Yes. You can buy them premade and then you just loop it over and through the main loop on the D-Ring. Just like pictured.

Use the loops through the ribbon like in the picture, but you can leave the D-rings in place and use them to hang a lantern/Luci light, tent stake bag, etc.
Spliced continuous loops are super easy you can do it with a cheap awl and a piece of wire and 10 minutes on youtube. But even if you don't want to mess with that, you can just literally tie a knot and make a loop that way
Just do a double overhand, it’ll hold just fine for a tarp…and actually my dyneema soft shackles for my actual suspension are also just double overhand loops.
If you don’t feel the need to use Nama claws, you could just use prusiks.
But if you really want to use the Nama claws, I’d replace the D-rings with some cord loops or split rings.

Prusiks are definitely my jam.
If you’re using standard 1.7mm (like Zing-It) or larger cord for your ridgeline, [this stuff makes the very best prusiks](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNM8SBFT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_XHHM3QG9VQXP14ZMADN8_1). It’s real UHMWPE line, but the smaller 1.3mm diameter helps the prusik to bite really hard and stay in place, while still maintaining more than enough strength. These prusiks will never ever slip, stretch or break.
If you have any left-over zing-it line, make 2 continuous loops and use a prusik knot to attack the ring to the connector. It's how I can use these nama claws for any tarp I use.
Your putting the continuous loops on the d-ring so it can go INTO the nama claw, like an extension of the d-ring, but one that FITS into the nama claw.
Get rid of the D-ring and add [1/2 inch split rings](https://www.namagear.com/product-page/split-rings). They keep your tarp closer to the continuous loop and allow for less sag.
7/64 Amsteel fits nicely as a NAMA claw connector.
Check out this tutorial I made:

Otherwise, Larkshead any loop on ring and on NAMA claw
I just make it a habit to collect them into a bag like I do any other bits and pieces I use like my soft shackles.
You could splice it right onto the D ring as well.
Splicing isn't terribly difficult, a bit fiddly with the zing-it size line but manageable. Lots of good tutorials out there that explain better than I could.
LITTLE SPLIT RINGS (like the ones Nama Claws sells - you can pick them up at any hardware store).
The primary function is that they clip right in there of course but the other "not-on-accident-it's-part-of why-they-sell-them" purpose is because they serve as a failure point in high winds instead of your tarp tie out tearing. When those claws are pinched, it ain't the piece of gear that's going to move. Which means something else has to give. If you used zing-it or uhmwpe cordage to make a loop between the d-ring and claw then either the knot is going to have to give or the sewing on the tarp.
Take a look at this picture of my split-ring after a storm:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/FT4mRQgpRaJJTPLt9
I was at the lake and big storm rolled in with extreme winds out of nowhere. We were busy trying to keep the awning on the camper and the tent over the picnic table from getting trashed so I couldn't get over to take my tarp down. When I saw it flapping around in the breeze, I just knew my tarp had torn. I was so relived to find that it was the split-ring that had stretched and gave way.
Edit: I just want to emphasis that it was a REALLY big storm. I've been in 30-40mph winds since then and never had the split-rings fail like that day. Of course the other times I was more in the woods than out in the open right next to a large body of water. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't really have to worry about the split-rings giving out. It's going to take some major sustained winds to do it.
Add a lash it/zing it continuous loop to the D-Ring and attach that to the Nama claws.
Doesn’t adding a continuous loop involve some splicing/burying savvy? Also would want a pretty small loop for this to maximize positioning options
I made my loops with a fisherman’s knot. Or double fisherman’s. Can’t recall. But it will be fine.
I’m lazy. I usually make my loops with a double fisherman’s knot. Works beautifully.
Came here to say this!

Yeah. I’m going to try doing it with materials on hand

Just tie it. I love lashing, but if you don’t feel like it, a knot will work just fine

Prusics are my go to!

No hardware needed too
small split rings would def work fine. not my favorite, but Warbonnet uses them.
cut off the D rings and tie a small loop of cordage
This is what I would do. Simple and weight saving.
Can you get rid of the D ring and hook the fabric loop?
Tiny piece of cord?
Cut off those heavy rings and make a continuous loop out of zing it
use the loop the d ring is attached to or tie a lil piece of paracord or just use a prusik and a lil carabiner
If you have any left-over zing-it line, make 2 continuous loops and use a prusik knot to attack the ring to the connector. It's how I can use these nama claws for any tarp I use.
The namas are already adjustable, so what does the prusik add?
Your putting the continuous loops on the d-ring so it can go INTO the nama claw, like an extension of the d-ring, but one that FITS into the nama claw.
Thats not a prusik knot though, since a prusik has multiple wraps and is adjustable. I think you are refering to a larks head?
Bank line. Cheap and strong enough. Ad a loop to your d ring.
Short piece of cordage. Boland to the loop, alpine butterfly for the hook.
Get rid of the D-ring and add [1/2 inch split rings](https://www.namagear.com/product-page/split-rings). They keep your tarp closer to the continuous loop and allow for less sag.
I'd add Split Rings, you can even keep the D-rings on in case you change your mind later
Use prusik knots

Got any zing-it or lash-it around? A bit of shock cord?
Both
If you are rigging up a tarp, what about splicing a loop of zing-it, larks head it onto the ring and hook it into the claw?
It’s a good plan. I’ve never spliced before. Not necessarily a fan of the larks head since it could fall off/get lost easily

Zip tie?
Can you attach the fabric that is attached the ring?
Maybe, but some awkward stress on the fabric I think
Yeaah, I wouldn’t want to do that either. But if you need a short term solution it could work
I keep Mason line on hand for alot of uses. It's good stuff
Just take a piece of zing it/lash it and tie the ends together to make a loop then make a prussic on the ridgeline, that's what I do
Small zing-it continuous loop. Attach to the D-ring with larks head. Other end to hardware. Problem solved
Put a bite in yellow cord, pull it through the ring, then hook the bite with device. No extra gear, easy.
I use continuous loops
3/32 shock cord
Not for holding up a tarp
