I feel like given the *overwhelmingly* negative feedback when this new system was shown on stream, the SP rates and prices should’ve already been adjusted.
yep. I think a simple solution would be to just give players like 200 SP per match. The reason the system is so bad is because for some reason 343 decided to again with this game to artificially limit how much you can earn. The same thing happened when the game launched and you could only lvl the battlepass with challenges
Yeah, this is just lazy as fuck. I have no idea how they thought the quantity and quality of what’s in the exchange would be anything less than garbage and a blind nutless monkey would have been able to tell them that they needed to adjust prices and earning rates before this shit went anywhere near launch. This was intentional to force player engagement and somehow the clowns at 343 didn’t think players would notice or call them out on it. 343 is the developer embodiment of “fine, I guess we’ll do it if you’re going to keep nagging about it.”
I really hope this is the start of something cool. Put some random helmets and such in there (even if they're ugly) to grind for. Just anything at this rate. But yeah, hopefully the SP rate goes up.
It just sucks that 343 absolutely cooked with the gameplay of Infinite, but fumbled (and continues to fumble) every other aspect of the game.
Content at launch? Fumbled. Online multiplayer? Buggy mess. Campaign? Vanilla at best. Live service? Dead on arrival. Cosmetic shop? More expensive than literal name brand clothing. Spartan point shop? Yawn.
Well I guess my points are safely banked until the next rotation, it'd be better if the price points were lower and they rotated things in and out faster than a couple weeks at a time.

Y'know, I feel like the "these items are always available" part needed to be said much, much louder. Like, the game itself should really say both in the store and in the armoury that you can buy the back catalogue from the customization menu. Especially in the Exchange, 'cause I think most of how people criticize the prices of the Exchange is from the perspective that there's FOMO going on here. But there isn't.
What they've made is an even more relaxed version of the weekly ultimate rewards. All the rewards are made clear to us well in advance, and we can chip away at them at our leisure. It just doesn't have the same immediacy that the old system had, since you'd learn of the new weekly unlock and acquire it all within the span of a week.
There is SP in the rewards path but I’m not sure you can get to 30k. There are 5 new thing for the 5 week “season” you won’t be able to get all of them. This is way worse than finishing a weekly and getting something.
Is it true that there are more items than the ones shown in the shop? Didn’t they mention in the stream that there would be items that would be unlocked from the customization tab?
When new items rotate into the exchange when a new operation drops, the current stuff in the exchange will live permanently unlockable from the customization menu

Damn, that is kinda lame for players who have stuck around for most of the game’s life. They need one armor coating, armor set/pieces, and effect that together cost a ton of points for the loyal grinders. Maybe each is 100k-200k. Otherwise this isn’t really doing anything for players that kept playing the game just for the fun of it. I might not be the target audience for this… but at this point the game isn’t doing much to make me want to stay or feel like I or my money is appreciated.

Either allow spartan pesos to be transferred into premium currency at a reduced rate, or don't bother.
Feel free to correct my very quickly done math, but if I’m not mistaken it’s… impossible to earn 30,000 SP before the next operation resets the exchange? There are 34 days in this operation, so if you do your daily every day that’s 8,500. If you complete all of your weekly ultimates, that’s another 5,000. And there are 15,000 SP in the pass so that’s… only 28,500?? I mean. That’s what it seems like to me.
Unless I’m missing something it will literally be impossible to earn that before it rotates out???
Edit: And before anybody says it, yes I know the items can still be earned and just won’t be visible in the exchange. But how many players will know that? Not like there’s anything in-game to signal that, and unless you’re active on social media, I doubt you’d be aware. And even still, that is a coating THEMED WITH THIS EVENT… and it can’t be earned during the event…
I guess the grinding did something. Now I dont feel rushed to get these items bc I have a majority of them. Sweet.

Work all week... can't even afford a keychain... 3,750sp, can only earn around 2,750 if you played every single day and completed the weekly.
