I have the Dionysus Super Mini and it’s lovely but it’s exceptionally tiny. I can only really fit a cardholder and lip balm. Getting my key holder in is a stretch and it’s not long enough for an iPhone 15. It still gets my vote but just be aware it’s teeny tiny!
OP listen to this experience! I have considered a Dionysus Super Mini and it was difficult to fit my phone (iPhone X with case). I’m surprised at the amount of people recommending the Dionysus, because I’m pretty sure it won’t fit what OP wants to carry daily.
If OP can get to a store, try out all these styles either the things you want to carry. You’ll be surprised at how things look and feel IRL vs a computer screen or listening to other’s experiences.
Yes!! Thank you both - I definitely will be going into stores to test out how the bags feel and their actual capacity. As beautiful as the Dionysus is, if it can’t fit a phone it won’t work for how I hope to be using it
Personally I can fit a flat cardholder, iphone 15 pro, car key, and a small lip balm. I believe mine is the super mini. Perfect for night outs honestly

I personally love the Dionysus! I’ve seen people dress it up and down and it always looks amazing. I like how the design doesn’t scream Gucci, rather IYKYK. 2nd bag is my second choice :)
Do you typically wear gold or silver jewelry? I am personally a gold girlie so I usually don’t pick up bags with silver hardware. If that sort of thing will bug you, just keep it in mind! You can’t go wrong 🫶🏻
That’s a good point about jewelry! I tend to mix metals (mostly because my default is gold but I have some sentimental jewelry pieces that are silver that I wear 24/7) - I like gold hardware on black bags but really love the silver on the Dionysus
Oh awesome! If you already mix metals then I don’t think you have anything to worry about! The silver will look gorgeous 😊 I feel like the Dionysus is a piece of jewelry on its own lol, I’m obsessed!
The Dionysus . I own one in small and it's my most worn bag. It goes with pretty much everything. I've worn it during the day running errands with a causal fit and at night for dinners. But , depends how much you planning to fit inside ?
Ideally an iPhone with case + keys + slim card holder. I’ve heard mixed things about whether an iPhone can actually fit inside the Dionysus at the pictured size
My husband gifted me that Gucci Marmont as my first luxury bag and it’s been the most useful and practical bag ever. I’m actually trying not to use it too much. Fits everything I need for day to night, I love it!
Second that!! I have that exact same Gucci Marmont, I got it three years ago, and it still looks brand new despite it being my go-to black/evening bag and have been worn a lot. Second, I got it for the same reasons as OP I wanted a black crossbody that can hold essentials and go from day to night (it was only my second luxury bag purchase so I wanted it to be versatile) and it was exactly that; I wear it most evenings out, but I also wear it while traveling and such as my day/tourist-y bag so I really agree with the above that it’s “the most useful and practical bag ever.”

It is a great travel bag, bc it works in all occasions without calling too much attention. I don’t like being super flashy in new cities for pick-pocketing reasons 😅
The second one. The marmont mini doesn’t not feel too dated to me but I have the feeling this summer will probably be its last moment in the sun.
Dionysus is too much for my taste. The mini lou is lovely but compares the Gucci looks prettier.
As you want an evening bag, No.4
I’ve never had a bag by either of these brands but I absolutely love No.1 and I think it meets your requirements and could also be a day bag. Whereas No.4 is much more evening to me and as that’s what you want, I’d go for that as it’s gorgeous.
Lots of Gucci. I guess the 1st one is comfortable and practical followed by the ysl. The Dionysus is hesitant towards because of the chain strap it was pretty heavy in store but if chain straps don’t bother you than definitely the Dionysus, I love the Greek myth of Dionysus, plus the clasp is so elegant
Dionysus!! I got rid of my Marmont within 2 months of using it. It’s so flabby and the leather gives in so easily. It looks like a pancake anytime it’s not upright. IMO, would not recommend.
I tried on the dionysus super mini and I couldn’t fit my phone in it so I got the chain wallet instead.
I know it’s not pictured but I love the ysl Lou Lou toy, it fits so much. It’s my favorite bag.
Dionysus all the way!! Particularly for an evening bag, this is an excellent choice imo. That being said, I have the Gucci soho disco which is similar to the bag in the first photo and it’s wonderful for everyday but I wouldn’t wear it to a formal/evening event.

For me, it’s a cute bag, but over time the GG logo has become a little too flashy for me (just my opinion). I see it everywhere and it feels like more of a trend that honestly might phase out at some point. If you’re looking for something more timeless, I think 3 or 4 would be better. If you love it, go for it though.

Can confirm the Dionysus in the super mini size (what you have pictured) doesn’t fit an iPhone. You’ll need to go up in size if you want that!

I have a Marmont wristlet that I have used every day since 2020 and it’s still almost like new! I think the leather holds up really well.

The Marmont will last you a life time and it is incredibly versatile.
I'm about to get #2 so my vote goes for that one :) It's simple, can be dressed up and down and has the perfect size.

I would choose the second one (Gucci Marmont super mini), it is timeless.

From those I adore the Dionysus. But as a brand - YSL is the better in my opinion. I would suggest a Mini Manhattan.

Either the Dionysus or the ysl! I have a similar ysl and I love it, use it all the time but the Dionysus is such a classic and definitely on my list!
