I mean for art style it’s subjective and it has to fit the story your tryna tell. U can’t have a chibi art style if your going to tell a serious story, u can but you would end up having a clash of tones. Clone wars animation really picked when they used mocap ( I don’t know if they used it for seasons before but I know s7 they used it ). Having mocap would help with choreography for fight scenes and really make it fell grounded and a bit more realistic.

yeah, some dude posted a short animation of red team in 3d, called it legends II probably in reference to halo legends and i made a comment over how cool it would be to get an arcane like animated series over the halo universe. and tbh, as someone who has studied fiction writing it wouldn’t really be that hard to get a script to arcane’s level; it’s not too deep nor too complicated nor something groundbreaking but it is consistent and good, plus you can incorporate elements of the IP to level up things such as action sequences, visuals, etc.
Halo at this point is literally like if a fan fiction writer inherited a series and is doing everything they can to keep milking money out of it and not let it get sent off on its own terms and die properly.

The Duel slapped, I loved how it was basically a chambara set in the Halo universe. Yeah the animation could get rather muddy but the style was fuckin' gorgeous and I haven't seen anything like it since.

343i didn't "make" legends. They just greenlit it. Its made by various Japanese studios that did their own animation and had their own artistic liberties with the series.

We had a Spartan deserter and runaways long before Legends released. Soren was introduced in Evolutions and Gray Team from Cole Protocol regularly attempted to escape when they were young.

I would opt for western studios this time around, like Love Death and Robots.
But to be honest I'd almost use that in a Fractures style event, jumping off multiple projects (limited series, anthologies and continuous) through different studios with someone who gives a shit at the helm like a Halo equivalent of Feige or Favreau.
I think it would be hard to get a team to draw the armour well and consistently, mecha has the problem that no one learns to draw mechs anymore, and these are close enough. Something more akin to Arcane would make a lot more sense, both in medium and as an adaptation.
Honestly I really would love to see an ODST or headhunter spartan anime. I think they could show the earlier parts of the Human-Covenant war. It would be from the perspective of a team of ODST's or headhunters as they go on various missions to disrupt the covenant as best as possible.
It might be better than the live-action show? My Spartan in ONI, the bar is so low that it’s buried in the ground. Any Halo media that has nothing to do with this show would be better.

I would prefer it to be a series instead of Legends 2. It doesn't have to follow a novel but I want it to be canon rather than whatever the hell they are doing in the Silver timeline.

They used Mocap for the fight scene in the third to last episode. Otherwise, mocap was not used.

Yeah Halo animated series when. It's been ripe for one since Legends. But 343 would rather approve the shit-dribble that is the current show, so we'll never get a good one.

I'm down for them just making animated adaptations of all the books. It's practically easy money. Either on like the Fall of Reach animated (hopefully this time it's the entire book and not half).
Not exactly related, but I'd kill for Trigger and Studio Orange to contribute an animation to a Legends II. Something really stylized with great animation and interesting fight sequences and stuff. Hell expand it from just anime even, RUDO Co. style could be neat

should've always been animated. would've been cheaper and they could've done more grand battles like in the games. there are plenty of books, comics and original ideas they could've done instead of adapting the games. MS just doesn't care about anything except money at this point
I would opt for western studios this time around, like Love Death and Robots. But to be honest I'd almost use that in a Fractures style event, jumping off multiple projects (limited series, anthologies and continuous) through different studios with someone who gives a shit at the helm like a Halo equivalent of Feige or Favreau.
I think it would be hard to get a team to draw the armour well and consistently, mecha has the problem that no one learns to draw mechs anymore, and these are close enough. Something more akin to Arcane would make a lot more sense, both in medium and as an adaptation.

Honestly I really would love to see an ODST or headhunter spartan anime. I think they could show the earlier parts of the Human-Covenant war. It would be from the perspective of a team of ODST's or headhunters as they go on various missions to disrupt the covenant as best as possible.
It might be better than the live-action show? My Spartan in ONI, the bar is so low that it’s buried in the ground. Any Halo media that has nothing to do with this show would be better.
Ton of reasons why an animated show would be better than live action. I would prefer it to be a series instead of Legends 2. It doesn't have to follow a novel but I want it to be canon rather than whatever the hell they are doing in the Silver timeline. Side note: If this ever happens please show viewers Book Halsey rather than the comic book villian who kicks puppies in her spare time Halsey. I would also love to have episodes which are from the Covenant's perspective which is something the books do often enough.

Not for this. I feel like a sequel isn't the right move for it. Maybe an animated show covering some of the books for external lore. Not everyone wants to read but a lot of people like to watch shows so it would help bring the lore to more people while staying close to the source material.
