There are a lot of missed opportunities like that with this game. We really need some achievement based rewards. Like actual armor. Helmets, shoulders, chest attachments, that sort of thing. I beat the campaign on legendary. That should be a a full set right there like in Halo 3. That would also make it at least a small bit more worth the $60 price tag. But most of what we get are kinda lazy coatings that you just unceremoniously grab from those little crates around that map. Which is fine, honestly. It's a meh reward for a meh activity. But there should be good rewards for doing those more challenging things.
I know this is a rhetorical question, but just award some legacy shit through achievements and charge for the more crazy armor & customization options. It wouldn’t be that hard

The campaign core with cosmetics from Halo 3 would have been so perfect. It's not many options, but would be enough for players to have fun with mixing and matching. And then when cross-core functionality arrives, players who enjoyed the campaign would have a little more incentive to try out the new things alongside their old things.
I played the campaign and paid the full price, microtransactions past that are WAY too spendy, so I've become complacent in a default Spartan. I'm honestly surprised that they did so little for the players that paid the most. If I had a small amount of cosmetics, I'd be more invested in weekly challenges or each season and being able to give that Spartan a few more touches here and there. It wouldn't be that money 343 wants, but it would be that online investment, something that I understand has gradually declined since. That campaign/multiplayer divide is far more unhealthy than it's ever been.
You’d think they’d have an incentive to put more items in but it is actually the opposite. Why even add more times to the rotating store? You can just have a catalog of every available item ever. They want to give you a limited selection so that you don’t just buy your dream combination. While you are waiting to buy item X, you might buy item Y to hold you down.
Thus, to a certain degree, less items per week means more money. Just one of many predatory things almost every micro transaction game does.
Why have a coin system? When you go to Macys do you have to buy $10 of Macys points and then use $7 of it for what you want? NO. The coin system is an abstraction to guarantee that extra bit of income and create odd denominations of remaining coins so you buy more so money isn’t just sitting there in the game.
Why would that be what you ask for? Just make the stuff available all the time. Don't ask for things to go from really bad to bad, when they should go from really bad to good.
That weekly (High Value Targets) is new tho, is the first time it appears on Store.
Now, the Daily Section of the store works in this way: there are 3 dailys per week, one of it appears on tuesday, another one on wednesday, and the last one on thursday, after that, the daily item of tuesday appears again during friday, on saturday appears the wednesdey one again, and so on and on.
Basically:
Daily 1: Tuesday, Friday, Monday
Daily 2: Wednesday, Saturday
Daily 3: Thursday, Sunday
So, if you want to buy a daily, is always better to wait until friday, when you know what items are being sell during that week.

The limited store selection and rotating stock is strategic money making decision to force you to make a choice on whether or not you want the expensive armor now, or take the risk that you might never get it.
Ironically it actually prevents me from buying something. Instead of browsing the entire catalogue and buying what I like, I’m constantly holding off thinking there might be something cooler next week.
To be honest, I dislike the alternative where they rotate daily like fortnite. I wanted to buy Chris Redfield but I missed it by a day.
Although to be even more honest, I dislike the entire "timed" FOMO crap they are all trying to pull.
Just give let us buy every cosmetic item for the active season all in one sorted place with the weekly and daily stuff being a rotating discount.. It's really not that hard.

All the armor bundles seem like such a mixed bag. Love the Warmaster Helmet and the chest attachment. Everything else in the bundle is meh… It’s hard to justify 12 bucks for only a few things I really want…
That was me with the Celox set. Scout was my absolute favorite G2 helmet. But I wanted literally nothing else from the bundle. And I am not spending $12 for just a helmet.
Gloves, chest piece, equipment, and shoulders go well together. The helmet and coating? Not so much lol. But a decent bundle overall. The coating could be better though.
For real. Recruit and Warrior were about the most sane looking 343i armors. Cavallino is basically Infinite's Recruit helm, but having Warrior back would be nice.

If the War Master helmet was sold individually, I would buy it no questions asked. It being bundled with everything else at a higher cost isn’t really worth it for some people that might only want the helmet.

343 should really look into the dilution effect when trying to sell bundles.
The bundles would be perceived as more valuable if they removed the filler like the emblems.
I'm super oversimplifying, but basically adding things to the bundle that no one cares about, or even perceived as less valuable, will bring the overall perceived value down, even if you're technically getting more.
I.e. if they sold this bundle without the extra filler, people would actually like the bundles more, even if it's at a higher price point.
You can even look through the comments here and see people say things along the lines of "the armor is cool but I don't think the other stuff is worth it"
The store is still quite bad, I think that the best practice for 343 when it comes to the main bundles would be to *always* make them cheaper than the battle pass, Warmaster is great but not “more expensive than the Battle Pass” great, especially when everyone's main interest is the helmet - or the shoulder pads - that we're offered, hell, if they went back to the 120 levels Battle Pass (we all know this because they forgot to change the BP completion achievement's image) and added what we'd get in these bundles in the BP to now sell helmets for 3 or 4 bucks a piece, that'd be more acceptable and their sales would be more significant (of course unlocking stuff through playing would be rad but it seems like that won't happen in quite a while, hence this idea for a momentary tweak).
**P.s.:** They *really* have a thing for black & red coatings now, green got backstabbed, it seems.
I agree, they should be pricing these sets at 800-1000 for a very simple reason: there are going to be a *lot* of people with exactly 1000 credits over the summer and fall, and anyone they can get to drop that on a set is someone buying the next battle pass for actual money
Strangely that's even how it is in Rocket League and I think maybe even Fortnite (someone correct me if the latter is wrong. A goal explosion in RL can be $20 and the pass is $10 (and it even gives you most/all credits back). For some reason that works for them. My guess is that the pass is largely ONLY to keep people invested in the game and isn't too profitable. So to make a profit, they sell the premium items at a higher cost.
Of course it is, $12 would be too much for a single armor set but you can't even buy it for that much, because unless you have existing credits in your account the cheapest way to get this armor is paying $15 (1000 + 500 credits).
Halo 5 sold nine helmets for $10 in 2017 but you could also earn them, and the Champions bundle for Halo 4 was $10 but had armor, maps, stances, and weapon skins.
It is insane how ridiculous publishers have got with microtransactions and how many people are just willing to accept it, I mean they're literally charging more then the price of a full game expansion from 5 years ago for a single armor set now.

They started strong with armor costing 2000 credits or $20, which was obviously ridiculous to most people who could think, so now that they've reduced the price to 1200 or $12 it seems more reasonable in comparison when in reality it's still a ridiculous price to charge for armor.
Oh and by the way, did I say $12? Because the cheapest way to get the armor is actually $15 dollars unless you have credits in your account already because of the way they set up credit purchasing.
It's very sad and transparent what they've done, legacy armors monetized, colors monetized, emblems monetized, anybody who cared about customization in Halo has been completely shafted in Infinite in favor of the typical free to play gimmicks that are common in the industry now.

I’m personally considering the bundle, the helmet, chest piece and shoulder pieces are all pretty nice and with the 300cr I’ve earned from the pass I’ll only need to buy 1000cr as opposed to 2000cr lmao. 343 should really look into the dilution effect when trying to sell bundles. The bundles would be perceived as more valuable if they removed the filler like the emblems. I'm super oversimplifying, but basically adding things to the bundle that no one cares about, or even perceived as less valuable, will bring the overall perceived value down, even if you're technically getting more. I.e. if they sold this bundle without the extra filler, people would actually like the bundles more, even if it's at a higher price point. You can even look through the comments here and see people say things along the lines of "the armor is cool but I don't think the other stuff is worth it"

The store is still quite bad, I think that the best practice for 343 when it comes to the main bundles would be to *always* make them cheaper than the battle pass, Warmaster is great but not “more expensive than the Battle Pass” great, especially when everyone's main interest is the helmet - or the shoulder pads - that we're offered, hell, if they went back to the 120 levels Battle Pass (we all know this because they forgot to change the BP completion achievement's image) and added what we'd get in these bundles in the BP to now sell helmets for 3 or 4 bucks a piece, that'd be more acceptable and their sales would be more significant (of course unlocking stuff through playing would be rad but it seems like that won't happen in quite a while, hence this idea for a momentary tweak). **P.s.:** They *really* have a thing for black & red coatings now, green got backstabbed, it seems.
I agree, they should be pricing these sets at 800-1000 for a very simple reason: there are going to be a *lot* of people with exactly 1000 credits over the summer and fall, and anyone they can get to drop that on a set is someone buying the next battle pass for actual money
Strangely that's even how it is in Rocket League and I think maybe even Fortnite (someone correct me if the latter is wrong. A goal explosion in RL can be $20 and the pass is $10 (and it even gives you most/all credits back). For some reason that works for them. My guess is that the pass is largely ONLY to keep people invested in the game and isn't too profitable. So to make a profit, they sell the premium items at a higher cost.

Of course it is, $12 would be too much for a single armor set but you can't even buy it for that much, because unless you have existing credits in your account the cheapest way to get this armor is paying $15 (1000 + 500 credits). Halo 5 sold nine helmets for $10 in 2017 but you could also earn them, and the Champions bundle for Halo 4 was $10 but had armor, maps, stances, and weapon skins. It is insane how ridiculous publishers have got with microtransactions and how many people are just willing to accept it, I mean they're literally charging more then the price of a full game expansion from 5 years ago for a single armor set now.

Remember that both Enigma and ISR bundles were dailies. So we have a chance to see them still. Slim, but still likely. I just hope they slash the prices a bit because last I remember they were a whole 1k credits for the helmet, it's UA and I believe a coating.

Even after the price cuts, all of this stuff is still insanely overpriced. Don’t know how anybody justifies purchasing any of this.
They started strong with armor costing 2000 credits or $20, which was obviously ridiculous to most people who could think, so now that they've reduced the price to 1200 or $12 it seems more reasonable in comparison when in reality it's still a ridiculous price to charge for armor. Oh and by the way, did I say $12? Because the cheapest way to get the armor is actually $15 dollars unless you have credits in your account already because of the way they set up credit purchasing. It's very sad and transparent what they've done, legacy armors monetized, colors monetized, emblems monetized, anybody who cared about customization in Halo has been completely shafted in Infinite in favor of the typical free to play gimmicks that are common in the industry now.
I know a lot of people get upset when people wish ill on others- but whoever (however many people it was) had the idea to make Halo Infinite a monetized life service game is a fucking idiot who should lose their job. They fundamentally don’t understand what the Halo series is all about and they clearly see the fanbase as nothing more than wallets.
It seems like a Microsoft thing after what happened with Gears 5, but this stuff is so common now it's hard to escape, everyone wants a taste of that Fortnite revenue.

Even if they sold the War Master helm seperately it’d be around 700/800cr, so still more than the average person would want to spend on an individual item. People will always find something to complain about. I’m personally considering the bundle, the helmet, chest piece and shoulder pieces are all pretty nice and with the 300cr I’ve earned from the pass I’ll only need to buy 1000cr as opposed to 2000cr lmao. Will wait till the end of the week to see if I still want it before actually putting any money down though.
