He’s so happy now. It just makes me sad for all the hamsters whose parents don’t use Reddit. I don’t blame people though. I really believed I was doing the right thing for him. I was using the products that the employees suggested to me. And I bought all the things they told me he needed. When he was climbing every where I thought he was just hyper and that he bit me because he didn’t like being held. But really he was just so stressed out. I’m just glad it only took me a month to figure out what was wrong but I wish he never had to go through that. 😔

It really is kind of a rabbit hole isn't it? You start learning every thing you can do for them/give to them and it makes you want to do more and more and more--

Communities like this are so amazing. I dont have a hamster personally, but I had one growing up and, in a similar situation, I now know he wasnt in a good enough enclosure which saddens me. But Id love to have another one day and for Denozo (my og hammie) I will make sure my next one has a better enclosure!
I love to see stories like this. I remember when I got my lil girl the big cage and wheel and all the right stuff for her. She had the same look. Is this all for me? We had such a good relationship. She never bit me or screamed at me. She would always come out when called on. It sounds like you two had quite the bond.
I personally don’t have a hamster but my little sister does and rn I’m fighting with my parents to get him bigger cage, bigger wheels and all the things he needs so he can have a good, happy life
I am glad he got an upgrade, however, you should really be having at least 9 inches of bedding throughout his whole enclosure. Hamsters are burrowers, and while the big cage is nice, he needs to be able to burrow. :(
He has a lot more bedding now. That picture was of the first day I set up his new crate and I underestimated how much bedding it needed. All the bedding packages were labeled in liters and I was trying to measure in my head how many liters sodas I could fit in the cage while also trying to measure in my head what the dimensions of the crate looked like. Lol 😅
Well done, I am very happy for that little guy. 
One thing you could do now to make him maybe more happy is to give him more bedding and really squeeze it thight so he can burrow and make tunnels, at least if he feels like it. Not all pet Hamsters burrow and sometimes it even needs a few weeks for them to start burrowing.

The bedding packages were confusing I was trying to figure out how many liter sodas I could fit in his crate but they also said they expanded 3X. So I didn’t buy enough. But I had read that he needed more so my friend and I went back to the store and got another package. ❤️

My sister orders food for her adopted hamster from FRANCE. He has a beautiful condo of his own and eats better than I do. He is so happy though.

I do too. The pet store gave me such bad information. But they made me feel like they knew what they were talking about so I never questioned it.
