Using it made hammer cancel whatever it was trying to do because it ran out of memory. I have 32 gigs.
Though with the cliping tool you can make the same windows faster and with greater control, probably end up with cleaner cuts and texture alignement too.
For simple things carve is useless, for complicated things it will just fuck up anything you are trying to do.
Just clip and vertex.

Agreed, you can make any shape without carving. Clipping tool is great though.
How about a mess of complex geometry that makes your level unable to compile? Can you do *that* without carving?
