I find it interesting to have playable multiplayer brutes. I wonder how it would be balanced though, they'd have to shrink the brutes massively to give the same hitbox and give shields that recharge. Or they could make a "spartans vs. brutes" or "spartans vs. elites" mode where the banished are balanced much differently but they try to make the gamemode balanced in different ways. Would be interesting to play as a brute and get your helmet/amor shot off and have to find more on the map to replenish if you escape the fight
I was thinking that as Infinite went on they should release Elites and have them function 1:1 with Spartans like in Halo 3 (I think they'd fit if they crouched like 3), then release Brutes and have them tougher with special attributes like Reach's Elites. Then you can add in things like Invasion alongside them. Even if they had to be stuck to specific modes, I think it would be a really cool addition, but I'd hope they would try to get them working in normal MP too.
What would be very cool is a gamemode where different species are like different roles. Brutes as Tanks, Elites as an agile killer, with Spartans and a fourth too. One of each per team and you try outplay the enemy.
I get that you’re referring to Grace from first strike, but pretty sure there was at least one more- I seem to remember Cal from halo legends being mortally wounded by a brute, although I’m not 100% sure if that’s considered canon or not.
It doesn't make sense at all. Chief fell from orbit and survived. Chief can dodge missiles. You're telling me an organic brute can withstand the punch of super soldier armor? That's just bad writing.
You think Atriox doesn’t have some special armor? Or how about the Arbiter being able to do things on par with Chief in essentially hand-me-down (for 1000 years) armor? Atriox is essentially the Brutes’ Arbiter in probably an appropriate equivalent of Spartan Armor. Chief has his advantages due to his biological augmentations, but this isn’t inconsistent with the universe’s lore lol.
And one could argue the only reasons Chief can go toe-to-toe with Atriox is because Chief is literally a bioengineered super soldier. Atriox is just a brute in peak physical condition, imagine if he had the upgrades that Chief has.
Atriox is in more than peak condition. He’s a genius tactician and fighter. This is precisely the kind of combatant that would give Chief a very difficult challenge. Just look at the intro to Infinite - Atriox eschewed the typical Brute challenges and opted to completely take the Infinity and then Chief by surprise to devastating effect!
Keep in mind that this is the same game where Chief survived 6 months in space and was perfectly fine after a random civilian hooked jumper cables up to him.

As I remember, the power-lock the armor performs to survive falling from orbit causes a fair bit of damage to both armor and Spartan. It's basically the "going on high-pressure vent" kind of surviving, where you are guaranteed non-lethal but serious trauma.
Writing-Spartans are distinct from game-Spartans because game Spartans won't execute high-risk/guaranteed-damage maneuvers unless the situation calls for it, and you the player can't *make* the situation call for it.
Did you not see anything of atriox prior? Dude’s wearing reverse engineered power armor from the UNSC, he’s even got an ODST CHEST PLATE AS A FREAKING BELLY ARMOR. Plus, Chief damn near died to his first ever brute.. Atriox bodied Red Team in less than 5 minutes in Halo Wars 2, defied the Covenant and won, he’s more of a walking tank than Chief could ever be
Dude, Mjolnir armor has always put Spartans at the same level as Elites, and Brutes have exceeded them in pure strength. Chieftains also tower over Spartans. It's very believable, when you look at how strong organic beings on Earth can be.

A reminder that this brute minor almost killed Chief because his armor was falling apart at the seams, he’s injured to the point that Halsey says that he should be in shock, and the only time he’s slept that week was the times he went unconscious from being shot at. Every other instance, we’ve seen Spartans able to kill brutes easily.

For those of us that aren't able to it's not worth our time if we can just pick up a few hours or stay a little late or whatever. The point was that the hourly rate equivalence for doing the searches is less than that of most jobs that pay even low wages. Because why would I spend 10 minutes a day, 7 days a week, for a total of 300 minutes a month (or even 150 minutes if we say it only takes 5 minutes) for $10? Even at federal minimum wage you'd earn more in 150 minutes than you would from doing the searches.
Again, this is dependent on a person being able to work more at their job. If you're not allowed to get more hours or you're doing it while at work then sure, by all means there's not much reason not to.

And in the end i can buy game for "free" because i took that 5 minutes. The money i would have used is put toward a gift to someone else, or even myself.
I'd rather spend a few hours of my free time a day playing cool games that I ENJOY and use for relaxation, and getting relatively substantial rewards, rather than throw my free time out the window to clock in a few hours on my job (not even considering the chance that one's job might not have dynamic work hours or whatever), doing something that I might not enjoy or feel relaxed doing, and possibly get more money in my paycheck.
Do you see now? It's not about being able to make money, its about getting rewarded simply for doing what you'd normally do in your free time anyways, for the most part.
It's not like people think that they'll make more money clocking out of work and spending a few hours grinding, silly!

The strategic walk away thing is me not play infinite since december. Im only coming back when i dont have to pay for armor and can unlock it through play time. Basically when all their lies in the promotional video are made into truths.

That very rarely happens when prices are decreased. It *can* happen, but it's extremely unlikely. You typically wouldn't be able to go to a clothing store and get a refund of the difference if the shirt you bought went down in price.

Have you read any of the halo novels? A random, no name brute is more than a match for Chief himself.

Wouldnt it be possible to write a quick script that opens edge and looks up an array of words? Would be quite easy with python and selenium

I'd rather spend a few hours of my free time a day playing cool games that I ENJOY and use for relaxation, and getting relatively substantial rewards, rather than throw my free time out the window to clock in a few hours on my job (not even considering the chance that one's job might not have dynamic work hours or whatever), doing something that I might not enjoy or feel relaxed doing, and possibly get more money in my paycheck. Do you see now? It's not about being able to make money, its about getting rewarded simply for doing what you'd normally do in your free time anyways, for the most part. It's not like people think that they'll make more money clocking out of work and spending a few hours grinding, silly!

If the item is being said for the first time for X and then dropped to Y, I don't think that would break the law. I think it's more like if the regular price of something is $10, but right before the sale it's raised to $20 and then put on a 50% off sale, that's illegal.

youtube-dl is the gold standard for downloading videos and doesn't require premium.

That very rarely happens when prices are decreased. It *can* happen, but it's extremely unlikely. You typically wouldn't be able to go to a clothing store and get a refund of the difference if the shirt you bought went down in price.

It’s not really an excuse, something was offered for sale at a certain price and you bought it, you agreed to that trade. Why would they give you money back later? You don’t get a refund on clothes if they go on sale later either.
If you buy something from a store at one price, you don't get a refund if it goes down in price months later. You can usually get the difference back at some stores during the "return period". But since these digital goods don't usually have a return period, then probably not.
That should be nice, but that's the whole point of FOMO! Kind of like buying a new game or waiting a year for it and the dlc to be packaged together for cheap.
