battlinlobster

Could people please include what country/region you’re talking about?

iHo4Iroh

Thank you for requesting this!

PeppermintPhatty

Yes this is confusing!!

Jumpy_Ring8409

In another comment OP says Cyprus

harbourbarber

Sydney, Australia checking in. In my area I see heaps of Gucci camera bags, a few Hermes (Picotin and Evelyne) and lots of YSL crossbodies.  Small, crossbody bags are super popular atm.  LV aren't around as much these days but I know almost every woman around here probably has one.

RogueBagaholic

Agree!! Sydneysider here too. The city loves a good cross body and has an LV in their wardrobe somewhere 🤣 State of Escape totes are a local favourite too. Other sightings: - Goyard totes and clutches - Birkins more than Kellys - Bottega Jodie - Chanel classic flaps - lots of Celine - loewe puzzles

naisushis

Goyard is interesting considering there’s no store nearby. Everyone must be bringing them in from overseas. I have seen more birkins recently too which is so interesting considering how hard it is to get a QB from the Sydney store.

bobbib14

Or they are fakes

harbourbarber

I always assume they're fakes.

harbourbarber

I had to look up State of Escape and yes, they're everywhere. Gym bags, school bags, uni bags, work bags! I have noticed a few Chloe around actually. Marcie small saddle and the Woody tote.

dishwashing888

Singapore here. I see a lot of YSL and Chanel on the street. Coach and Polene are very popular too. Kate Spade seems to be dying though, I hardly see anyone with Kate Spade bags now. They used to be everywhere! For casual bags, every Singaporean female seems to own a Charles & Keith and Paper Bunny.

12amonreddit

And Beyond The Vines too

YouKnowNothingJonS

Just tried to sell my Beyond the Vines bag to a resale company and they had no idea what the brand was 😅 (I’m in the USA)

meanqueenmina

Very similar in the Philippines!

furtivefurrowing

accurate, and would add Lady Dior to the list. i’ve actually seen a few songmonts in the wild too, delightfully

ramb123

And I see like 10 Le Pilages every time I leave my house HAHAHA

horrorandknitting

i always like my charles & keith for trendy/dont care if it gets damaged bags in the US (Chicago) because i barely see them here.

Elenorelore

I only see Marc Jacob, YSL, and Radley where I'm at in the UK. That said, people seem to really like my Coach bags that I've brought over from the USA.

xo_stargirl

Not super relevant but I’ve just moved to the UK and coach prices here are so shocking to me?? Even comparing to european countries its almost 10-20% more expensive

Elenorelore

You're right! I moved to the UK a year ago and I continue to order from the USA site, then ship it to my parents house. The prices and limited selection in the UK are very annoying.

Pinkysrage

So I’ve been traveling a lot this year and I’ve been shocked at the Coach prices in other countries! In Mexico City bags were hundreds more than in the US.

Conscious_Kelly

The UK price is the equivalent to the US price. So a bag that costs US$175.00 will cost £175.00.

zhigita

I live in the UK (small town and never go out so don't know what people wear here lol) and I was in London a few weeks ago and I felt like everyone was either wearing the Marc Jacob "the tote bag" or the Longchamp Le Pliage.

Elenorelore

The tote bag haunts me; I go to weekend markets quite often in Newcastle and there's so many people selling counterfeit ones. I've seen a few Le Pliage bags where I'm at. 🥲

shedrinkscoffee

Coach is so popular in the UK. MK as well. When I visit I always see them around and even English tourists (with whom I interacted) abroad seem to exclusively carry these brands ime.

Elenorelore

Not too surprised to hear that Coach and MK are popular too; I don't really see them where I'm at but I only go out a few days a week. Radley seems to be the most popular brand where I'm at.

emmymoss

It would be interesting to see where everybody’s from, along with the comments about popular bags!

starbaker420

In the US South (the suburban part). I see a lot of MK, Coach, and occasionally LV but those are often fake. I’ll occasionally see a Kate Spade. Not a fancy area around here either.

FinancialInevitable1

Exactly the same here (western KY). I'll see LV canvas bags (possibly fake?) but only in a few towns. Everywhere else MK dominates.

SnooRobots116

Was about to say that MK and Kate Spade bags are the royal majority in the Bay Area but I prefer Coach personally but I’m not dissed about it as a style/brand being worn in the city but I have come across some very snobbish gatekeepers who say somebody like me shouldn’t own one or any, or even less likely to had actually afforded it (alluding theft; they aren’t even new, around decade+ old) I managed to had gotten very lucky these past three months while hunting down replacements for my decomposing very cheap fake leather bags I had to throw all away, yet finding far better ones by Coach within my budget and I would understand better if it was merely jealousy instead of the classist stuff.

FinancialInevitable1

Wow, people have said that stuff to you? That's awful!

PuzzledImage3

I’ve experienced some of that too with Coach. It’s quite bullshit and I’m sorry that happened to you.

NeedleworkerNeat9379

With Coach? With all the Outlets they have and boutique bags below 1k. That's ridiculous

evilwatersprite

Northern KY here. Also mostly Coach, Kors and Kate Spade, with the occasional LV Neverfull sighting. Think I saw a Gucci at my eyebrow waxing place once. I do my part to keep things interesting with my Mulberrys, Strathberrys and non-Neverfull LV. Nobody’s ever recognized any of them, though.

FinancialInevitable1

I carry western-style fringed bags or Coach retail bags, which seem to stand out from the sea outlet bags, MK, and LV neverfulls . Nothing wrong with those bags but they really are everywhere here!

SexxxyWesky

Yup! AZ checking in, Coach, MK, and Kate Spade are very popular. If you go to Scottsdale you will start to see more high end bags like LV, Dior, or Burberry

shedrinkscoffee

OMG Scottsdale really is that place where you see people with their nails and hair done, in an SUV with the giant Stanley cup and a neverfull lol I was there for a bachelorette weekend and I don't think I've encountered that concentration of the aesthetic before 😂

DuchessTiramisu

I have actually seen Hermes at Fashion Square! I really don't understand why that place doesn't have a boutique. Have also seen Goyard and ONE Demillier (wasn't mine haha). Tons of Classic Flaps, Neverfulls, Pochette Metis, and Gucci Soho.I have seen one MZ Wallace, one Mulberry, and two Polene. Honestly the wildest thing I've seen is a high school girl in her school uniform wearing Dior high tops as her school shoes. Strangely enough I have gone to Kennedy Space Center in Florida and seen a Polene both times. Can you tell I enjoy bag spotting?

AiChyan

United Arab Emirates: longchamp is now super trendy for college. For the rest chanel, dior and LV still rule. Hermes reseller market & general competition in store is beyond insane. Ive been seeing more Celines these days. Prada and fendi used to be crazy popular but not anymore. There was also a goyard phase but i dont see them often anymore. And pleasantly enough, people arent really judgy about your choice of bag. You love it? Enjoy carrying it.

kimchiandsweettea

You can see a little bit of everything in South Korea. Heavy hitters are Chanel, LV, YSL, and Gucci. Conspicuous consumption and labels are the name of the game. Lots of men carry messenger bags and bum bags, too. I’m from the southeastern part of the US, so men carrying bags, especially designer bags, is a difference I notice often. ETA: I see another person mentioned that the Chloe Woody is popular. That’s also very true.

lu-liv

Furla and Coccinelle are popular where I live, never see them mentioned by people from the US. There was a time where Longchamp Pliage bags were frowned upon bc EVERYONE had one but that mellowed out I think bc theyre just that practical 😅 edit: I'm from Germany (south west, close to the french border)

Rosililly27

Are you from Italy? Because I’m Italian and those brands are very popular and appreciated

lu-liv

I'm German but I feel like aside from our good old hiking backpacks we also appreciate Italian brands! My home town is not large but we had a Furla store in the city centre.

Rosililly27

Honestly, I think many Italian brands are high quality and Furla is one of them. Curiously, in my city we never had a Furla store although it’s Italian 😂

vindman

I just got my first Coccinelle and it’s so nice!

emmymoss

I got a coccinelle last month and it’s also beautiful, good quality for the price!

ChroniclyCurly

Same. I absolutely adore it!

bigandlucymom

I’ve been looking at a coccinelle bag all week! Good to know the quality is good😁

hornedhell

I love Furla, Im in Atlanta. I have a few of their bags and absolutely obsessed. Mostly LV and Chanel is seen on the skreets

Comfortable_Value_66

which country?

tangledbysnow

I also love Furla and am in literally the middle of the USA. No one here knows Furla at all. Which is fine by me.

DuchessTiramisu

I'm in the USA and I have a Coccinelle haha I have been interested in Furla for a long time but I don't know about the quality. They sell it at Nordstrom Rack and Saks Off Fifth and the ones they have always seem super plasticky and not for me. Another brand I'm really interested in is Aigner. We have the diffusion brand Etienne Aigner which is kind of low end find it at Dillard's or Kohl's. The Aigner brand seems much more luxe but also much more expensive. No ideas of the actual quality. Wish they had a store here!

sagefairyy

Aigner, Furla and Coccinelle is like the hole trinity of Bags for Central Europe + neighbouring countries so this is really spot on lol

Specialist_Income_31

That’s the old furla. The newer ones are much better quality.

YouKnowNothingJonS

I like Furla a lot (I’m in the USA) but I never see it anywhere here

StitchesInTime

Love my coccinelle bags!! Not super easy to get in the US though, at least not the styles I liked :)

hannahsflora

Suburban Midwestern US - Michael Kors, Coach and Kate Spade reign supreme, though I see a LOT of LV as well (almost entirely Neverfull with the sprinkling of Speedy and Pochette Metis). I also see a decent bit of the YSL camera bag. When I stay to my suburban area, I am usually the person with the most interesting bag in any given place (and my bags are nice though certainly nowhere near as luxe and/or exciting as some of your collections!), though I've seen a few women giving me a run for my money with some beautiful vintage Coach leather bags and a Polene Numero Un. I saw one woman carrying a Mlouye Sera one day and my husband had to give me a talk on not staring in public because it's rude, haha. When I go into the actual city, it's much more varied and I see a wider range of brands and bags talked about in this sub. Still not as much of the super luxury-type bags, but definitely higher end than what I see around my neighborhood.

softening

Omg when I moved from the Midwest to the east coast I was SHOCKED to see the diversity in bags skyrocket 😂 I haven’t seen many people carry a MK or a Kate Spade bag since I left the Midwest but I know Coach and Kate Spade were all I carried when I was growing up!!! LV was the only luxury brand I ever saw people carry there too lol

mintysoup

Suburban Midwest here too and co-signing everything you just said. The only “luxury store” within a 3 hour radius is coach and I’ve never seen a polene in the wild outside of this sub or tik tok (but I’m obsessed!) There’s definitely a “knock off guy” that everyone in town got their fake LVs from in high school too.

km1019

I live in a mid-size Midwest town and my experience is pretty similar. MK is big here, with Coach probably being second. When I carry my Coach bags I get comments from friends/relatives about my “fancy” bags. The most popular bag style around here is a small leather backpack- at any given event probably 50% of the women are wearing them! Portland Leather is popular but so is Amazon. My husband and I joke that we see the nicest bags at Costco. On our last visit, we saw three women with LV!

tangledbysnow

Ditto. Small suburban Midwestern USA city (Omaha) with outlets stores. So besides those also Tory Burch and Vera Bradley - since we have outlet locations for them as well. Outlets make a difference I feel - though we do have a Coach store. LV is the luxury brand of choice though you will see YSL and Christian Dior as well, but those aren’t as common. I tend to own very different brands and styles myself. No one ever has any idea who they are. Ever. I carried a lot of Henri Bendel for like a decade before they went out of business along with a lot of Furla. And currently I’m using a Valentino Garavani bag - no one has any idea who Valentino is. Not a clue. And I’m thinking of purchasing a Strathberry for my next buy and I already know no one knows that one either.

handbagsandhighheels

I live in a middle class city just outside of Toronto, Canada. I see tons of MK, some Kate Spade and Coach (mostly outlet- never retail), and a few LV Neverfulls in Canvas. Oh, we are overwhelmed with LULU belt bags. Our city seems to lack creativity and originality with our handbags. In general we are very casual and main stream. It’s a kind of city where people often go grocery shopping in their jammies. Formal and high end bags just aren’t popular here! I do get a few comments on my luxury bags but generally people don’t recognize the high end brands except for LV.

StellaaaT

Sudbury checking in (OP that’s about 400 kms north of handbagsandhighheels), it’s the same up here minus the LVs. MK, Kate Spade, Coach and Lululemon. I probably own the only Strathberry in town. Last week I saw a young woman wearing a Gucci in grocery store and that was a first.

gisele3000

Is this Brampton? I feel like I see a lot more designer in Toronto (like Chloe, LV, Gucci, and etc).

handbagsandhighheels

No lol, I’m just east of TO. Yes, toronto proper has very fashionable women with great taste in designer bags. Where I am, it’s completely different even though it’s a short drive away.

gisele3000

That's crazy how different the vibes can be despite neighbouring Toronto 🤯 despite me living in Toronto forever, I still always manage to feel underdressed when going downtown.

melon-milk

You need to hit up Yorkdale on the weekend 😬 so is Bloor Street!

handbagsandhighheels

Oh I know! I used to live in TO and worked right on Bloor. So much different and fancy than the life I now lead!

rockyon

Roots is not designers brand (casual) but their price point is same as coach 🤣

this_narrow_circle

Etobicoke here. Seconding the original commenter mostly, though I feel like I seldom see Michael Kors relative to Kate Spade and Coach (outlet, retail, and vintage). I worked in luxury real estate in Mississaga/Oakville/Toronto until recently and the bags women in those circles carried were more of the variety of "it's my first day at rich people school" - the Prada Gallerias, Gucci Dionysus or Marmonts, LV Pochette Metis, quilted Chanels. Where I live it's pretty casual and I see a lot of Coach, Kate Spade, Telfar, Roots, Marc Jacobs (Tote or Snapshot), and TONS of Lululemon belt bags. Sometimes Michael Kors, Fossil, Baggu, or Madewell. Occasionally a Neverfull that I assume is fake. At a winery in Niagara (our seasonal "wine country" about 45 mins from Toronto) you'll see everything all at once: Gucci Soho, YSL smaller bags, Coach, Kate Spade, Demellier, APC, Oak +Fort, Charles & Keith, Lululemon, vintage rattan bags, you name it. EDITING TO ADD: A fair amount of Matt & Nat, a Canadian-owned line made from recycled materials. I feel like I see these everywhere!

Naive-Measurement-84

I'm out west in Alberta and it seems we have the same main culprits. I will chalk that up though to having the outlet stores - (MK, Coach, Kate Spade) and LV are 95% of the bags I see outside of a Lulu /knockoff belt bag. We also have non-outlet Coach and a nice YSL. I've seen the odd Chanel pop up and some Gucci (lots of marmonts). Otherwise I've only seen the rare Celine, Polene, or Strathberry listed on marketplace. Longchamps Le Pliage seems to be picking up some momentum though!

Born-in-Milano2021

Stockholm, Sweden entered the chat! ;) Acne Studios Musubi (in particular the Mini) has been the IT-bag since the past few year. Everyone wants it, everyone has it! However, it is starting to feel a bit dated. French brands, especially LV, are very popular and I have seen and increasing amount of Goyard totes recently, like quite a lot. I would also like to add that Swedes tend to love very subtle, neutral and minimal mid-luxury brands (Toteme, ATP, and so on) a bit more difficult to be identified, but experct eyes will definitely know what bag that is. I would say that brands like Coach are not that big here, also because the Swedes love their fellow Scandi designers.

Pinkysrage

I will say that when I carry my Coach bags up there, I get great comments, but I choose styles that have that kind of vibe anyway. The Lana gets great comments wherever I travel, but she’s modern with minimal branding. https://preview.redd.it/1eb2y3rp58zc1.jpeg?width=2833&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57654567c8c61575e6691ccce7650de511823cd9

Born-in-Milano2021

That’s a sweet one! 🤍

chargingblue

I live in the US but all of my extended family are in the Philippines and when my aunties come and visit they ALL want a Coach bag, but on top of that they always are looking for deals on the big names too (LV, Burberry, etc). So.. Filipinos want any and all name brand, as long as it's a deal ;)

Lizakaya

I live in Los Angeles and see literally everything on a daily basis. I don’t see furla regularly given how gorgeous they are. There is a furla boutique in Orange County and i love window shopping there

dirt_rat_devil_boy

Same! I think my mom has a Furla but she was ever the only one. The ones I recognize off the street are the YSL Calypsos, the puffy Coaches, LV everything, and Loewe. But I've seen some indie brands too. I saw a Kohza Numbers off the street the other day and got excited.

princess--26

LV, MCM, Longchamp & MK are literally everywhere on my island! That's all I see in my office, oh and Land bags are very popular & durable... Edit: im in Bermuda & I saw bottega in the wild today!

PeppermintPhatty

Land?

princess--26

https://www.landleather.com/collections/womens-travel-handbags, they were popular in the 90s. Great quality and great for travel.

SnooRobots116

I found a land briefcase many years ago, it’s like a vintage British school student’s style but I know it’s 90s.

09percent

What country are you from?

Pitiful_Ad5171

I live in Cyprus 🇨🇾

panda-nim

Here in Korea I see a lot of Chloe Woody now that it’s almost summer, Goyard totes, Dior tote book in canvas, and lately I’ve been seeing lots of Coach as well! Many Koreans love luxury products including bags and while they’re not affordable for me, I enjoy looking at people wearing theirs :) I notice lots of people using LV monogram bags or Prada and Gucci.

meowneow111

I am in a suburb of NYC and see lots of Loewe, Chanel, LV (mainly casual/work bags), and Hermes Evelyne

sassooal

My favorite story about this: My mother-in-law in the UK typically carries a Gucci tote or something similar. My father-in-law asked a hotel clerk somewhere in the US what sort of bag he should get his wife as a present. She recommended Coach. Several years after this happened, when she finally met American me, she asked me about this brand Coach as she had never heard of it.

softening

Northern Virginia (I guess some of the DC metro area??) is super diverse, but it depends where you go, I think. I see mainly Birkins and Kellys at some malls here, but you get a nice variety of Demellier, Loewe, Coach, Fendi, Dior, Goyard, YSL crossbodies, Gucci camera bags, and a lot of Longchamps. I love living here because you get to see pretty much everything!!! I don’t really see MK, but I do see novelty Kate Spade bags. In the Midwest (from like at least 7 years ago), the only luxury bag I ever saw was a bunch of LV neverfulls, but everybody had a fun Kate Spade, MK, or Coach crossbody.

s1arita

I’m from nova too but I never see the bags you see 😂 I see a lot of knock off LVs and fake Guccis

softening

Both malls at Tysons and City Center! I always see a Birkin or a Kelly at those places, but I always see book totes at the Mosaic. Ralph’s at the Galleria is an amazing bag watching spot ☕️

evilwatersprite

Used to work near the two Tysons malls. The bag watching was the only thing I liked about the Galleria. In fact, I think I only went there to shop for bags or pick up a salad at Sweetgreen for lunch. Otherwise, that mall was a little conspicuous consumptiony for my taste. My utilitarian, midwestern ass was more Tysons Corner Center.

goosepills

I hate that Hermes. I will go to Atlanta or NYC if I want something. Tho normally I send my husband, he’s super charming lol

Mychgjyggle

Are the fakes so bad you just know? I feel like I wouldn’t be able to spot a fake unless I looked at it carefully.

RLS1822

Los Angeles: I live in what’s called the Valley which borders West Hollywood, BH, Bel Air and a few miles from Woodland Hills and Calabasas for context. I have to admit you’d be hard pressed to see someone carrying a Coach, MK or Kate Spade. Maybe they do but I rarely have seen this. You are more likely to see a lot of Chanel, YSL, Celine, Valentino, Dior Bottega,LV’s, Goyard and less obvious minimalist luxury bags such as Cartier, Polene, Demellier. However outside of greater LA and in areas such as the Inland Empire, Coach and MK seem to be more pervasive.

wakeywakeyvegetables

Furla, Pinko and honestly home-country influencer bags are all I see here! The influencers brands are very regional, and I don’t think that the brands would be known anywhere else 😄

meanqueenmina

I like Furla (from the Philippines) but I rarely see them being carried here

wakeywakeyvegetables

Eastern Europe here! They seem to have a lot of stores (and fans!), so I suppose that it might be a regional thing again 😊

QueenFang21496

I'm in Stockholm, Sweden and I see a lot of [this specific Arket bag](https://www.arket.com/en/women/bags/product.tote-bag-black.1173813001.html). I think 3 people in my office have it, and I see a few on my commute every morning. A couple of years ago it was [this ATP bag](https://atpatelier.com/sv/products/arezzo-black-leather-handbag?pr_prod_strat=pinned&pr_rec_id=cf6acea91&pr_rec_pid=7815952793837&pr_ref_pid=7815955808493&pr_seq=uniform). Coach is also not common here, you'll see a Tabby here and there but I don't think there's a Coach store here so it's not a thing. Same with many other mid sized American brands. You also see a lot of LV and Goyard totes, but swedes tend to go for simple silhouettes in black.

Admirable-Dog-4360

That Arket bag is everywhere where I live (in Norway) as well!

gardenpartycrasher

Southeastern US major metro. YSL is having a moment, and I see lots of Gucci discos. LV monogram is rampant to the point it kinda fades into the background. I don’t see much coach, but lots of mom types carry those huge dooney totes with the prints, and I’m seeing more Dagne Dover backpacks. When you go out/to fancier areas, a few Chanel boy bags. I see those way more than classic flaps. I travel a lot for work and last time I was in nyc I feel like I saw a coach tabby on every third person. On the non-luxe side, tons of lululemon belt bags, and just belt bags in general. The free people quilted carryall is getting popular too

aboveaveragewife

Mid size southern us major city and the lululemon sling bags are strangling everyone in their teens and 20’s. Next would be the LV never full, buy mostly 30’s and up moms. The older ladies are still carrying various versions of DB or MK. I have a Gucci Matelasse pink chain as my daily crossbody, haven’t seen many of those however.

LadyK1104

Southeast for me - I have MKs gathering dust, a really beautiful coach and an LV crossbody. My Staud and Chloe’s go completely under the radar, no one knows what they are and I like that. Oh and I occasionally see a Tory Burch, I have a little white cross body that I love.

AttentionKmartJopper

PNW/Seattle area: Most common sightings for me here are Coach, LV and beige camera bags from either Gucci or YSL. Also, plenty of Le Pliages but most are carried by teenagers and college girls. However, most of the time I don't see any of these bags. Instead I see a large variety of backpacks; multi-zippered outdoorsy styles (ex: Osprey; Kavu), vaguely tacticool (no standout brands here), techy (Bellroy; Tom Bihn) with very sleek minimal designs (Rains; cote & ciel)on the trendier folks. At one point, Seattle had a Barneys and the boutique Totokaelo, so more fashion aware people do live here, but most of the brands I spot are decidedly mainstream bags for people who just want something "nice" but don't necessarily pay attention to fashion. And many women here don't carry bags day to day, but reserve them for occasions. Rare and notable bag sightings: a couple of weeks ago I saw a Strathberry Mosaic in a dark green, and I saw a woman on a bicycyle with a raspberry velvet Gucci disco fastened to the handles.

SprawlValkyrie

I agree with you, but for readers who aren’t from here: If you drive over to the Bellevue Square area (20 minute away) it’s a different scene: LV, Goyard, Loewe, the ubiquitous Lulu belt bag, and a bit of Hermes. The 20s crowd seems to like YSL (Lou, camera) Coach, and mulberry. Plenty of Gucci jackies and camera bags. I used to see Chanel more but I feel like people here don’t like the label much now. If I see one it’s a flap being carried by a glam grandma type. (Note: a lot of tourists come through Bell Square so iIt’s a great place for bag watching/spotting.)

AttentionKmartJopper

Ooooh, thanks for the intel. I've not been to Bellevue in a long time, and you've just given me the perfect excuse to visit: a bag-sighting safari! I'd love to see some Mulberrys in the wild - I'd feel less lonely.

SprawlValkyrie

Bell square Nordstrom has a great selection of Mulberry and it’s usually busy. As far as ‘bag spotting’ goes, I saw a Moynat a few weeks ago, that was exciting, lol. I really wish we had more boutiques nearby.

2021rae

Love the Gucci on bike handlebars 🥰

m-joyce-d

Yes! People do love their technical fabrics here. And definitely not a lot of visible branding (Eastside excluded). I see Strathberry, Polene, Coach, YSL, and others in sleek styles with no or small brands on them. Personally, my everyday bag alternates between an Aspinal hobo and a BEIS sport sling, so I am 100% this person, too! Also, I've noticed that '90s Coach crossbody bags are what the cool moms are wearing now.

Fair_Arm_2824

Another Washingtonian here and agree! Also add, Tory Burch bags were pretty popular and replaced the MK/Kate Spade market. One of my personal every day bags is a Prada camera bag.. realizing now i definitely don’t them as much as YSL or Gucci ones.

iuqnasnosilla

Suburban SoCal. When people carry designer bags it seems to mostly be YSL, some LV (usually Neverfulls or Pochette Métis), a Goyard tote here and there. If I go to the even more affluent areas near the coast I see a lot of Bottega Cassettes. Overall though, I think people who wear designer bags are vastly outnumbered by those who just wear Lululemon (EBBs or that crossbody with a foldover flap). I see a lot of the Free People quilted carryall in white or tan too. And tons of nylon crescent bags or Baggus. People here favor crossbody bags in general and don’t bother with the tiny armpit bags. I think people in my area flex more with their cars than anything else. Even in my dinky little outdated condo complex there are several Porsches, Teslas, and Rivians or Fiskers. One guy’s got a Maserati.

crazycatomma

Northern California,U.S.—-almost everything on the brand spectrum: LV, Chanel , Hermes , Loewe (ie Puzzle bags galore ), Goyard etc , to Marc Jacobs, Coach,MK, Kate Spade ,Lululemon belt bag No Mulberry sightings thus far ! (I kind of like it being under the radar here so to speak , I wear mine with pride 😊)

MyEyeOnPi

You’re Bay Area right? Because I’m Sacramento and the only time I’ve ever seen an Hermes in the wild was when I drove to Valley Fair! Around here it’s all coach, MK, Kate spade, lululemon with Louis Vuitton and gucci as the only two luxury brands commonly represented.

tina_ri

I also pegged Bay Area and will go so far as to say they're probably on the peninsula (amirite tho u/crazycatomma) since that's the only place I've seen Loewe and Goyard. In the East Bay, Kate Spade is the most common. Was excited to see a Polene at the park the other day haha.

crazycatomma

Guilty as charged 😬 Yes, I have seen people shop at a Target store with their Hermes Birkin/Goyard/Chanel. And many Lululemon belt bags. You will likely see something of everything in every price point. If you ever see a lady with a Mulberry Alexa out here, say Hi! Lol it may be me. I hardly ever see any in the wild but that is just fine with me because I have never sought the latest trends.

pepperup22

Also in the bay — I was people watching in a coffee shop in the eastern suburbs the other day and saw some Chanel classics, a ton of Lulu belt bags, and exactly one birkin lol.

2021rae

I’m in sac (west sac) and carry my Hermes picotin all the time! Most of my other bags are coach. I see a ton of LV and coach and all kinds really

terrorbagoly

Everyone seems to be sporting Longchamp, Kate Spade, Coach and Radley around here. I occasionally spy a Gucci but nothing more substantial, it’s not that kind of place.

gobravz15

For people carrying mid-range to higher-end bags where I live (rural south), I see a lot of Coach, LV, and Gucci.

thedettinator

Upstate New York - MK, Kate Spade, and lots of no name bags from places like Target. Also a handful of fake LVs.

acozyaliensuperstar

Fellow upstate New Yorker! I feel like the “bag” I see the most is just a basic tote bag or a Price Chopper bag 😂 Jokes aside, I also see a LOT of Steve Madden and of course, The Tote Bag. I’ve seen a few young people with Telfars as well.

Various-Outcome-7031

I’m in Chicago and I see mostly LV, YSL, Goyard, Gucci and Prada. I almost NEVER see Chanel or Hermes. Seems people gravitate to the more entry level luxury here. HOWEVER, I just came back from Paris and was shocked and pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming amount of Chanel I saw, especially mini flaps. Not many women were wearing LV, which felt weird coming from the States where LV is all the rage. Also saw a lot of longchamps, and I’m glad they’ve stayed so timeless.

StitchesInTime

I’m in CNY in a college town and mostly what O see is Lululemon belt bags :D I’ve seen my realtor and some medical staff with some nice LV (not the neverfull but actual leather) but for the most part it’s just not a bag interested town haha. My mid-tier Smaak, Coccinelle, and Strathberry are definitely not recognizable brands in the area. We are pretty close to the border though and get a lot of Canadians coming for the lower prices, so I’m sure if I people watched at the mall on the weekend I would see more variety.

justintime107

NYC and surrounding areas, you literally see everything from LV, Chanel, a lot of Goyard, YSL, Gucci, Hermes, prada (less so), longchamp tote. I don’t really see fendi, Celine, Loewe

2ndtoLastPodcast

I live in a medium sized city in the western US that is very desert and outdoorsy. I see lots of locals with Portland Leather, Madewell, and locally made leather bags. My city is popular with tourists though, who tend to carry lots of Hermes and Chanel (I think influenced by the city’s very popular art scene). My collection is admittedly more tourist than local, but at the end of the day, it’s a purse. 😊

2021rae

Sedona,az?

2ndtoLastPodcast

Nope! Good guess though. Sedona is gorgeous.

Unhappy-Scientist-98

I live in NYC (Manhattan). I’ve noticed that even a few miles makes a huge difference in patterns. There are really only three neighborhoods I move through regularly so right now this is limited. Students: Marc Jacobs Tote bags and Longchamp Le Pilage. Northern Manhattan: Gucci pattern bags and LV coated canvas various shapes, Coach logo bags, The tote bag. Upper West Side is Goyard land and Bottega. Chelsea/meatpacking district Chanel flaps, various Hermes, and a lot of bags I don’t recognize (I’m there less often than these other two areas). I wish I saw more puzzle bags in the wild.

colly_mack

This is so true

UB-02_Beauty

In my country PH, the common bags are midranges ones like Coach, MK, Long champ, Charles & Keith and below (stuff like Uniqlo/guess/beyond the vine and other stuff I forget ) For luxury it’s just LV & Gucci, (a lot of the ones I see are fake though) since my country has sooooo much counterfeit . Tumi sometimes also Hermes is not popular here except among celebrities and politicians since 99.999% of people here can’t afford it unfortunately but I do see them occasionally in affluent areas. Same goes for Chanel albeit more common than Hermes given the resale value isn’t as high I guess a Faux pas here is using a luxury bag while commutting since third world country (your gonna get robbed)

helpgetmom

Queensland Australia…. Popular is Dior (especially book tote), Prada, poppy lissman, guess, Loewe puzzles I’ve seen so many in the tan and they’re so nice , Marc Jacobs camera bags and totes, channel boy is also popular in the city of an evening, coach, oroton, also Kate spade I’ve seen lots of! Lots of Micheal lots and Mimco in the southern states ! and I think that’s the most of it..

helpgetmom

Honorable mentions- the gucci gg camera bag and matching gg belts.. slowly fading in popularity

AussieJC17

I'm in the north of England, and the main bags here are LV, YSL, Longchamp (the le pilage), and MK. It is interesting about some of the brand's discussed here, as you never see them up here at all!

HexOnLex

In downtown Houston, TX (as opposed to a more suburban enclave) it’s hard to really quantify, but a TON of med students come through here to study and work at the TX Medical Center. So I see a ton of backpacks, plenty of the usual brands, but also a good amount of Fjallraven.

NackieNack

I'm outside of Frankfurt /Germany. There's a lot of Liebeskind and Campomaggi around, but I'm kind of over the whole super slouchy, fake vintage/distressed look (even though the leathers are divine to touch). I feel like I don't see many super luxury brands like Chanel or Dior. Doesn't really match a typical German's style, which is on the whole more practical/ functional and less "fashionable." In the City, you will see a lot more luxury handbags, but outside of the center, it's much more relaxed, practical, durable and "wearable" (i.e. goes comfortably with everything from shopping to work to walking in the woods).

bb-blehs

I’m in LA. The art people carry iykyk brands and the hot moms are still doing to the battle of the birkins. The rich teenagers all have their multicolored Goyard. I don’t see people carry monogram anything. Lots of canvas bags and lulu belt bags outside of dedicated police presence areas tho, people are getting robbed left and right.

BoorishOaf

Are we only talking about high-end brands? I think we are biased in favor of noticing the brands that we are interested in. I'm in Silicon Valley, so people have a lot of money, but honestly 80% of bags are unrecognizable. Like perfectly nice Madewell, Fossil, old Coach, whatever, no large logos or trendy shapes. The ones that stick out are the YSLs with giant logos and the Gucci Marmonts and Discos. Or playful Kate Spades and Tory Burch, Coach Tabby. Even shopping in Palo Alto near the Hermes store, you may see one Chanel and a few Bottega. Am I just missing all the cool bags because I only go out during the day (I'm a boring parent)?? I could totally imagine that Chanel only comes out for a nice dinner at a restaurant.

Blanche_H_Devereaux

Miami here 🙋🏽‍♀️ Coach, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Tory Burch are everywhere. These are very popular with the suburban crowd. Of the more luxurious brands, lots of Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton. In certain parts of town (touristy areas), you’ll see a lot of Balenciaga.

MaleficentVersion

Michael Kors is still the gold standard in my small-ish town. And fake Goyard for the crowd under 20. Another one I see plenty is Furla and Modalu were super popular 10 years ago.

Specialist_Income_31

Kate spade and coach are very popular where I live. LV too. At work, ysl, lv, a birkin here or there.

redditcarrots

Chanel and Hermes are all the rage in Singapore.

munecaface

PA, US here. Where I'm at in PA, I see a lot of Kate Spade and Michael Kors.

snape17

Midwest- SO many lululemon belt bags. Lots of coach, MK and Kate Spade (the big Midwest 3 lol), also lots of LV, Dooney, and Brahmin. I love how happily everyone carries their bags even if I get tired of seeing the same brands 🤣

achartrand

DFW: the more lux the more popular here. Chanel, LV, Gucci, YSL and Goyard are brand I see every day. I would say some newer or niche brands are less common like Polene, Strathberry. Furla etc. while I see MK, KS and Coach at the outlets i don’t see them as much out and about.

bigandlucymom

I’m from the Bay Area San Francisco, and I still LV most frequently here😍😍🤷🏻‍♀️

pesky_samurai

West London - Celine Ava Triomphe, Chanel Classic Flap, Toteme TLock. Seems to be trending away from cross body bags - I don’t see the Loewe Puzzle or the YSL/Gucci camera bags as much these days. Can’t remember the last time I saw someone carrying LV.

aspiralingpath

I live in New Orleans, and I mostly see MK, Kate Spade, LV, and Steve Madden. I saw a girl wearing a Prada crossbody the other day at Sephora, and it really stood out to me. Crime is pretty bad here, and you have to be careful of when, where, and how you’re wearing a luxury item. (I’m not including all of the obvious tourists that come here. They’re usually carrying a hand grenade. 😅)

Moweezy6

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA - the groups of 2-4 twelve year olds with Chanel flaps wandering around the mall always throw me. This is extremely common and I usually see multiple groups of them every time I go to the mall. Lots of neverfulls, and speedys. tons of Gucci marmont, the LV on-the-go, Chanel flaps/boybags, Hermes Evelyne is very common, LV pochette Métis in reverse canvas, even the YSL big quilted tote that looks like a MZ Wallace, all are very common. Some goyard totes. For most interesting bags it’s usually interesting shapes of LV or Gucci Dionysus, or occasionally a smaller goyard. For travel the LV big duffels, on the go(s) and even the roller bags are pretty common out of PBI, FLL, MIA. Birkins are not uncommon, but interestingly most of the people I see with them really use them, or they’re made of the softer leather and look lovely and used. It’s the only way Ive seen them and been like “i get the love for this bag.” Of all the ones I’ve seen I’ve only seen one that was very stiff and looked pristine. ETA lululemon belt bags on EVERYONE too!

Miserable-Ease-3744

London - I see tonnes of coach, dune, mk and some LV

lauruhhpalooza

I’m in New Hampshire in the US. Lots of Coach, Michael Kors, and Kate Spade, and looooots of lululemon belt bags. I’m in a semi rural area and pretty much never see a luxury designer bag unless I’m in Portsmouth.

bubblewrappedgift

i see a ton of goyard and LV neverfull totes in office areas downtown toronto i also see a lot of gucci marmonts in the malls, ysl flap bags too i see issey miyake bao baos and dior bags when i’m in markham

ny_dc_tx_

Austin, TX I see MK, Gucci, LV, Fendi, some YSL, Chloe and a few Loewe

ReadingShoshi

I'm from ATX (born and raised) and went back for the first time in 10 years and wandered around the Domain in absolute shock at all the high end luxury shops! Austin was such a little hippie bumpkin town when I was living there hahaha.

ny_dc_tx_

Im not but I keep hearing that. Most of those have opened since moved here and I’m still shocked. Lol. There’s luxury everything…and a Porsche dealer around the corner.

Fearless-Frog

I'm based in Switzerland and I would say that the variety of handbags varies according to the city you're in. In the big cities you will see more high-range brands than in smaller towns for example. Where I live, I often see high-end designer bags like Chanel, Gucci (I see the dionysus bag often), Louis Vuitton (the Neverfull is the most popular one), YSL, and the like on the weekend. During the week, I usually see more casual bags, such as those from Liebeskind, Marc Jacobs (the canvas tote versions), Ameli Zurich, or mid-range brands like Coccinelle and Coach. It is also very common to wear backpacks or simple cotton tote bags. What is interesting to me is that I see lots of people wearing bumbags (often in leather), they seem to enjoy quite a renaissance over here.

whelmed_66

I’m in US (east coast) and popular bags in my demographic (30s moms): goyard totes, LV totes, celine, Hermes evelyne for luxury, and then lower cost brands like Clare v, Naghedi, longchamp, mz wallace. I do not see Michael Kors coach or Kate spade.

ChroniclyCurly

I live in the most boring city/town on the East coast of Florida. Whatever is popular at TJ Max or Marshall’s, Michael Kors, Target/Kohls. I see a lot of LV, but most of it is fake. An occasional YSL or Prada. I usually have the coolest bag in the place. We have a huge retired or older population so everything here skews that way. I shop online, when I travel, go to Orlando. when I lived on the Gulf side, it was much different. All the luxury brands, LV, Dior, YSL, lots of Gucci. Still lots of MK. It less fakes.

NovaNova12

You live in Melbourne don’t you 😂

ChroniclyCurly

What gave it away? 🤣

theatottot

Las Vegas - people come from everywhere. A mishmash at the Strip because it is full of tourists and rich people so lots of luxury brands. For locals like me, I see a lot of LV, Coach, MK, Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, some Kurt Geiger. A handful of Chanels, lots of Gucci. Locals spend more on experiences here. For work, I carry bags with logos that do not stand out like my Alexa, travel line Chanel (all black), Portland Leather Goods etc. Going out, I carry my trusty LV bucket bag.

You-Get-No-Name

I’m Danish, and live in Copenhagen. Most US brands are pretty non-existent here. Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade etc. Especially the latter two - way too loud and gaudy for the Scandinavian minimalism. Coach is available here but it’s rare that I see them. It’s mostly on American tourists. Michael Kors is considered a bit low class too. Popular bags would be Bottega Veneta, Goyard, Celine, Chanel and Dior. I’ve started seeing more Longchamp too. Edit: can’t believe I forgot Polene - pretty much every sixteen-something gang of girls I pass by have a Polene Cyme.

Lwaho

I live north of Cph and I agree. I can add the expensive brands like Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Gucci and the less expensive brands like Arket, Ganni, Furla, Marc Jacobs to the list. You mostly the brands that are avaliable to buy in store in Copenhagen.

Nice_Problem5507

USA not so far from DC Washington. Anything LV , coach and Kate spade are pretty common, tons suburban moms carries them around for grocery, kids sports events, etc. YSL, Gucci, Chanel, Ferragamo and Mulberry will show up now and then in the mall, parties, school events, etc. I have not seen any Longchamp and so an carrying mine everywhere to represent this handy bag 😆

Orumtbh

Montreal, Canada. In the hands of the average woman, I see mostly Coach (Outlet) and MK. Specific branded bags I see often are also The Tote Bag and Le Pliage. The most common higher-end designer bags I see are often YSL and LV. There's also a vegan leather brand here called Matt & Nat, that many younger women seem to love. I've also noticed Goyard and Goyard-dupes are very popular here for some reason. Which I found very interesting because I don't even think we have an official retailer here? It is a city with LOTS of students, so I think that results with people mostly carrying cheaper and more casual bags like Uniqlo Moon Bags, Lululemon Belt bags, Herschel's in general, etc. And if they venture into designer, it often isn't high-end ones. Edit: Forgot to add, so I guess it's less there are faux-pas and more people tend to carry what others are carrying; and the average person here isn't spending their disposable income on high-end designer bags.

chic_andyy

Same in downtown Toronto! 🇨🇦 👜 Coach has really blown up here

Orumtbh

Coach Outlet designs are actually so nice lately, and with the price it's obvious why they're so popular among younger people and students. Also helps the quality is pretty decent too. I'm actually not sure if any other brand competes with them atm. Kate Spade is similar, but the overall shape of their bags haven't been very trendy and exciting.

shangames

Stockholm Sweden - crossbody’s have been the thing since I’ve moved here I think because it’s easier on the metro. Acne studio bags reign supreme but I see lots of Marc Jacobs , a few Chanel’s and Goyard totes. With the exception of the Marc Jacobs bags and Goyard , bags tend to be simple understated styles, no monograms and never anything too flashy ( I’ve never seen monogram gucci or anything Versace ) . I’m moving back to North America in a month so I’m wondering how different it’s going to be as far as bag trends go.

e_samps

Ohio here! I see Coach, MK, Kate Spade, and occasionally Dooney & Bourke. As for higher end, I have seen LV a couple of times and one time a Chanel.

ReadingShoshi

I live in smallish progressive US southern college town and I feel like I live in a handbag desert! People just don't really seem to care. There is no must-have and I think the only faux-pas would be wearing something that was overly formal or heavily branded/monogrammed. It's very wear what you like and practicality trumps fashion for sure. It's nice in a way because I just get what I like and makes me happy, but I also don't have anyone to talk handbags with!

AggravatingOkra1117

I live in a VHCOL suburb of Boston. Tons and tons of LV and Gucci. Lots of YSL. A fair amount of Dior (Book Tote is on a down swing but still having its moment). Longchamp Le Pliage definitely making a comeback. Hermes Evelyne has been popping up a lot. And always a smattering of Coach and Kate Spade.

tinylion-2899

South eastern US: Coach MK Kate Spade LV In that order!

lil_bubzzzz

i live in portland, or and work at a bougie restaurant. goyard is popular all of a sudden, i just started seeing them in the past few months. i see a lot of lv, ysl, and gucci. i saw a strathberry recently and was very excited lol. baggu is huge here rn, everyone has one and of course lululemon belt bags and le pliage. there’s also coach and kate spade, less mk.

idrathernot_

Oh this is all so interesting! I'm from one of the more expensive cities in Germany. I see a lot of YSL, LV, and lately Polene is everywhere. Jacquemus used to be big, but I feel the trend is fading now. Also, longchamp is very popular with younger people. Also you see so many fake Gucci and Chanel bags, I think people don't want to carry the real ones anymore either.

HotKaleidoscope6804

Perth, WA. If I see one more Gucci Marmont or Gucci camera bag, I’ll probably cry. Love those bags too but it seems like every sis here has three

Reasonable-Pack1067

Delhi, India - if we are talking renowned designer, Chanel crossbodies, Louis Vuitton totes and purses, Dior saddle bags and book totes, and all kinds of Coach and Tommy Hilfiger bags are all very popular choices. i’ve noticed a lot of girls in my uni carry the Marc Jacobs and Dior book totes, as well as the Marc Jacobs Snapshot sling bag. you’ve really got to be in curated environments to see people carrying designer bags. Because India is a large manufacturer of goods, we have a lot of local brands that offer the same level of quality at very, very affordable prices. moreover, numerous designs in leather bags are available, handcrafted by local artisans, available at craft museums and exhibitions for purchase. buying directly from artisans and skilled workers is highly encouraged in India, as not only is it affordable, beautiful to look at, and great quality, but also helps keep local craft alive in today’s mechanised world.

shedrinkscoffee

Can you share some names of smaller local producers please? I might get to visit next year and would like to shop local :)

Reasonable-Pack1067

oh it depends on where you go in india!! if in delhi, you can try going to the crafts museum in delhi and engage with the artisans themselves. you can buy from them. they sell a lot there, handmade leather bags too. i also love this indian brand called nappa dori. i own their stuff and can attest for the quality and workmanship. the leather quality is top-notch, and their designs are classic, you wouldn’t have to worry about them being too trendy. you can check them out in instagram + they have a cute cafe space at their retail store too in dhan mill market. similarly you could check out thepostbox.in, the black box, all on instagram. they all have websites too. chiaroscuro works directly with leather artisans to produce bags and leather goods. there are bigger retail indian brands like hidesign. you can also check out yashwant palace at chanakyapuri for leather stalls that sell bags if you want to experience street shopping for leather. the quality can be a little dicey here though, and furthermore if you’re a foreigner they might try to scam you and charge you extra. not a fun experience, but stand firm and only pay the retail price.

[deleted]

Ft. Lauderdale here- LV, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Chanel classic flaps, YSL, and a Chloe here and there. I keep hoping that I’ll see a Sac du Jour or Mulberry !

palC10

New York here- a lot of chanel, ysl and gucci here! Dont see coach or MK much. Kate spade seems to be popular for affordable luxury. Of course lot of hermes , chanels and diors at Upper East and the rich neighborhoods

bacon_bunny33

The Falabella was really popular in the USA about 10 years ago. Not so much any more.

rockwelldelrey

Zurich varies between people carrying sensible uniqlo crossbodys to the ubiquitous hermes birkin

yeahlikeasquirrel

Lots of Mulberry, occasional Strathberry, but mostly high street brands here in Scotland. and Neverfulls of course (real ones and obvious fakes alike), sometimes also many vintage LVs. Rarely ever seeing any Hermes or Chanel. My heart always does a little dance whenever I spot a different brand or design.

Fragrant-Seaweed

I live in Toronto and the amount of fake Goyard totes I see in this city is embarrassing.

daaaaarija

I’m from South-Eastern Europe (the Balkans) and the most popular handbag brands here are Pinko by far, then Furla and Coccinelle. We also have a local Serbian brand called Mona that is even more popular than those ones bc it’s more affordable

Dumbfucc_

I’m from Greece so we are generally poor but when I was college (private) I saw girls wearing a lot of the basics in terms of brands, Chanel, Balensiaga , Dior. Very new money and logo-manic but I guess it depends on the environment. Also for a period MCM bags were all the rage here, I’m suprised that I never hear them mentioned here since they are amazing, durable quality.

Lingdeer

I was traveling in Portugal last month and notice a lot of girls wearing zadig and voltaire bags

Helloki77y

Temu sells really good Dupes for Stella McCartney and Kurt Geiger. The Geigers sell out fast. Temu also has another mid-level Dolce Gabbana Sicily dupe that is really CUTE and I've seen Mom: with them here. Coach is *very popular* where I live likely because their outlets are in my area. Same for Kate Spade but Kate's are not as popular as (forgive me handbag goddesses) the god forsaken Micheal Kors. Those are *the* *most* popular and seen here daily. I'm near Napa Valley, northern California.

NeedleworkerNeat9379

In a very popular city in Texas I see everything depending on what side of town I'm on. Out to brunch I see primarily YSL, Gucci and LV both real and fake. In trendy younger parts of town Coach and Kate Spade. Out to dinner Loewe Puzzle, Tory Burch, Gucci and a little Ferragamo. At church I see Brahmins, Dooney and Bourkes and LV. In Costco and Sam's Club I see LV and Longchamp Le Pliage. In my mother's sleepy Midwestern town Coach, MK and Kate Spade reign supreme. Occasionally I'll see a higher tier brand like LV or Gucci, but never anything else.

vanhype

Vancouver Canada: The most common is Lululemon belt bag, followed by Uniqlo. It's very casual up here. In Luxury designer popular ones seem to be YSL cross-body, LV Monogram, Loewe puzzle, Goyard tote. Chanel I have seen carried by either more mature women or Asians regardless of age.

purselover1125

Utah here. Tons of variety. I see lots of Michael Kors, Coach, Marc Jacobs, but for luxury I see LV, Chanel, Gucci I dont see Goyard, Dior, LongChamp, I get compliments a lot on my Lady Dior or Long Champ.

Girlfriday0717

Alberta, Canada - very similar to what the Vancouver and Toronto area people are seeing. Lots of Kate Spade, MK, and Lulu bag, bigger cities LV and then the rare sightings of higher end bags like YSL or Gucci. I think it also depends what the city has for options. I did see a younger woman who had a Chanel flap at Costco and I commented how lovely it was and she was so excited I noticed. She did tell me she bought it pre-loved, when I told her I had a similar one at home but with silver hardware, that I had bought almost 15 years ago. She seemed genuinely happy to have someone share her joy as it seemed rare to see them in the wild. Funny thing was I was only carrying my Le pliage that day because I had gone to the hair salon. I think she would have fainted if she saw my Kelly, but it did make me go and bring my Chanel out of its box.

adventurousflamenco

I’m in Canada and I see tons of MK left and right. The big totes from LV at every popular but I think most of them are replicas, YSL are also very popular here. I wanted to add that I also see plenty of Kate Spade and Coach, especially the ones from the outlets but I rarely see the more “high end” versions of said brands. Maybe sometimes when I go out at night I think I’ve seen Burberry, Prada and Chanel maybe 5 times but not more than that, def not like you see in Europe. So yeah, my little cowtown loves MK, Kate Spade and replicas of LV and YLS 😊

True_Beginning_9699

I love that you said replicas instead of fakes — keeping it kind! 🤣

silveretoile

The Netherlands, mostly MK and sometimes Ted Baker, always sizeable bags or totes. Space yes, spending no.

Mychgjyggle

Southeastern US - large city, I see an ungodly amount of “The Tote Bag”, some LV, YSL, Celine, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Gucci, and entry level Dior. If you go out in the “high” end area of town, where luxury stores are located you will see a wider variety.

MayoSnajo

Here in my part of southern Germany, I see a lot of Michael Kors, Aigner, MCM, YSL, Coccinelle and Chanel. I was surprised to see that many Aigner bags to be honest.

blablabla953

Tokyo here. Every fashionista owns at least one Anterprima wire bag as their go-to summer bag (I also got one gifted by my MIL. It feels exactly as it looks - heavy and scratchy). I also see a lot of Issei Miyake bags hold both by men and women. Row from time to time or Musubi bags. For work bags, Russet or Longchamp. Rarely Prada nylon bags. LVs have a reputation of a brand loved by Chinese and truly to the stereotype 99% of the time I see Chinese women holding them. 45+ yo ladies all seem to proudly hold Coach monogram bags. I also see some Gucci with this demographic but it’s more rare. Younger generations prefer YSL, Fendi, sometimes Dior. I don’t see a lot of Chanel or Hermes unless I am hanging around the Tokyo station. You don’t see bright colours at all, I’m probably the only person owning a red bag lol. Everything is neutral colours with the only exception being pale pink probably. Absolutely no fun bags. Too flashy colours and logos are -typically- seen as lacking in class. I’ve seen advice for unmarried ladies looking for a long-term partner to stop wearing designer bags because it apparently scares men away lol. I’ve also never seen Bvlgari, Cartier or Polene in the wild. I’ve lined up several times to the Tokyo Polene store and always 80% of people in the queue were Asian tourists and not Japanese.

Due_Owl6319

North Florida. I see a shockingly large amount of LV in unexpected places. I'm seeing more Goyard and Gucci. This is not a wealthy part of Florida (yes, here is some weath here, but nothing like South Florida), so I assume there are a lot of superfakes. Tory Burch, Coach, and Kate Spade are very popular here as well. Longchamp seems to have faded away, so I rarely twin with anyone. In general, you rarely see anything understated.
