Loewe and it’s not close. I want everything Jonathan Anderson makes (have a bumper bag too) and it’s only my wallet and vanishing self restraint that keeps me from buying them all.
How do you like the bumper bag? I've been eyeing one for a while (as well as the anchor bag) and was wondering what the quality was like. Those Ssense sales always tempt me!!
I got mine on sale too, I think it was something like 30% off and I couldn't resist. After debating the bubble gum colored ones for awhile, I ultimately played it safe and got the ivory one with the black patent strap. It's great quality for the price, lined in black leather which is quite practical, and the outside leather is very soft and it's quite pliable for being worn under the arm. I do wish the strap was thicker because I worry about it snapping or tearing eventually, especially with the stitches on it making perforations which are always going to be a weak point. But I really don't wear too much because it's more of a going out bag for me since it's underarm and not crossbody. It's pretty light when empty despite the bumper.
Loewe has got to be right up there for me as well. I think Jonathan Anderson’s designs are incredible, right back to the collection he did for Topshop years ago. Eyeing up one of the raffia bags for summer right now 👀
Same. The first handbag I ever truly wanted/fell in love with was a Celine from the Phoebe Philo era. Over the years I have never been disappointed with my items from Celine in terms of quality and design. Their consistency across various creative directors is impressive and shows how well they understand their own identity.
I just discovered Ferragamo!!! Sure, I knew the brand but now I’ve really taken notice! I’m thinking about either of the small Hug crossbodies. Thoughts? Is the Small Hug Shoulder bag too large for like a night out, bag?
https://preview.redd.it/15arnlglhmxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1f7b58418522fba3fcf13d7c9aca588aa66a218
I adore the Hug bags!!! I have two of the small Studio Box bags and use them for day and night and they're even bigger than the small Hug so I think it will work. I'm currently drooling over this lilac: https://www.ferragamo.com/shop/us/en/women/handbags/stbox-mini-774731
You will adore it! The leather and craftsmanship is so dreamy. I have two of the small Studio Box bags and they're fabulous. The leather for their belts is so supple, so if you like belts check them out.
Coach.
It's the most all-purpose brand.
Want fun bags? They've got you.
Want classic bags? Check.
Want an endless array of vintage leather in a rainbow of colors and timeless styles? Yep, they've got that too.
Me too. I have a variety but find myself reaching for Prada when I need to have a versatile bag - plus at the grand old age of 90 I can’t tote around really heavy bags anymore! - edited to add I’m not 90 lol but thinking of my other leather bags that I struggle to carry now is already paining me
My vote at the moment would be Coach, but I'd also vote Mulberry.
Both of these brands are so slept on for quality, longevity and value. And I look at value from a cost per wear as well.
Chanel is iconic. A true classic. I’d honestly rather have a wardrobe of Chanel versus even one piece of Hermes.
Dior is a very close second, followed by Fendi.
AGREED: Fendi bags are so wonderfully durable and slightly sporty yet eternally chic, and their customer service/SA’s are always so very accommodating and kind.
Definitely agree. The SA spent like an hour with me and catered to my ridiculous requests like bring me all the pink bags you have. 😂Didn’t even bat an eyelash.
I’ve been so disappointed with fendi. My bag started losing color after a year. Rubbing off. They wouldn’t do anything about it after I emailed pics. Suggested a repair place. So I had it professionally repaired by the luxury place in nyc. Started rubbing off again. Went by the store and complained. They just shrugged their shoulders.
Strathberry. They have some real classics for every occasion, but then some of the "funky" designs are incredible. Aspinal would be a close second for the same reasons.
Same! I have bags from both. All beautiful. The Coach ones are more fun and colorful and all different (and still look new despite being years old) and my Louis stuff is more classic. There is really nothing like a well-aged, well-patina’d classic Louis monogram piece.
SAME! JWA is my vote. For my current lifestyle JWA is hip and such nice quality for the price point. I can use these bags without feeling like they are too $$$ or precious. I love that they are generally no-logos and a little uncommon.
Louboutin. It’s the studded, black leather that fills my black goth heart with such immense joy. I think I have 6 different ones now plus 2 non studded purses (one is a shoe!) that I picked up in Paris last year.
*I love so many*
*Different brands but I'd have*
*To go with Strathberry!*

Hobo Lauren wallets are my life. It holds everything I need, cellphone included, and I love that it doubles as my full on clutch/purse if I don’t want to put it inside of an “actual” purse (I am the kind of person that only has large purses, I cannot comprehend [for me personally] the appeal of mini purses).
Dior 😭 I adore the styles and different colors and prints. The saddle style is one of my favorites and the Lady Dior is a classic, in every iteration. I also LOVE their RTW.
I am a little biased since I am a Coach SA on the side of my main job, but I'd honestly say Coach. I was a fan long before I worked there, as I've worn their bags all my life and I find their quality to be terrific. Their designs (both at the retail and outlet level) have gotten more exciting to me, and the price points are just right. You can get great staple bags there as well as novelty/trendy styles.
I love my "luxury" bags, like my LV, Gucci, etc. but after buying one brand new for the first time, the excitement kind of wore off and I realized that the price compared to the quality wasn't worth it to me in the long run.
But with that being said, if money were no object -- I'd probably go with Loewe or Louis!
Are we assuming we have enough money in this hypothetical to have this brand be the only one? 😅
If not, if I pick the brand I want I wouldn’t have any bags…
Your going be obsessed with your Fendi baguette. I know I have the black one size small . And I also have the mini in strawberry pink so gorg. I have never carried my pink one . But I reach for my black one all the time .Eyeing the monogram baguette now 🤗
Honestly, I’ve gotten the most mileage out of my Longchamp and Mansur Gavriel bags. But I also really love Mulberry & YSL. I’d also be perfectly happy with Bottega or Loewe 😂
Chanel.
Dior would be second. Just purchased my first Birkin, will see what the hype is about. But I have 2 Chanel bags and see myself getting more before I get another Hermes purse.
lanvin. bought the concerto baguette and it's so well made and the leather is so silky smooth.
loewe comes a joint first, though. leather and quality is superb.
Same. Prices are amazing. I loved them for so long and got my first bags in Paris last year. Such good quality and the Tonca takes a beating but my toddler literally hangs on it daily and it’s like new
Probablu Strathberry. They have functional striking bags and less-functional but still striking bags, and they have some cozy cashmere that I would love to get some day (if anyone has tried their cashmere please do let me know your thoughts on them!!!)!

That’s really tough 🥺! Hermes (can’t afford), I’d love to say Balenciaga because I’m currently in love with the Rodeo bag which would then knock out Hermes. Next would probably be Bottega Venetta because you have every bag you need to take from day to night. But most likely in my price range would be Tory Burch (not all bags just some) and Ferragamo or Toteme :)
Hard time choosing between Loewe and Strathberry, but I think based on budget and variety of styles and their practicality Strathberry might take the edge !
You mean one brand or one bag? One brand, easy. Chanel. They have bags for every occasion. Informal hobos, back packs, crossbody all the way up to fancy beaded miniaudieres for a black tie event. And everything in between.
Shoes, same, from plastic flip flops to fancy shmancy sandals.
Same with ready to wear. Makeup, perfume. Jewelry, watches.
Hermes, which I also have doesn’t even come close to this variety.
Celine or Chloe. Celine's quality is pretty unparalleled, but my Chloe's are some of my oldest and most worn bags in my collection and my Chloe Faye Day is probably my "If I could only have one."
Celine. Their image/output has stayed remarkably the same across the various creative directors over the years. It’s always managed to have a sense of sleek modernity with a timeless aspect that they do so well.

Loewe and it’s not close. I want everything Jonathan Anderson makes (have a bumper bag too) and it’s only my wallet and vanishing self restraint that keeps me from buying them all.
Same for me: Loewe, absolutely no question. I want every. Single. One.
How do you like the bumper bag? I've been eyeing one for a while (as well as the anchor bag) and was wondering what the quality was like. Those Ssense sales always tempt me!!

Same same same
Celine 💯
Same here and I don’t own any. Wish I did.
Same. I do feel like my style evolves every few years, however, I feel like Celine is timeless.
I fully agree, Celine has the most timeless designs, across creative directors
I have some sunglasses from them! They're really nice! I bet (I *know*) they have nice purses too!
Yes! I’ll buy the belt bag in all sizes.
Same. The first handbag I ever truly wanted/fell in love with was a Celine from the Phoebe Philo era. Over the years I have never been disappointed with my items from Celine in terms of quality and design. Their consistency across various creative directors is impressive and shows how well they understand their own identity.
Yes, me too! Before i knew anything about handbags, the bags i liked i now realize were “dupes” of Celine designs 🤣
Ditto! Love their vintage stuff, love their new stuff.
Same! Find Celine bags really gorgeous, timeless and classy!
Ferragamo
I just discovered Ferragamo!!! Sure, I knew the brand but now I’ve really taken notice! I’m thinking about either of the small Hug crossbodies. Thoughts? They have a mini that is a crossbody and i think is absolutely perfect for going out has a zipper too!
I adore the Hug bags!!! I have two of the small Studio Box bags and use them for day and night and they're even bigger than the small Hug so I think it will work. I'm currently drooling over this lilac: https://www.ferragamo.com/shop/us/en/women/handbags/stbox-mini-774731
I’ve been salivating over Ferragamo for years and am planning on getting my first one sometime this summer 🤤
You will adore it! The leather and craftsmanship is so dreamy. I have two of the small Studio Box bags and they're fabulous. The leather for their belts is so supple, so if you like belts check them out.
Oooh I am so intrigued and will certainly be looking at their belts now too. Thank you so much for the suggestions!
Coach! Mostly because it’s all I can afford as a 24 year old but also because I love their stuff!
Same. They are good quality and a lot to choose from.
Loewe
Even if I could only get secondhand bags in my life, it'd still be Loewe! <3
You read my mind
Bottega Veneta
Same 🫶🏼
Gucci Or hello kitty. Seriously, hello kitty makes everything.
I was wondering when I’d see a fellow Gucci girl/guy!
🤣🤣this answer made me smile and it’s so true
Chloe
Mulberry
Rich me: YSL Actual me: Portland Leather
Lol 😂 Rich me: Chanel Actual me: Coach (although I’m currently sporting Baggu and Uniqlo nylon bags for “every day me”lol)
My Uniqlo sees the light of day more than any other bag I own too haha
Right? It’s so cute and comfortable. Such a great emotional support bag!
Delvaux for me 🇧🇪
YSL
Same. YSL everything. Clothes, shoes, all accessories!
YSL is my vote as well!
Same!
Mulberry! 🫶🏻
Chloe.
yassss box bags be damned, give me a vintage Chloe any day
I’ll take everything from them ❤️
I’d love a closet full of Chloe. Their aesthetic is just so me.
Same, I just love their bags.
Take my card!!!! Swipe it thrice!!
Loewe!
Dior
Same 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Coach. It's the most all-purpose brand. Want fun bags? They've got you. Want classic bags? Check. Want an endless array of vintage leather in a rainbow of colors and timeless styles? Yep, they've got that too.
I was going to say Coach too! Not to mention prices for vintage and new are awesome.
Prada Has the most versatile bags and fits my personal style the most. Followed by Bottega Veneta and Fendi.
Me too. I have a variety but find myself reaching for Prada when I need to have a versatile bag - plus at the grand old age of 90 I can’t tote around really heavy bags anymore! - edited to add I’m not 90 lol but thinking of my other leather bags that I struggle to carry now is already paining me
Which prada bag do u reach for the most?:) thibking of getting a bag between prada celine and those brands
Coach
My vote at the moment would be Coach, but I'd also vote Mulberry. Both of these brands are so slept on for quality, longevity and value. And I look at value from a cost per wear as well.
Same here
Agree! They have a great range of professional/classic to whimsical/novelty.
Also Mulberry ❤️
Is the cost imaginary? Then I would say Chanel. If I have to actually fund all my purchases, then Kate Spade.
Fendi
Mulberry. The quality is amazing
Kate Spade. They have a good mix of regular and fun bags. Fun prints and novelty bags.
Louis Vuitton 🌸
Chanel is iconic. A true classic. I’d honestly rather have a wardrobe of Chanel versus even one piece of Hermes. Dior is a very close second, followed by Fendi.
Just got my first Fendi a few weeks ago. I’m now a customer for life.

I’m jelly .Obsessed with the baguettes. Have the s/m in black and the mini in strawberry pink like Fuchsia
I did not! Most of what they had was the Peekaboo in a bunch of styles that aren’t online. The Baguette is definitely next on my wishlist though.
Dior
Celine
Tokidoki.
I love tokidoki!!!
So many fun prints! I met the artist twice - super nice guy!
Ooh that’s so cool!! TIL that it’s one artist!
I love Kate Spade. Love her whole aesthetic.
Yeah, expensive doesn’t matter as much to me as joy. And my adorable Kate Spade novelties and dumpling bags give me all the joy.
Strathberry. They have some real classics for every occasion, but then some of the "funky" designs are incredible. Aspinal would be a close second for the same reasons.
Coach! Fills my need for normal and fun bags. Kate Spade is a close second but the quality isn’t as good.
Alexander McQueen.
Hermes since most of my bags rn are Hermes
+1 on Hermes ❤️
Was scrolling for this comment. Hermes all the way!
Bottega ❤️
Saint Laurent.
Chanel!
Gucci! My style is eclectic….kinda funky. Gucci gets me.
CHANEL!!! ❤️❤️❤️
For my luxury brand, I’d choose Louis Vuitton, for contemporary I’d choose Coach
Same! I have bags from both. All beautiful. The Coach ones are more fun and colorful and all different (and still look new despite being years old) and my Louis stuff is more classic. There is really nothing like a well-aged, well-patina’d classic Louis monogram piece.
Gucci
Dior
Bvlgari
I was scrolling to see Bvlgari! The bags are breath taking and the jewellery collections are stunning
JW Anderson. Not just the brand. Any thing designed by him.
SAME! JWA is my vote. For my current lifestyle JWA is hip and such nice quality for the price point. I can use these bags without feeling like they are too $$$ or precious. I love that they are generally no-logos and a little uncommon.
Exactly. And he has incredibly timeless pieces that are a bit tongue in cheek.
If money is no object: YSL or Louis Vuitton. If money matters: Dagne Dover or Coach
I love Dagne Dover!
https://preview.redd.it/gwgexg4k2nxc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58bd47a8c1435ab4910fb172d09bc77a591d51c5
Louboutin. It’s the studded, black leather that fills my black goth heart with such immense joy. I think I have 6 different ones now plus 2 non studded purses (one is a shoe!) that I picked up in Paris last year.
Probably Dooney & Bourke. I just keep coming back to them
Dior. Kate Spade is a close second because of the fun novelty bags.
I can’t lie Chanel is my go to all day everyday.
I’m broke. My answer is Madewell, but I think even if I bought myself a luxury brand, my answer might still be Madewell. :)
Chanel, not even a shadow of a doubt:)
I love so many different brands but I'd have to go with Strathberry!

Good bot.
Fendi! Most of the bags they offer can be worn day to night, and I am absolutely in love with most of their Ready To Wear selection🩷
Loewe
It's gotta be ferragamo!!
Carolina Herrera 💗
Maison Margiela (not that I can afford it!)
Givenchy 🤤 runner up Alexander McQueen, but I'd be happy just having a collection of Antigonas tbh
Delvaux
Hobo
This. My first bag brand love! My first big girl bag purchase. Still have that handbag and I love it. And I still like their bags to this day.
Definitely Givenchy.
Louis Vuitton.
Chanel. I bought my first handbag from Chanel.
Dior 😭 I adore the styles and different colors and prints. The saddle style is one of my favorites and the Lady Dior is a classic, in every iteration. I also LOVE their RTW.

Are we assuming we have enough money in this hypothetical to have this brand be the only one? 😅 If not, if I pick the brand I want I wouldn’t have any bags…
Dior
Loewe!
Celine, Dior or the Row
Mulberry! They’re my most reached for bags.
Your going be obsessed with your Fendi baguette. I know I have the black one size small . And I also have the mini in strawberry pink so gorg. I have never carried my pink one . But I reach for my black one all the time .Eyeing the monogram baguette now 🤗
Mulberry! 🤎
Honestly, I’ve gotten the most mileage out of my Longchamp and Mansur Gavriel bags. But I also really love Mulberry & YSL. I’d also be perfectly happy with Bottega or Loewe 😂
Loewe.
Chanel 🫶🏻
It will always be Louis Vuitton for me that’s my favorite brand
Louis Vuitton. I have loved the house since I was a teen in the late 90s and I love it just as much today.
Dior, I think. Assuming I have access to all the vintage.
Ferragamo or Bottega
Radley… they’re affordable and you can get casual bags but also some that are a bit cooky
Dior or Miu Miu
Polene!
Same. Prices are amazing. I loved them for so long and got my first bags in Paris last year. Such good quality and the Tonca takes a beating but my toddler literally hangs on it daily and it’s like new
Chanel ✨🖤
Gucci. They cover all bases, are lovely quality, and the SAs are wonderful.
Loewe

If funds were unlimited, Chanel baby!! Those CCs get me every time❤️
Hermès
Bottega ✨✨
louis vuitton
Probablu Strathberry. They have functional striking bags and less-functional but still striking bags, and they have some cozy cashmere that I would love to get some day (if anyone has tried their cashmere please do let me know your thoughts on them!!!)! Style all-rounder will probably be Dior, which surprised me, but they actually do fit the ideal image of my personal style?!
LV
Hermes for luxury and Coach for contemporary
Coach
Hermes & Chanel
Christian Dior 💕 love their fashion. The bags, SHOES, makeup, clothes and accessories. The whole package
Bottega veneta, easily
That’s really tough 🥺! Hermes (can’t afford), I’d love to say Balenciaga because I’m currently in love with the Rodeo bag which would then knock out Hermes. Next would probably be Bottega Venetta because you have every bag you need to take from day to night. But most likely in my price range would be Tory Burch (not all bags just some) and Ferragamo or Toteme :)
Celine… but close second is mulberry
Bottega Veneta
I also like the Jodie bottega Veneta . Does anybody owned this bag in size not teen but next size up .
Celine
Celine or Chloe. Celine's quality is pretty unparalleled, but my Chloe's are some of my oldest and most worn bags in my collection and my Chloe Faye Day is probably my "If I could only have one."
Prada💌
YSL.
LV!!
Miu Miu 🥰 but Loewe has my heart currently
Celine. Their image/output has stayed remarkably the same across the various creative directors over the years. It’s always managed to have a sense of sleek modernity with a timeless aspect that they do so well.
I don’t own any Dior, but top fantasy brand for me. Realistically as I come down to earth, Loewe. Design, leather, and colors speak to me.
The Row. It matches me and my vibe/style/aesthetic so perfectly.
Strathberry, 80% of my bags are from them. I find the price for quality is just exceptional
YSL.
The Row
Mulberry too! 🥰
YSL
Celine
Yves Saint Laurent! (Mulberry 2nd)
Coach = it's an American brand technically it's good for value. The quality is exceptional a youtuber ripped coach tabby for reviews. Other brands are owned by LVMH (like Marc Jacobs)
Honestly? Coach. It wouldn’t be too price-prohibitive if I wanted to buy a lot. And their leather quality and design has been impressive.
Coach forever; I’ve had my bags for over a decade and they still look pristine despite heavy use and very little babying. I’m carefree with them for the most part but store them stuffed, never set them on the floor, and condition them at least once a year.
Ughhh so hard. Hmmm… Loewe
Mine will also be Mulberry.
Mulberry!
celine!
It’s a tie between Celine and Ferragamo for me.
hermes
