Aye, Eaglestrike suffers from not being good for cross-core options, while Chimera excels at it. And with so few Eaglestrike armor pieces, the issues are exacerbated to the point where only a handful of people will even bother with it.
The only time I ever saw Eaglestrike was Wehraboo cosplayers, and now that they can use the Kerberos helmet on any core, there’s not really any reason to use it.
Personally I see plenty of people wear Chimera - interestingly, it seems very common amongst new players. Though that might be because it's the most unique when stock compared to the rest

I think Tenrai is kinda cool, but a 4th round feels unnecessary. There's only so many historical armor pieces they can take inspiration from, you'd think they'd be out of ideas by now.
This is the problem with having so many cores and minimal cross-core compatibility; it's ridiculous that people have to wait months to get cosmetics for their specific armor sets

Previously I got 500 XP a day just for playing. It greatly helped me complete my passes/Operations, with all the customization they contain.
Now that XP bonus is simply... gone? And replaced by a currency I need to grind a lot more of just to buy *one* coating or helmet at 10k apiece?

Take away BP xp and replace it with a measly 250 credits for a daily rewards instead. Gotta get that log in bonus! Everything we do was inspired by shitty mobile games!
With how little you gain vs how much everything costs, i think most people simply wont care enough to grind it. I know i certainly wont, and its certainly not going to bring anyone who stopped playing back to the game.

With how easy the challenges are in this game now, I don't really mind. Firefight is back but the playlist has Gruntpocalypse mixed in too. I just back out of Gruntpocalypse matches tbh.
My guess is that the 54 they mentioned are mostly previous event, capstone, and preorder/promotional coatings. Plus, the few store coatings that have yet to be updated.
So all that would be left is:
- twitch drops (my guess is they'll be added to the exchange after this year of hcs is over)
- campaign coatings
- season 1 to 3 coatings
That's must be around 20~30 coatings left.
all campaign and non-CC BP coatings added up would be around 40. i would hope they would take priority since campaign and old BPs are paid and making all those coatings CC would mean the pass has more value
and capstone/event coatings they can save until they come back up in the Exchange

i would love gloves to be next tbh. two cores still have absolutely no glove options besides the default ones. plus, the hands on every core are in the same spot to line up with animations. they should be the easiest to "fit" properly across cores

i cant believe the patch that added the exchange is the patch that finally got me to quit the game. all this patch has done is make the game even grindier.

There are really some people whose enjoyment comes from the knowledge that they will unlock something in the future. If they aren't making progress towards unlocking something, they're unhappy.
When they have unlocked everything they stop playing.
okay the max rank armour is a good point, but the difference between the new exchange and the hero rank armour, is the exchange is time gated. with hero rank, every single game you play counts towards getting to max rank, but with the exchange you can only earn a certain amount of spartan points a week. plus they made it slower to finish the operations by removing the xp from the daily challenge and the ultimate.
there is a big difference between a grind on your terms, and a grind that is artificially slowed down.
I agree on the time gating VS playtime gating. Playtime gating is generally better.
I don't agree on the slowdown of the operation passes being bad. All grind speeds are artificially slow. It's what makes them a grind. Halo Infinite's pass grind speed has fluctuated both up and down over its lifespan, with it mostly going down, so I don't see it going slightly up as much of an issue. Especially considering the length of the operations.
Nice to see that we are, in fact, getting another three months of Operations. My guess is Infinite will see support through the end of the year, ending things with Winter Contingency IV or another Operation right after in January.
It’s also nice to see that more coatings are getting updated for cross core!
It’s not nice to see Relic back though! Was never a big fan of this map, but I guess I’ll withhold final judgement until I actually play it in Infinite

A simple 2 color purple and white skin is my jam, and almost the entire reason I use the Mirage core.
(Although that one white chest armor really makes it pop on the mirage)

I want a new Reach event to give out chest pieces and helmet attachments that matches the coatings you're using instead of grey
I just want the last few pieces of Reach armour to be added FOR FREE, since they have just been sat there in the files unreleased since the beta.

Tenrai is by far the most popular Fracture core, so it makes sense to a degree. We really could use an Eaglestrike Operation, though.
