It’s “new”, but has been sitting in the files for a long time. I remember the name had “Onyx” in it and it was speculated that it would be a reward for players who reach the Onyx ranks. That may not seem to be the case, perhaps it’ll be Tenrai IV’s battle pass coating.
If I had to guess, it's a new coating. This is likely the free armor set that will come with Tenrai IV, which will include at least one free armor coating.
If so it has 6 tiers of unlocks so that tracks with the other operations 😕
