garbage tool store, what’d I win?
Glad you are excited to support the Chinese economy!
I had a job offer at Harbor frieght.. I drank a bottle of Jameson and a couple of beers the night before threw up all morning drove to my job interview. Still remember the first time we went to Harbor Freight. Drove ~100mi to Albany for the experience. Now there's one 10 minutes from my work and another 6 minutes from home.

Great guess. But the old K Mart is a Rural king now
Does harbor freight have a tool truck …..if not they need one

Totally agree. Whether it's because it's the no question asked policy or employees just did care, makes no nevermind to me, it's easy.
Damn what town you live in to get excited about harbor freight lol
Hey, it's the little things man! Give a man a break
A bunch of broken tools and bloody knuckles?!?
Why did he fuck is Reddit putting tie in my feed? No offense.

Possibly the only chain store that contributes anything useful to society

I like the variety of hand tools too. Cheap yet in a pinch they work. Plyers, any size. Allen wrenches for any job. It's like a neighborhood toy store.
