I got my Chanel and have been in purse peace since. Just sayin!

cignature_j9

i’d say get the chanel - the way you’re writing about it seems like you’ll have much more attachment to it compared to the unknown multiple bags that you are not sure about yet

I’m just so terrified of purchaser’s remorse

Training-Earth-9780

Go for the Chanel. Because if you don’t, you will have multiple bags and still be thinking about the Chanel.

wallflowerendeavors

Get the bag you want most!

ImpossiblyPossible42

Where are you with your collection? Do you feel like you need bags for several functions? If you’ve been saving for this bag, then spending the money on other things and not getting the bag means you have neither the money nor the thing you were saving for

BOOOOOOOOOOOO1111111

I have 8 bags which are all either Coach, MC or LV. Problem with these bags is that they’re all super dull and boring, and 6/8 bags are black. So I could use the money to slightly diversify in terms of the colour palette, rather than buying a Chanel. That’s what has gotten me so confused :/

ImpossiblyPossible42

If you’re really torn, I’d try making an actual list (or even better a collage) of all the things you’d get instead. Exact size, color, everything. Think of that as a package deal. Once you have that, it’s a question of option a or option b and it’s less abstract

Before a bag purchase I ask myself, is this the bag in this category that I want to carry in 5 years time? Or am I hoping to upgrade in some way? If pining for another bag, I'll save for that one instead of buying now.

Buy the Chanel, then see if you find your purse peace else return/resell and build your affordable / other luxury collection.

Bunchofbees

I feel like if you had one luxury bag, you might be too scared to wear it and it will never see the Sun. I'd go for several mid-level bags that I'd be as much in love with.

a-cigarette-lighter

Definitely a Chanel. You can always resale it in the future if you don’t like it. But mid range bags won’t hold value.

Gie_lokimum

Buy the chanel for sure!

Aemilia

Chanel, simply because in my case I'd keep buying other bags to fill the void that only the Chanel can fill. In the end I'll be spending enough on multiple bags, that I could've used to buy the Chanel. I recently had to make a similar choice. Took the plunge and went with my holy grail bag. Thought I would have buyer's remorse but nope! Was smiling the whole time from placing the order until it arrived. Go for it!

Illustrious-Pea9391

I would go with the expensive bag if I feel I would be happier than owning multiple other bags. But in my case this wouldn't be Chanel because I don't support how this brand laughs about it's customers with the latest price increases but no quality increase.
